Another Black Male Shot in Ferguson, Mo.

Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, St. Louis County police responded to reports of shots being fired and four or five armed suspects, wearing ski masks, running near the intersection of Chambers Road and Sheffingdel Court in Ferguson, Valerie Schremp Hahn, a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reported.

Officers arrived on the scene, saw “multiple subjects running” and gave chase, police spokesman Officer Brian Schellman told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Upon approaching one of the suspects, the man allegedly pointed a handgun at the officer, police said. In response, the officer opened fire.

A gun was reportedly recovered at the scene.

The suspect, who was critically wounded, was taken to an area hospital. The officer was not injured.

Can you imagine the thought process behind the actions of these 4 or 5 individuals?  Here’s a predominantly African-American community that is the scene of recent rioting and looting over the shooting of black man who allegedly assaulted an officer and tried to grab his gun.  So these Einstein’s are sitting around their living room with too much time on their hands… until one of them comes up with an idea!  “Hey, I got it, lets put on ski masks, get our guns and shoot them in the residential neighborhood and see if the cops respond.  What could possibly go wrong?”   What indeed.

Great Post Jack…right on the money!

Peggy the guy in the video is exactly right. The only people with the power to transform the black mindset and experience, and that is what’s needed, is the black people themselves. They need a internal spiritual revival and awakening. Bless this man for speaking so passionately for the hearts, minds and soul of this community. (No white person could do it without being pilloried)

Let’s hope others join him. His understanding of change begins with him and not others I thought most significant. It’s like the light bulb has gone on shining light on the lies they’ve fallen for from the democrats. There lives haven’t improved over the decades because they’ve let others control their destiny.

The other day I saw a news report on a black republican running for a state legislator. When I went to find the report I instead found this Fredrick Douglas link with a long list of 2014 candidates. Check it out, I guarantee it will bring a smile to your face.

We’ve been thinking the military gear given to local police was a result of Homeland Security but a bill passed by Congress in 1990, the National Defense Authorization Act has section 1208 in it. It was passed to help law enforcement deal with violence in the drug trade…remember how the big news was that the drug dealers had bigger weapons than the cops?

According to the Washington Post the Pentagon gave local law enforcement “nearly a half billion dollars worth of free military equipment last year and in excess of $4.3 billion since 1997.

The program provides things like office equipment, tents, generators, pick-up trucks and ATVs, according to a PowerPoint presentation on its website. But law enforcement agencies can also use it to obtain military aircraft, weapons (including grenade launchers), and heavily armored tactical vehicles.

This story calls it the 1033 program and marks the date 3 years earlier in 1997.
