    Maybe you guys have already seen this bumper sticker – I just saw it yesterday up on Hwy 32:

    OBAMA: One Big-A** Mistake, America!

    I had lunch in Orland the other day, there was a couple of cattle ranchers sitting across the aisle from us. One guy says, “Well, if Obama set out to bankrupt the nation, I’ll say, he’s done a darned good job.”

    I think it’s a pretty safe bet, Obama is a one-term horror.

    But, let me quote Didion, quoting Yeats, “What rough beast, it’s hour come round at last, slouches toward Washington to be our president?” Perry? Elmer Gantry. Bachman? Idiot. Ron Paul? “Unelectable”

    If they don’t watch it, the Republicans are going to hand the One Term Horror a second term.

    I agree to some extent. Perry because he is just another Texas politician and I am fed up with Texas politicians, and Paul because he has zero charisma although I personally like the fellow.

    I believe Bachmann could overcome her negatives by pushing her positives and dropping the baggage. I think she is working on that just fine. Perry has the clear lead in polls now but I have a hunch that will not last long.

    Perry could overcome what I think are his long term negatives if he did less of the good ol’ boy Bush thing and more the statesman Reagan thing. But I don’t think that will happen with Perry.

    Perry’s treason remark was a huge gaffe, but the polls still show he survived it as if he had never made it, so what the heck do I know?

    Despite the liberal media’s continuing intense and unceasing ad hominem attacks on Palin she still polls well and she hasn’t even announced! Can’t count her out.

    Personally, I would like to see Palin run if only to watch her take names and kick some liberal-left-wing establishment media *ss.

    I hate to say it, but the best thing Republicans have going for them so far is Obama’s horrid leadership and failed policies. Which is why so many Republican candidates poll so well against the golf-pro-in-chief.
