A report by John Fund in National Review quotes liberal journalists and suggests that “Slanders and lies may be part of a deliberate strategy to drive up turnout in November.”
We already know that lying as a means to push an agenda comes naturally to our president. His repeated lies that Americans could keep their insurance and doctors made certain that the signature legislation on healthcare pushed by Reid and Pelosi never received proper scrutiny. It’s no surprise now that, as a few journalists are suggesting, that deception will guide the Democrats as we move into the campaign season:
Even some leftists, such as Ruth Marcus of the Washington Post, have rebuked the excess of these attacks. Referring to Democrats’ use of the “equal pay” issue to buttress claims that Republicans are waging “a war on women,” Marcus wrote, “The level of hyperbole — actually of demagoguery — that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting.”
What is going on? Increasingly, journalists who cover the White House are concluding that the smears are part of a conscious strategy to distract voters from Obamacare, the sluggish economy, and foreign-policy reverses; the attacks are intended, the thinking goes, to drive up resentment and hence turnout among the Democratic base. …
…Deliberately misstating information about key issues in order to keep certain issues before the public is often a premeditated strategy. “The tactic represents one more step in the embrace of cynicism that has characterized President Obama’s journey in office,” John Dickerson wrote at Slate. “Facts, schmacts. As long as people are talking about an issue where my party has an advantage with voters, it’s good.” (emphasis mine)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Extreme radicals have taken over the Democrat Party. They believe in the old Marxist meme, the end justifies the means, and will stoop as low as they think they must to win and get what they want. According to one poll they can count on 31% of their base who believe Obama “never lies” That figure rises to 37% among African Americans.
The radical Democrats hope that lies and deception will be enough to bring the base to the polls in November…but will it be enough to put Democrats over the top in their runs for Congress in November?
That all depends on the rest of America…VOTE! Then vow to vote again in 2016 to rid ourselves of the radical left that doesn’t care about individual Americans having the opportunity for prosperity and doesn’t care about the poor being lifted from poverty but wants absolute power over all of us and aspect of our lives and will do anything to keep that power.
Let me be the first to say thank you to those journalists who were willing to tell it like it is and inform the public about the shenanigans and goings on from this administration and its mouthpieces.

We have recently discussed the Cliven Bundy BLM grazing rights and is he right or wrong to take such a stand against the government agency, beyond that point of discussion, I for one am questioning a Government that has so many agency’s that have their own private SWAT teams. In Alaska, the recent uproar over armed EPA agents descending on a tiny Alaska mining town is shedding light on the fact that 40 federal agencies (most likely closer to 70 or more based on other reads) including nearly a dozen typically not associated with law enforcement — have armed divisions.
Those agencies employ about 120,000 full-time officers authorized to carry guns and make arrests, according to a June 2012 Justice Department report.
WHY? If you will consider this for a moment, if in Benghazi we had that much fire power, A USA Ambassador and 3 other American patriots would be alive today.
So is it just the fact the media is now reporting that this current administration is lying on just about every facet of Obamas failed terms, or is it we the people are lying to ourselves about whom we elect , or more importantly, why we are electing them?
Given recent history, attacks, slander, libel and lies are the ONLY things the Dem Party is good for.
Especially since their platform of Bigger & Bigger Goofernment is sinking under accumulated debt, unprosecuted fraud, crony capitalism and unconstitutional changes to existing laws.
One things for sure, Obama promised fundamental transformation. I’d say he has had great success in fundamentally changing government, private ownership, civil rights, jobs, redistribution…look at what he has done for healthcare! My Lord, there’s no end to the transformation!
There’s a story out today about corruption in the census bureau…a couple of whistle blowers claim workers are diddling with statistics. It’s unclear whether politics is in the mix but reports of pressure from higher ups is. John Crudele has the story in the New York Post.
I hope more journalists and news outlets have the courage and fortitude to start doing their jobs and I hope their legal departments help to protect these whistle blowers.

The article is well worth the time to read and absorb. It sounds like policy guided the events, which would explain the (naive) position, apparently even by Stevens, that the extra security wasn’t thought necessary. The way this administration snuggled up to the Muslim Brotherhood has understandably not been well received by our allies. And apparently Gadaffi had been willing to leave peaceably but that option was not picked up…why? In fact why does the left think they can be friends with extremists elements? I think maybe it’s an ideological blind spot. Whtaever it is it sure leaves a lot of chaos, confusion and death in its wake.

Please explain why their conclusions on Benghazi should be given more weight than the Senate report.
But given that Godwinning a thread four comments in is considered to be the epitome of high-five worthy debating mad skillz here, I guess I can’t expect anyone here to understand why the credibility of this source is in dispute.

I just read the whole report with its long list of impressive retired military and extensive list of FOIA request covering everything prior to the attack to after.
Major problem with the feet dragging delay tactics of this administration we’ll all be dead before the requested information is made available.
I’d settle just to hear from the survivors. But, they’ve been gagged and hidden away to keep us from knowing the truth.
If Obama and Clinton have nothing to hide, let them speak. I’m sure they’ll tell the truth. Oh, that’s right they don’t want the truth to be told.
