Terence P. Jeffrey at CNS News puts the financial situation in America in terms we can all understand:

CNS News

Imagine that you had an average monthly income of about $170 balanced against average monthly expenses of about $940–and that you were more than $14,000 in debt. Then imagine that as of today, you had only $58.60 in cash left in your bank account and $130.50 left on your line of credit. Now multiply these numbers by 1 billion and you will have the up-to-date financial situation of the U.S. government.

The numbers were figured from data in a report issued at 4:00 PM today by the US Treasury Department.

Tina, if your asking would to do? Many would take the lead from Obama and get a new credit card, possibly a mastercard from the Bank of China. Problem solved!

  2. Tina says:

LOL…the one area where we can see some “leadership” from this Prez.

  3. Pie Guevara says:

Add to this debt the serious inflation many are predicting and the refusal to encourage oil drilling while demonizing oil companies and blowing billions to promote oil speculation in Brazil and you have Obama and his party’s formula for US economic recovery and solving energy independence.

I can’t be the only one that finds this completely and utterly insane.

  4. Tina says:

Sadly in the world view of “the one” it is perfectly sane. Spreading the wealth, when the pie is one size, means that the US of A must become as destitute as the third world nations. He’s worked so hard at it too!

  5. Harold EY says:

What have we learned in 2,065 years ?

“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

    Cicero 55 B.C.

    So, evidently: nothing..
