Foreign Policy Failures Leave America Lacking Improved Position

Posted by Tina

It’s one thing to notice individual failures as they unfold but to see them stood up like defeated soldiers all in a row is just too sad for this patriotic American.

Breitbart:

I personally cannot think of a single foreign policy win, where a win is defined as a better U.S. position, for the entire administration team.

Failure in Iran 2009 (Green Movement), failure in Egypt 2010 (Muslim Brotherhood) – failure in Africa 2010 (LRA Joseph Koney), failure in 2011 (Libya), Failure in 2012 (Syria) – failure in 2012 (Iraq status of forces), Failure in 2013 (Ukraine/Crimea) Failure in 2013/14/15 (Iran Nukes), Failure in 2014 (ISIS), etc.

Africa, Mid-East, Asia, Australia, China, Burma, Canada,… The list just goes on, and on… and on; failed policy effort after failed policy effort. It doesn’t matter if you are discussing “Trade” or “Terrorism” – there’s no better U.S. position.

Amateurs (“kids”) are running the nations top offices. Agree, or, disagree?

I was trying to remember a foreign policy win too and I really can’t think of any. Isn’t that sad?

Putin outmanuevered President Obama, twice! The help we sent to save the little girls from Boku Haram was a flop. The France (Charile Hebdo) rally incident was an embarassment. Iraq and Egypt were both fails. Lybia was a failure. Syria was a fail. Allowing ISIS to form in the Iraq power vaccum was an awful fail that made the world less safe.

I can’t think of any more off hand, but I’m sure the re are more and that they were all fails.

Let’s add to the list! I think the Cuba deal is a possible State Department/Presidential fail.

Good news is that Cuba actually released 53 prisoners as agreed.

The bad news is the economy remains government owned/controlled. The Cuban government will benefit most from money generated by any trade or tourist sales. The Cuban people are still living like serfs under the thumb of a dictator and the elites of the state. Some think opening the country will work to improve conditions in the long run. I hope so. Marx seems to be winning everywhere, even, America so that hope is not much to excite the senses!
