IRS Whistle Blower Says IRS Is Corrupt , Has been for Many Years

Posted by Tina

A twenty-six year veteran lawyer at the IRS says he’s been trying without success for many years to call attention the acts of corruption perpetrated by individuals within the IRS. One of his children suggested that perhaps he should release his testimony to a blog. The guys at Powerline agreed to give him a platform:

I do not personally know whether the IRS has targeted conservative groups or individuals, but I do know that the environment within the agency is ripe for such activity and there is nothing to prevent it from occurring. As stated in more detail below, I have personally witnessed improper giveaways of billions of dollars to taxpayers with inside access at the agency, bullying of elderly taxpayers, the cover-up of managerial embezzlement and misappropriation of thousands of dollars in government funds, and a retaliatory audit. I have also heard credible accounts of, among other things, further improper giveaways, blatant sexual harassment, and anti-Semitism. All of these matters have been swept under the rug.

Please read the entire article; this citizen is attempting to inform about a corrupt organization of government..

The lure of money in a bureaucratic leviathan where accountability is simply a matter of who you know must be extremely powerful. Those who succumb to temptation and agree to play the “game” are forever stuck and, as in organized crime, there’s no way out of this game. Everybody has the goods on everybody else and they band together to stop whistle blowers. Accepting the cushy benefits is the balm that soothes discomfort, if there is any. Corruption in government affects us all. A deep and thorough house cleaning will not be enough. It’s time to simplify the tax code and seriously discuss ways to simplify and downsize the federal government.

    Not at all surprised!
“The power to tax is the power to destroy” and it’s certainly being wielded heavily during the last 5 years . . . . . .

  4. Libby says:

One thing at a time, Tina. We’re still working (not very hard, thanks to our pinch-penny Congress) on trying to reassimilate all those “financial services” employees booted from their jobs in The Great Recession. When that’s done, we can start on all the extraneous accounts making life a merry hell in this land of the free.

  5. Libby says:

Ooops … that should have been extraneous accountants …

Libby: ” We’re still working (not very hard, thanks to our pinch-penny Congress) on trying to reassimilate all those “financial services” employees booted from their jobs in The Great Recession.”

    Bologna!

    Forbes

President Obama tells us in the Overview to his Fiscal Year 2014 Budget just released last week that his budget proposes, “more than $2 in spending cuts for every $1 of new revenue from closing tax loopholes and reducing tax benefits for the wealthiest.”

But President Obama’s budget does not propose any spending cuts at all on net, not even reductions from expected increases in spending. Instead, his budget proposes to add $160 billion in increased spending just next year to the projected growth in spending, even increasing spending for the current 2013 fiscal year by another $61 billion as well. Over the next 10 years, President Obama’s budget proposes to add nearly $1 trillion to the projected growth in spending, proposing to increase annual spending by 2023 by $2.1 trillion as compared to 2012.

President Obama’s budget even proposes to cancel the sequester cuts, because he can’t bear to cut even 1% of federal spending from the growth in spending. His budget proposes to spend $46.5 trillion overall over the next 10 years, even more than the Senate Democrat budget, the highest government spending in world history.

Indeed, President Obama’s talk of “spending cuts’ in his budget Overview is followed by pages of proposals for increased spending. That reflects Obama’s basic thinking that what drives economic recovery and growth is increased government spending. But Obama’s economic record is a thorough rebuttal to that thinking. Not one of those increased spending proposals in his 2014 budget would contribute to increased economic growth and prosperity on net.

Besides these runaway spending increases, Obama’s budget also proposes $1.1 trillion in additional tax increases, on top of the $1 trillion in tax increases already going into effect this year under Obamacare, and the $600 billion in tax increases on the nation’s job creators, investors, and successful small businesses from the expiration of the Bush tax cuts for them in January.

Those new proposed tax increases include a doubling of the federal tax on cigarettes, in direct violation of the President’s campaign pledge not to increase taxes on singles making less than $200,000, and couples making less than $250,000, “in any form.” It includes the so-called “Buffett Rule” doubling the top capital gains tax rate from when Obama entered office. That would impose on America the fourth highest capital gains tax rate in the world, to go with effectively the world’s highest marginal corporate income tax rate.

Those “we” you speak of are well on their way to creating Great Depression II

With his widdle pen and his widdle phone he’s determined to do even more damage to the economy and the livlihoods of Americans.

When leadership is shoddy so will the wiles of the likeminded worker bees at the IRS and other departments be.

You people are cruel; downright evil.

  7. Tina says:

Dewey: “I find that one can not complain about corruption when they support corruption!”

    Then why do you?

“why is the Tea Party fighting for 501(4)c status?”

To counter the voices in these IRS approved, George Soros sponsored 501c4’s.

The IRS delayed or denied 501c4 status to nearly 400 conservative groups engaging in nothing different than most, if not all, of the 501c4’s in this list.

Obama’s “Organizing for Action” is OBVIOIUSLY a political organization and yet was quickly granted 501c4 status…and in a corrupt manner!

I ask for an even hand. The IRS has used the same rules to grant non profit status to organizations, mostly left wing, for decades.

The left has worked this shadowy game for fifty years. Now that the gig is up Daily Kos says its time to stop exempting all of these organizations. But we all know the left will simply pack up their offices and start up again under another name and another new method to continue the dirty work for the Democrat Party and their socialist causes.

The only answer to all of this corruption is a much smaller federal government.

    “Hello” your own self!

  9. Mike says:

The Income Tax has very little to do with a fair way to raise money and is much more about penalizing enemies and rewarding cronies, contributors voting blocks.
It has become a huge political payoff source for lobbyists and politicians. What would you expect a system that has all the wrong incentives? A system that takes money from workers when they earn it and gives money to people when they don’t work.

We would be much better off if we eliminated the Income tax (and IRS) and replaced it with a consumption (sales) tax. Even better would be the Fair Tax which is a consumption tax on all new goods and services and has a “prebate” that rebates this tax on a family’s spending up to the poverty line.

  10. Tina says:

Mike you’ll find you have a lot of agreement here on that.

Imagine the jobs that would be created!
