Research Tool to Assist Voters

Posted by Tina

Vote Smart is seen as a positive new tool for voters looking for help to discover facts about those running for office. A video that explains how it works can be watched at the link.

I had two initial reactions. The first was that it could be a useful one-stop tool. The second, much more cynical view, in thirty years it will become part of the “Brave New World” order where political history is manufactured and rewritten daily.

The best way to handle cynicism is to take a risk and give it a try. We can all do that here.

“Somewhere, politicians decided it was more efficient to move us emotionally rather than persuade us intellectually,”

That is the second time I have witnessed this type of comment from the left this week, the first was on a recent Lou Dobbs show when Juan Williams (leftist water carrier) was trying to spin the economic hole Obamas policies (or lack of) into a positive, Dobbs let him speak and then countered all comments with current numbers and information that proved Williams to be less than truthful,(surprise) and Obama policies being anything but effective!

Williams comment was, coupled with his Cheshire cat grin: ‘You have to understand I am in the business of politics, I deal with emotions and feelings, I am not that educated on facts’

Sort of reinforces the opening statement of another Democrat who was running for office in the Senate during the time he made his remark.

    Another Democrat caught lying.
Kentucky Senate Candidate’s Tough Talk on Obama’s Destructive Energy Policy is a Lie. Here’s Proof.:

Watch this Air Force video and see if you notice what/who is missing. Think they were sending a silent message? I do.

Interesting take Harold. I purposely didn’t comment on who created this site because I wanted to see what all of you thought first. It looks like it could be a good place to go for information since the people involved are all vowing to give us just the facts with no partisan spin. We can apparently research any issue and any candidates record on that issue as well as overall.

McCain is one of the creators and it’s located in Montana, Max Bacchus land which gave me pause. But we’ll see. I have the page bookmarked.

The site is fairly new and absent key information but even our local councilmen’s names were there. I hope it gets better as time goes on it’s a good idea.

Peggy the Air Force video is really good. Pretty amazing the the current CinC isn’t featured in it…not very surprising though.

Alison Lundergan Grimes’ is doing what politicians do but this issue is so near and dear to Kentucky voters how can she be so stupid as to think they won’t catch her in the lie?

Tina, the saying, “You don’t know what you don’t know,” comes to mind if voters aren’t told about her lying.

Hopefully, enough GOP funds will come in to spread the truth and with the help of the internet it reaches enough voters to make a difference. Of course we know the truth won’t be told by the left-leaning msm.
