    English and only English.

    What a question!

Although I share your opinion about English in America and stemming the divisiveness permeating our society I am also strongly in favor of free speech. I can’t see banning political ads (making them illegal) in another or other languages.

I am strongly in favor of having ballots printed in English only.

Good answer, you get an A.

As just a side comment to what you said, I believe that all ads by Jerry Brown should be in the lost language of the Toletecs or in Pescadora, an extinct language of the fishermen of the Northern Coastal region of Peru 400 years ago.

If its a speech and publication by a private individual and organization they absolutely have the right to do so in any language they want. But, if its done by a public sector individual or agency they should be required to do so in English only.

As a public sector employee at a educational institution I was required to publish everything I created in multiple languages at a huge cost for interpreters and printing. Complete waste of tax dollars.

Jack: “I believe that all ads by Jerry Brown should be in the lost language of the Toletecs or in Pescadora, an extinct language…”

Yes that would be fitting. His many strange associations would support that idea…LOL!

Mark: “…does this mean all donations must be in dollars?”

    YES!

  6. Post Scripts says:

No Mark, but thats a good question. It actually means that if at all possible all your cash donations to DEMOCRATs must be in pesos for state elections and rubles if you are voting federally as in Obama’s election. This saves time trying to exchange our dollars for the currency of their sponsors. : )

  7. Anon says:

Since corporate campaign contributions are considered “speech” does this mean all donations must be in dollars?
