People move where taxes are…

“IRS tax return data appears to confirm that people who make money tend to move to states where they can keep more of it while people who absorb government services tend to congregate in states that give out more of such services.”

I wonder if that’s true at the city level too? Bet it is….

Having a public safety net is a good idea, letting people use it as a hammock, not so much.

Interesting thought, Sean. Its important to create a community that values freedom. We need to constantly re-visit our policies that create a culture of dependence rather than a culture of independence.

    Excellent Sean!

We need a change in our city council. Every year our college grads are leaving Chico because there’s nothing here for them. Mayor Ann Schwab and her cronies fiddle around with silly things while Chico is dying on the vine.

We need tax revenue to support services, and that means we need decent jobs. We keep exporting our talent, lets give them a reason to stay in Chico! We need a city council that understands that and that the debate over paper or plastic is not our highest priority.
