Being Voted On Today in Senate – Healthcare for Undocumented Residents of California

Scope of Medi-Cal Coverage for Immigrants:  In order to be Medi-Cal eligible, an individual must be a state resident for 5 minutes and generally must be low-income or be able to not show income.  Recent undocumented immigrants (illegal aliens, including narco-terrorists, smugglers and other alien criminals)  who meet income and residency requirements are Medi-Cal eligible, but the scope of that coverage depends on the immigration status of the immigrant.  Under existing law, undocumented immigrants are not eligible  for full scope of all services, and are instead eligible for ”limited scope” Medi-Cal benefits that covers most healthcare needs.  Limited scope services are long-term care, pregnancy-related benefits, and all emergency services. Medi-Cal also provides coverage for undocumented individuals (illegal aliens) needing breast and cervical cancer treatment, family planning services through Family PACT, and through temporary presumptive eligibility programs.  We are hoping this will serve as a magnet for illegal aliens now in other states to come here to boost our democrat voting rolls.   We believe it will also encourage more illegal immigration and that will also boost our voter rolls.

This bill would also provide the same cost-sharing subsidies for lower-income people as in Covered California.   It is also a duplication of existing programs for free medical care for illegal immigrants, however this bill will expand the services offered.    This bill is endorsed by the Hispanic Caucus.

  1. J. Soden says:

The Taxocrats are more than willing to spend other people’s money without any responsibility.

How about requiring those in the Legislature who foist these wonderful, expensive programs on taxpayers to pay for them outta their OWN pocket? Betcha there would be a lot less of these boondoggles.

Time for another Ballot Initiative? ? ? ?
