The elephant in the room.
How NYC government works — http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/running_into_brick_wall_O7eD7uSm23n0BLdYhMz9eJ
A very good, clear presentation of the problem. Two questions arose for me but it may be that the answers wouldn’t have enough impact to matter…lol.
1. What impact on projections would a strong economy, resulting in more revenue flowing to government have?
2. How likely is it that our government will agree on sensible cuts.
Obama’s deficits have far exceeded previous deficit spending. Our economy has been sluggish, with a lot of people not working, so it’s hard to imagine that revenues flowing to government have been substantial.

According to the above site deficit spending exploded under Obama.
Bush 2007 $161 Billion (Democrats control the House)
Bush 2008 $459 Billion (Democrats win super majority)
Obama 2009 $1413 Billion
Obama 2010 $1293 Billion
Obama 2011 $1300 Billion (Republicans control the House)
Obama 2012 $901 Billion
And remember the democrat run Senate has not passed a budget for three years running.
It is time to get serious about turning this country around and headed toward fiscal strength both in our people and in our governments.
