Banana Republic Defined: Politically unstable and corrupt government, typically with a dictator ruling over stratified social classes, this includes a large, uneducated and impoverished class dependent on the ruling plutocracy. The government exploits the country’s economy and the working class.
It’s been said CA is a lot like a Banana Republic because politicians are so corrupt here. (See FBI arrests) The plethora of democrats arrested in corruption FBI stings is one thing, and granted it’s bad, but what about the host of high ranking democrats who piled-on accolades for the very same crooks prior to their demise? Stupidity isn’t necessarily criminal, but it sure is dangerous…and sometimes it can be kinda funny to see them go down screaming.
So, a lot of dem politicians are running for cover. They’re sure looking gullible for supporting William Yee. This would include folks like Sen. Dianne Feinstein and ex-SF Mayor and current Lt. Gov. Mayor Gavin Newsome. And it gets worse, both wrote praises about the Chinese gangster (Shrimp Boy Chow) who was closely associated with Sen. William Yee in their nefarious enterprises.
Democrats have a super majority in California, but with the recent indictments and arrests one wonders how CA voters could ever trust a democrat again. They bankrupted the state, mismanaged resources, and have been caught selling out the voters numerous times. What the heck will it take for voters to wise up? Well, if there is an upside to this scandalous conduct, its this: Its going to make it more slightly more difficult to for the crooks to be re-elected while behind bars. I have no doubt most democrats would re-elected them if they could, no matter what their criminal record may be. Our democrats are the dumbest in the whole country, a significant record that nobody who is on the up and up would to claim!
Jack, whatever are you blathering about? Leland and Shrimp Boy have been arrested.
In a Banana Republic, they would not have been arrested.
I really cannot fathom what you are crabbing about? Dem politicos are supposed to comport themselves as do their saintly Repug colleagues? Excuse me while I go laugh myself sick.
Blather? Sure, whatever…when it’s your democrats selling out the people any gripes from me is just blather?
Well, guess what? They were not arrested by the State police Libs…the FBI had to come to our Banana Republic aka CA and enforce the law that your legislators were breaking…and thankfully these are laws on the books made before Obama could have any influence on them, otherwise it would be status quo, same old corruption as always.
Question,”What the heck will it take for voters to wise up?”
How about they start by opening a blind eye and then cutting off their State Welfare checks they have exchanged for their voting history.
The proceeding was an unpaid political opinion 🙂
Jack, don’t forget Brown’s run for his 4th term as governor. Using the excuse that he served before the law went into effect.
Blame The Victim blathering.
A Rotten Banana Republic.
“They were not arrested by the State police Libs…”
Of course not. The State Police don’t do much more than stand around in court houses looking intimidating.
Racketeering, international arms smuggling, that’s the FBI’s jurisdiction.
Why do you insist on casting ignorant and baseless accusations around? They only damage your position.
Want to see where California’s welfare recipients are going on vacation with our taxes? The state can’t be broke if it can afford to pay for vacations, right?

A rotten banana republic with a lot of monkey business going on.
Peggy the link you provided was old…Arnold was the governor featured at the CA website…I wonder how much the figures he cited have increased?

Senator Joel Anderson Calls for Leland Yee Expulsion Not Suspension:
“The California Senate has suspended Leland Yee with pay. The vote Friday morning comes just two days after Yee was named in a federal felony indictment in connection with an alleged corruption scandal. The body voted by 28 to 1 suspend Yee and two other members from the Senate.”
