Fast and Furious Part Deux?

Walking guns across our southern border and into the hands of a drug cartel was a plan that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people in Mexico, including Mexican officials, and American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Evidence has shown that Eric Holder was aware of the plan and lied to Congress about it. The House of Representatives voted in June of 2012 finding Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for repeatedly refusing to produce documents about the scandal. Fast forward to 2014 and another Justice Department scandal involving grenade parts, marked by ATF, and a shady character named Jean Baptiste Kingery.

Kingery was first suspected of transporting grenade parts in 2009. ATF was able to intercept grenade parts shipments to Kingery to mark the parts for tracking. Bit the Office of Inspectors General found upon investigation that ATF was unable to track the parts and they later showed up at crime scenes in Mexico. Deja Vu? You bet! Although Kingery was stopped at the border, he managed to continue on his way:

The OIG also said Kingery was stopped by border officials in 2010 when he tried to cross into Mexico. But while grenade components were found in Kingery’s car, an assistant U.S. Attorney decided against arresting him, and Kingery was allowed to leave if he voluntarily returned the next day for more interviews.

Kingery returned the next day, and was again allowed to leave without being charged with a crime, “with the understanding that he would be cooperating with law enforcement.” But instead of cooperating, Kingery fled.

“[A]pproximately one week later, after ATF agents lost contact with Kingery, he was stopped trying to re-enter the United States,” OIG said. The same assistant U.S. Attorney again allowed Kingery to leave, and Kingery returned to Mexico without facing any charges.

Mexican officials eventually arrested Kingery who should have been detained, arrested and charged with violating the Arms Export Control Act. OIG: “We also determined that, as in Operation Fast and Furious, this failure to act reflected inadequate consideration by the agents and prosecutors of the risk to public safety in the United States and Mexico created by Kingery’s illegal activities.” Darrell Issa and Chuck Grassley of the House Oversight Committee concluded that the OIG report revealed, “…systemic failures at the Department of Justice that put lives at risk in both the U.S. and Mexico” and made clear “that an assistant U.S. attorney refused to prosecute a known arms trafficker for ‘unpersuasive’ reasons.”

Read about the released “Vaughn Index” that lists more than 15,000 pages of documents related to Fast & Furious here:

The Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) scheme claimed the life of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in 2010 and weapons from the operation have turned up on hundreds of Mexican murder scenes. A judge denied the Department of Justice’s latest request to release the index after the November elections and suggested that Attorney General Eric Holder’s department did not take the “court order seriously.” Two days after the ruling the Attorney General announced he was resigning.

Key findings in the index suggest the Attorney General was directly involved in crafting the flawed talking points and found that he may have used his wife’s and mother’s email accounts to conduct official business on more that 20 occasions, leading to speculation that the Attorney General may have been circumventing public scrutiny or violated the Federal Records Act.

Corruption and failure permeate under Holders leadership at Justice. The President has consistently stood by in support of Holder. The sooner we’re rid of this bunch the better.

What a legacy this administration will have.

    A president who lies.

A top law enforcement officer who breaks laws and enforces laws based on skin color.

A Sec. of State who lied to the families of four men killed in Benghazi.

The list of lies and broken laws could go on for pages. The top leader sets the tone of all of those under him/her, which summarizes just how bad and corrupt the Obama administration is.

Bet Holder figured no one would notice and see if he was behind those thousands of guns allowed into Mexico and the death of two of our border agents and thousands in Mexico!!

Election Eve “Fast & Furious” Document Dump by Justice Dept.:

“It could be the ultimate Washington “document dump.”

Instead of turning over a heap of potentially damaging documents to Congress on the usual Friday afternoon as government agencies tend to do in the hope of attracting as little media attention as possible, the Justice Department turned over a massive set of documents on election eve.

The 64,280 pages of documents had previously been withheld under President Obama’s one and only claim of executive privilege of his presidency. The privilege was invoked after Attorney General Eric Holder refused to turn the documents over under Congressional subpoena and was held in contempt of Congress in June 2012.

Republicans in the House of Representative subsequently sued to obtain the materials, as did the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch. Last night’s handover was in response to an order from a federal judge in the case. The House Oversight Committee, which issued the original subpoena, said that the newly-disclosed material covers about two-thirds of the documents withheld. A significant set of documents remains protected under executive privilege.”

Not surprising they dumped today since the judge told them they had to do it before the election!
