Cultural Awareness Follows Zimmerman Verdict

The desire to improve race relations and raise cultural awareness as a result of the Zimmerman shooting continues to grow.   This weekend supporters for Trayvon Martin will be holding dialog rallies across the nation.  A common thread among the peace protesters is that white people too often feel threatened by black males that they see as violent and potentially dangerous.
trayvon45As a result of this rediculous, unwarranted and unfair stereotype people tend to overreact as Zimmerman did while he was being beaten and (allegedly) told he was going to die.

(shown above numerous cultural activists attempt to open a dialog with passing motorists in LA)

To educate people a number of random events were held across America this week and this weekend is predicted to be the largest educational events to date.

March 25-26: At least seven white people were attacked by mobs of black people in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  ”The detective also told Jacob that he believed the Trayvon Martin media frenzy is what prompted the attacks.”

April 5: A 78-year-old Ohio man said that he was the victim of a hate crime after a group of young black men attacked him while shouting, “This is for Trayvon.”

April 10: Police in Gainesville, FL investigated a “racially motivated” incident after several black men attacked a white man. The victim was punched in the face and was then struck several more times while he was on the ground. The attackers allegedly chanted, “Trayvon” before the attack.

April 25: An Alabama man was attacked by a mob of 20 black people in his home. The attackers used brass knuckles, pipes, paint cans, and other makeshift weapons to beat the victim.   ”one of the assailants referenced Trayvon Martin during the attack.”

April 26: A 15-year-old black male was charged with a hate crime for attacking and robbing white victims. Police say that the suspect pinned the victim, threatened him with a large tree branch, and then said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.” and “he was angry about the Trayvon Martin case.”

July 14: Riots in Oakland, California turned violent when protestors threw rocks at reporters and policemen, causing an estimated $50,000 in property damage.

July 15: An eyewitness claims that a group of young black men assaulted a Hispanic man while shouting, “This is for Trayvon!” The eyewitness stated, “They were just yelling and calling him names as they ran after him, but once they were hitting him and after that they started yelling, ‘This is for Trayvon, [expletive].'”

July 15: Several cultural events approaching riot level intensity with extensive property damage was reported in Los Angeles on Monday.trayvon-martin-prayer-rally

(L.A. Monday)  Kids in Los Angeles are shown at right helping to erect a steel fence to protect public property.  About 300 police officers were summonded the scene to assist them.

Meanwhile President Obama said Trayvon Martin could have been him, (no doubt many people wish it was) and his Attorney General, Eric Holder has dennounced the Stand Your Ground law found in 22 states in favor of the “duty to run away” theory.    It’s undeniable that had had Trayvon Martin elected to run away instead of confronting and beating Zimmerman this article would not have been necessary, however I still favor the Stand Your Ground Laws whenever flight is not an option and your life is on the line.

Speaking of cultural awareness… Martin’s homophobia, not Zimmerman’s (alleged) racism was the reason for this whole incident:   ”According to Trayvon Martin’s “girlfriend,” Martin didn’t go home after Zimmerman lost sight of him because he suspected Zimmerman was a predatory homosexual who might be hoping to molest him and who might molest his “little brother” at his dad’s girlfriend’s house if he were to go there. She said that she and Martin even talked about this and how the “creepy ass cracker” might pose a threat to his dad’s girlfriend’s young son. Wow! Can you imagine if a Christian girl said this?!!

In other words, Martin hung around the “T” for over 4 minutes after Zimmerman lost sight of him so he could confront this gay predator. Jeantel said that Martin would respond to a perceived gay threat with violence–her exact words were “whup-ass.” Martin just didn’t count on his victim being armed.

Where’s the liberal outrage over Martin’s violent homophobia and over Rachel Jeantel’s homophobia? Where is it?

Why are the liberal news media virtually ignoring what Jeantel said about this?”   http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?2442063-Where-s-the-Liberal-Outrage-Over-Trayvon-Martin-s-Violent-Homophobia

  1. Chris says:

Neither Martin nor his girlfriend ever said that he thought Zimmerman might be gay. The word used was “rapist.” By inventing a link between homosexuality and child predators that neither Martin nor his girlfriend ever made, it is the poster you linked to who is spreading homophobia, not Martin or his girlfriend, who never said a word about sexual orientation. Even the other Hannity fans on that message board called out that poster for his dishonesty and his continued efforts to assassinate the character of a dead teenager.

The protesters who have turned violent are being idiots, you’ll get no argument from me there.

Jack you should nurture this style both in your art and your writing!

Try the link Spectator.org referencing Mediaite:

Let’s start by mentioning the unmentionable. Unmentionable, that is, for liberals, if not for Rush Limbaugh, who has spent the last two days on his show doing the work the mainstream media simply refuses to do. Unmentionable too for the black leftist establishment and Attorney General Eric Holder. All of whom want to play the race card. But only if that race card has nothing to do with the startling question raised about Trayvon Martin by his friend, the prosecution star witness Rachel Jeantel in her CNN interview with Piers Morgan.

The unmentionable in this case is the question as to whether Trayvon Martin thought that he was about to be sexually assaulted by George Zimmerman, whom Trayvon may have perceived to be gay. Did this cause Martin to attack Zimmerman? That is exactly what Trayvon’s friend and the prosecution star witness Rachel Jeantel stunningly suggested the other night to CNN’s Piers Morgan. As Mediate.com (emphasis added—JL) summarized:

Jeantel insisted that Martin was “creeped out” and believed Zimmerman was following him, even worrying that he might be a “rapist.” She asked, “For every boy or every man who’s not that kind of way, seeing a grown man following them, would they be creeped out? (Italics mine)

She definitely suggested “homosexuality” when she said, “not that kind of way”. She also implied a belief: that homosexual could mean child predator. Her’s was a warning to Trayvon to run away…Trayvon’s first reaction or instinct was to attack!

(The more we learn about this case the worse it gets in terms of the federal government’s disgusting intervention and activism.)

I think it is important to continue to point out that Zimmerman and his family have been used and abused for political reasons in an unjust and immoral manner by the administration, race baiters, and black activist organizations. There are no winners.
