Cambridge, Mass – Police and Professor Overreacted

<big>Cambridge, Mass – Police Arrest Professor Just Because He Was Black
by Jack Lee

Well folks looks like I must have Not misunderstood the reported facts of the situation and I don’t owe everyone an apology.

President Obama has reversed his previous conclusion that the cops acted “stupidly”. The President, trying to extricate himself from a racial incident he helped fuel, said he regrets maligning the Cambridge, Mass., police department over the arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr., a Harvard professor, on July 16 and that was not his intention. He felt that both the police and Professor Gates merely overreacted.

“Because this has been ratcheting up — and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting up — I want to make clear that in my choice of words, I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge police department and Sergeant Crowley, specifically” he said. “And I could have calibrated those words differently. And I told this to Sergeant Crowley. Obama spoke with Sgt Crowly by phone for about 5 minutes and said he had made a mistake and should have chosen his words more carefully.

No kidding Mr. President, ya really think so? This is the kind of stuff you learn NOT TO DO as a freshman in your State Assembly, but you didn’t have that opportunity did you? So you’re learning the hard way, as the President of the United States, a position which more and more people are begining to wonder if you were ready to handle?
