Poll: Voters say race relations worse under Obama

Dec. 29, 2014 – 2:56 – The latest Fox News poll finds that 62% of registered voters think race relations have gotten worse since Barack Obama became president.

Prior polling from other sources in previous months showed similar results. End

I sought this information because I had a feeling that racial tensions were running pretty high, but 62% surprised me. I think we would have to go back a number of decades to see that number repeated. What a shame, we were doing fairly well too.

This next part is just anecdotal, but the people I’ve spoken with recently generally say the bias or prejudice, whatever you want to call it, seems to be coming almost exclusively from Blacks. I’m not sure how true this is, but even if its only partly true, it can’t be good.

I sincerely wish we had some leadership in this country that would be willing to take this on and get us back on track! Because you know that old saying, “A house divided…” I think many people thought Obama would be the perfect guy to do some uniting and get beyond old grievances, but he seems unwilling or unable.

And I doubt it’ll improve until the black community gives their professional race hustlers the boot. Even the elected ones . . . . .

Both Jack and J.Soden have it right. And it grieves me so.

Here is a very comprehensive poll by Gallup that includes a comparison between today and 2008 of the four major race groups before Obama was elected.

There are some very surprising stats including the percentage of blacks who feel they were treated unfairly by police during a traffic stop. Treated unfairly 17% – Treated fairly 81%.

I say surprising based on the media coverage of how blacks are reported to reflect how they are treated by police.
