Five Colorado Counties Vote for Statehood

Colorado Update

For the first time since the Civil War, U.S. counties have voted to instruct their elected officials to pursue the possibility of forming a 51st state.   Residents of five Colorado counties voted Tuesday in favor of the resolutions.

Colorado has a strong statement in its constitution saying the people have the right to abolish the government anytime they believe it is necessary and form a new state.

  1. Libby says:

As usual, you left out a few important details: Six of the eleven angry counties voted against an investigation into sucession, including Weld county, the most prosperous of the rebel jurisdictions, and home to several of the movement leaders.

  2. Dewey says:

Frankly there were 11 states and 6 said no out of the eleven. But I would rather decolonize the North America Continent as a whole and give it back to the rightful owners the indigenous people. The white man can go back to Europe or abide by Indian law.

I will be on the side of the first nation and all American Indian’s to decolonize North America and rid ourselfs of the tyranny of the billionaires.

It is time those of us who are willing to admit the founding fathers stole this continent.

  3. Pie Guevara says:

It is a good start. I wish more of the 11 counties voting had voted to consider secession.

Of course Colorado Democracts deride and ridicule this movement that threatens their power.

  4. Pie Guevara says:

Addenda to the above: That is the Colorado Democratic Party power apparatus deride and ridicule. If registered Democratics in those five rural counties had not voted to consider secession,it may have not passed.

  5. Tina says:

I don’t know Dewey maybe we should give it back to the animals instead. the Indians are not native to the area except by earlier invasion

  6. Dewey says:

Wecome to the movement to decolonize the Americas!

Sounds better than fascism to me……

  7. Pie Guevara says:

The first one to de-colonize id

  8. Pie Guevara says:

What the heck? #7 accidentally prematurely posted by some inadvertent key stroke combination.

  9. Pie Guevara says:

The first on the de-colonization list should rightly be Dewey. If he had any moxie he would voluntarily de-colonize himself, immediately. Don’t let the door slam you in the rear on your way out.

  10. Pie Guevara says:

I would support Dewey’s anti-facist de-colonization efforts, but only if Europe agrees to mass immigration by Americans and Native American Tribes are forced to live like Paleo-Indians.

  11. Pie Guevara says:

Oops, my bad. I forgot the so called “Native Americans” came across a land bridge during the last ice age, and possibly traveled by boat or raft from China and Polynesia.

They gotta go. We should leave North America to the wolverines.

Oh wait … North American wolverines are a subspecies of Eurasian ancestors. They gotta go too. Don’t want North America falling into the hands of fascist colonizing wolverines.

  12. Dewey says:

You did not read it. The first nations people do not want to alienate white people. They are only doing this to stop the Corporate Globalization and rule of our countries.

Instead of laughing do some research. This is actually a New World Order and Rule by Corporation.

You are ignoring me on the Trans pacific partnership. A treaty that has been being negotiated behind closed doors for 11 years.

Canada pushed theirs through without a vote. The citizens of Canada are relying on the Treaties of the first nations which are now in the appeals court.

You might go back and listen to the speech by the prime minister of Canada. We are being kept from info on our treaty. A few slips to Congress have been made. A few leaks have come out. Listen to Prime Minister Harper he slips.

You will hear him say Global Economy with GLOBAL GOVERNANCE. Bottom Line Corporations are creating their so called new World order where a Global tribunal court will rule over these countries including America.

We deserve the right to see this treaty, debate this treaty, and they are secretly pushing this through right Now. So The State of Jefferson matters none when corporations are deciding our future by a Global Government and court.

NAFTA was a disaster, TPP as written is the end of America as a sovereign nation.

Also Human beings? I do not see any rights for them. They have absolutely no say in anything. Own a farm? Are you keeping XYZ from making profits off your land? Can be sued for their loss of profits?

We need to see this and not be excluded from it before it passes. I trust no Politician. You trust Obama? I guess so. You hear a peep from the Koch’s? Not at all. They will win governance.

They are working on the Atlantic treaty now as well.

A new state will not matter when a Global court can sue a person, state, city, country or whatever for projected loss of profit if a corporation is denied anything at all.

I never thought I would see this in my lifetime. The Koch’s will never say a word they are part of the negotiations. The treaty’s are being negotiated only by the corporations of the world and head of states.

Google around and find the info lots of leaks

  13. Tina says:

    Cockroaches!

    Roaches were here first…they rule.

  14. Pie Guevara says:

Dewey has become my favorite conspiracy theory nut, but still he can’t hold a candle to the fascist wolverines being held secretly in Area 51.

  15. Tina says:

Well Dewey I guess we could join in the fun and refer to Old George as Sora$$ just for fun.

  16. J. Soden says:

It’s a wake-up call for the CO Legislature. Remains to be seen if they will listen or be targets for more successful recalls.

  17. Tina says:

I agree J. This should be a wake up call to Colorado and also to all legislators. People are pretty fed up with authoritarian wasteful government bodies.
