A French group, “The French Will Never Forget,” celebrated the 70th anniversary of D-Day with a beautiful gesture of thanks for the sacrifices made by the allies against Nazi forces in the name of liberty. The ceremony involved the crew of the French military frigate, the Lafayette, and $100,000 worth of rose petals that were showered over the Statue of Liberty (see pictures).
