Tina & Jack, you are right. Single payer government Medicare is a better system than private insurance Obamacare.
Jim Obamacare is garbage redistribution legislation that picks winners and losers, fails to treat people equally, and generally adds to the already failing healthcare industry rather than solving the very problems it was proclaimed to solve.
Medicare is a program that, along with Social Security is unsustainable and adding massive debt year after year. Unfortunately in both cases a lot of the money we have earned has been redirected to these programs and it would be criminal to simply end them for those who have few, if any, working years ahead of them. It would also be criminal to continue the programs for young people without reforming them so that their future retirement years are secured and their participation dollars are not merely robbed to pay for today’s retirees.
The governments only involvement in these two areas of individuals lives would be to require some level of security for medical and retirement. Personal accounts with choices for the individual makes more sense and would help to bring costs down dramatically.
I surmise that you might have thought your comment was a big gotcha for Jack and me. But we are way ahead of you and have advocated for saving the programs for those two old to choose an alternative and reforming for those who still have sufficient earning power to build a nest egg for retirement and would benefit from a personal retirement medical account.
CBS and Fox news have both been busted with their fake Obamacare ads. Bottom line. GOP is lying. Drug companies major complaint is they will have to disclose their payments to doctors to push their drugs.
The push is to ruin the ACA so they can continue to rip off taxpayers and their policy holders. There will be things to iron out in the ACA, The GOP negotiated most of the thinhs people complain about it was to be single payer.

Most the stories are fake. Employers have been pushing the costs on employees for years. policies go up every year. They cancel people when they get sick. Before the ACA in 2008 my insurance went up from $450.00 a mo to $1500.00 a mo for same policy. I had to go to a lesser policy with a high deductible with no coverage beyond $2000 a year.
Fox news is a foreign owned propaganda station and quite frankly the 5 or 6 station owners have turned TV news into propaganda all together.

We are now a 3rd world country. Our healthcare was someof the worst in the world per dollar. All those bad drug commercials are not because they are a mistake they are for profit. A person who dies from a poison generic drug can not even sue if they die!

Here’s a little fact that is indisputable. The ACA is self destructing. The seeds of destruction were written into the legislation that attempted to be all things to all people and lower costs at the same time. The formula doesn’t work in the real world. Never has and never will. It bumps up against the laws of nature and like gravity will knock you on your butt.

The Tea Party favors low tax rates and more individual control over personal decisions. The Tea Party defends the rights of every individual guaranteed in the Constitution.
