NPR Says Obama Responsible for Drawing Out Syrian War

by Jack

A news story on NPR today held President Obama accountable for keeping Bashar Assad in power in a protracted Syrian civil war.  Estimates are that over 10,000 Syrian civilians have been killed since the US and Russia brokered a so-called cease fire so stockpiles of Syria’s poison gas could be destroyed.

As it turns out, this deal bought the Assad regime the time they needed, just when they were on the verge of collapse.  Now the UN inspectors report a large amount of chemical pre-cursors for making the deadly gas is missing, presumably hidden by Assad’s regime so they can reconstitute poison gas munitions, if necessary.  A major failure in the deal Obama wanted.

Prior to this US-Russian agreement with Syria, the Assad regime feared it would all be over if US fighters started taking out their military positions.   Now Assad’s regime is winning, but the toll on civilians has been horrific.

Powerful 50 gallon barrel bombs dropped from helicopters have leveled entire blocks of residential area, killing many innocent civilians.  Chlorine gas has also been used during this time against civilians, because chlorine gas was not on the list of poison gas munitions.   Russia has continued to resupply Assad with tanks, helicopters, rockets and small arms and his forces now dominate the battlefield.

I get a bit nervous when liberals start complaining about Obama…because you know things have definitely taken a turn for the worse.

Just another in the long list of Obumble Failures.
His only accomplishment in this one was to order more hand lotion since there was an outbreak of chapped hands in the white house due to all the hand-wringing . . . .
