Isn’t it ironic that in the same month that Obama announces his amnesty program and Joe Biden invites another round of kids to our shores from Central America, Mexico announces a plan to charge foreigners as they cross the border into Mexico:
If you are a United States citizen and cross the border frequently you may have to pay a fee to go into Mexico.
The National Immigration Institute in Mexico (INAMI) has started a pilot program in which foreigners that enter Mexican territory for more than seven days or they will be involved in paid work, they will have to pay 306 pesos, or about 28 US dollars.
State governors along the border might want to take note. A similar fee in our country might help to defray the cost of border patrol and discourage illegal entry…well, it would if our border was more secure!
This is a really good why didn’t we think of it a long time ago?
A number of years ago, France tried this for a cost of $9 but exempted any EU member country’s citizens from the fee. Result was that US & Canadian tourists took their travel $$ elsewhere.
It only took one summer of missing tourist $$ for France to rescind the fee.
Was a travel agent for 21+ years, and stopped recommending Mexico to clients years ago when Mexico couldn’t/wouldn’t protect tourists. And it’s even worse now.

Great post Peggy. Many things in the Bible are used erroneously because they are not understood in context.
If our readers scroll to the bottom of the page they can also view the SNL parody of Obama taking executive action and kicking a congressional bill down the capitol steps…so on the mark!
