   My precious anonymity has been outed by the anonymous “observer”. Thus ends Pie Guevara. I’ll admit this creation has been a lot of fun. I really thought the concept was a good idea and that I could possibly, eventually, maybe, improve my writing skills. But no, I am still a hack and the aspiring humorist goal is dead. I am no Mark Twain.

   Besides, this has become far too much fun, to the point of being a useless distraction that gets me nowhere. Thank you all for the forum in which to experiment in. You good folks have been more than patient with me. I’ll still keep reading.

   Pie, we still don’t know your real name, but perhaps that one person does and I’ve removed the name that observer used. We respect your right to anonymity and we would never divulge it even if we knew your real name.

   Consider that your anonymity is always just a keystroke away. Feel free to pick another name if you feel this one has been compromised.

   Would you like us to remove all your “Pie G.” comments so there is no possible backlash? We can do that, no problem.

   Speaking for myself, but I’m sure we all feel the same way, your commentary was helpful and educational. You’re a talented writer – you have a gift. Your brevity, spiced with wit and insightful commentary is outstanding. But, most of all you are our cyber friend – and we don’t want you to go. Please reconsider.

   Thanks for the kind words, but nope, I am done. Observer has won the day. Congratulations!

   I knew this day would come eventually. When I began this adventure I expected that at some point someone would have it in for me for expressing my opinions anonymously and would connect the dots and compromise that anonymity.

   If I knew who Observer was I certainly would not compromise his (her) anonymity. Chalk that up to foolish personal standards. I respect and understand his (her) wishes to remain anonymous. Nevertheless I do find it mildly interesting that he (she) felt the need to compromise mine.

   In any case, if I do not have to suck up to any progressives in 2013 I may be back with full disclosure. (You know how they are.) If my ship ever comes in you will see me wearing a Pie Guevara t-shirt at the next Tea party rally.
