  1. Quentin Colgan says:

The guy in the chair doesn’t look old enough to be a WWII vet . . . .

  2. Toby says:

Quentin, how did you not win the election?

  3. Peggy says:

Must be because of the injuries he suffered in WWI.

  4. Libby says:

I think Quentin is intimating that WWII vets were the last to actually defend the nation.

Vets since then could, sadly, be described as pawns of corporate/imperial aggression … but I will refrain.

  5. Post Scripts says:

Libby I believe you are correct re what Quentin implied. Unfortunately his comment was an insult to our vets.

Oddly Quentin is a vet too, but he wasn’t wounded.

It was his good fortune not to be injured while serving his country. Vets took a risk for us while serving and this is why we honor ALL our vets. It is wrong to attach our politics to it. Quentin did and he was completely wrong..it was very bad judgement.

One of our readers and posters here was Vet from S. Korea and he served in a combat zone. He faced real life and death dangers under orders from his country and he did so in order to protect South Koreans and allow democracy to be extended to million of Koreans who might otherwise have been forced into communism.

We see what the communist side has done to their people and we see how freedom has worked out in the south…the world owes our vets a lot for this one. You wouldn’t say this soldier was a corporate pawn would you?

By the way he IS a disabled vet and he writes under the name of SOAPS.

  6. Post Scripts says:

    Toby…lol

Q and his rants ticked off the dems, the reps, the Libertarians, the conservatives, the liberals, the Tea Party people, the vets and about 1/10th of what was left voted for him. Great strategy, eh?

  7. Libby says:

“Oddly Quentin is a vet too, but he wasn’t wounded.”

And what the freak kind of snotty crack is that?

Has it occurred to you that you are not exactly consistent in your “moral” positions?

It’s occurred to the rest of us.
