Leave it to the sleazy down-home Democrats of the Midwest to steal more than $16 Million from various charities, including one for those suffering from AIDS. Also not so surprising, several of the scammers have ties to President Barack Obama, including one who happens to be related to President Obama’s friend and former pastor Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright.
The U.S. attorney’s office in Springfield has been busy the past few years investigating a variety of fraud schemes involving state grants. Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty.
Two of them have ties to President Barack Obama. One is the daughter of his controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another was chief of staff to Obama’s longtime friend Eric E. Whitaker when Whitaker was Illinois’ public health chief.
In all, prosecutors are alleging a total of $16 million in fraud involving state health or commerce department grants and contracts.
Why hasn’t this news about 13 prominent Democrats been circulating among the main stream media? Who knows? Maybe it’s another example of liberal corruption. Maybe they don’t think the story is “national news.” To me the most likely scenario is the media doesn’t want to sully the Democrat brand with these philandering monsters.

He took responsibility, looked into the matter and His former chief of staff and his former political adviser were immediately fired. CNN has Christie’s remarks about the scandal in his State of the State speech:
The latest information from the Huffington Post is that the case is “widening”.
An attorney, David Samson, was being targeted because his law firm and some of the firm’s clients may have financially benefited because of Samson’s position as Chairman of the Port Authority. The local papers were calling for Samson’s head. He is an ally of Chris Christie.
But the investigators must have found the charges unsupportable. The story has been updated. The subpoena for Samson’s records were withdrawn before the reports of his possible involvement went out in the papers.
The investigation continues. There’s a court hearing tomorrow in NJ “to decide whether Christie’s former chief of staff and his former top political adviser need to turn over documents to the state legislative panel investigating the scandal.
Democrats would love to fell this big tree but it doesn’t look like they have evidence of his involvement yet. Anythings possible.

The Citizens United case resulted in money being recognized as speech…you will have a hard time convincing anyone that money can be removed from politics.

Lets start with the biggest log jam in the Senate, which is Harry Reid.
Why is Harry Reid holding up soooo many bills passed in the house, over 185 at last count, some of which authored by his own party members. With elections coming up, it’s what benefits Reid and fellow progressive is to effectively if not artificially slow down GOP ideas that would show the voters GOP isn’t the problem, and the GOP does have good solutions for the present slump in our economy. However it would be political suicide for Reid’s party of control to pass these bills and prove the GOP leaders right.
Once more it is not what benefits America, it is “political football season” coming up and all the Liberals have as a game plan is, back up 5 yards and punt!
Harold you’re soooooooo right. Far too often we see politicians doing what’s in their best interest, not ours. Yet we (makes that democrats) keep electing them. Look at the dumb democrat voters in CA. The democrats destroyed the state budget, bloated the unfunded retirements liabilities and passed a slew of laws, none of which had anything to do with creating jobs, attracting business or lowering taxes…forget bills that might actually increase our freedom! No, these rats instead have done just the opposite. Highest taxes, lowest scores in gov education and business attracting, bloated state government, high unemployment, a historic jobs exodus, thousands of bills for special interests, no bills to help the general working voters and make their life easier! And idiot voters keep re-electing this scum….unbelieavable.
