“Hands Up – Don’t Shoot”

Eric Holder Admits ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ Claim Was Bogusmembersofcongress

The “Hands up, don’t shoot” slogan was repeated hundreds of times by the major news medias and democrat members of Congress of course used it.   They staged many demonstrations and even walked off the job in protest where they held a press conference with their hands raised in the air.

Black players on the Rams football team used this lie to protest as they entered the playing field.   Across America in every major city activists used this slogan as a rallying cry… way too many people were too quick to jump onboard, even as cooler heads warned they should wait for the truth to come out.

On Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder was forced to admit it wasn’t true at all, the “hands up – don’t shoot” claim was totally bogus, it never happened.

congress2345Let me say that again, Attorney General Eric Holder admitted Wednesday this was a false narrative.

The Justice Department’s investigation of the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Mo. made it perfectly clear, Brown was never shot in the back, he never had his hands up and he actually tried to grab the officers gun.  He attacked the officer and he was eventually shot as he charged the officer for the last time.

Everyone who repeated the alternate story behind ”Hands up, don’t shoot” was guilty of rushing to judgment, lying or falling for a lie.

Why would so many people in the media, in Congress and across America be so quick to render judgment over something so important?  There’s no easy answer here, but the most plausible one is because they wanted to believe it, it fit their prejudice and that’s all they cared about.huds-450x235

Every member of the Black Congressional Congress was made to look the part of a fool for rallying behind the lie.   Some of the Representatives, like Sheila Jackson Lee, took to the floor of Congress and repeated the outrageous lie to the American people.   It’s now in the Congressional record forever. What a shameful display of ignorance and race driven stupidity. (See right- a community protests at a basketball game)

rams-ferguson-protestEvery Democrat in Washington who joined in this false narrative was played for a fool.   So were all the members of the media that got behind it.    The list of people who used poor judgment and fell victim to their own racial bias is almost endless.    It shows how racially divided this nation has become.

It is a shame, it’s a blight on democracy that such incompetent people can remain in high office.   Their rash actions during this racially charged incident showed poor leadership and perhaps even worse, it showed where their true loyalties lie.  They don’t represent the people.  They represent a militant fringe bent on inflaming race-hate.  Truth is always the first casualty when bigotry takes the stage.

The irresponsible and rash actions taken by some of our elected leaders in Washington helped galvanize a nationwide protest movement that would eventually lead to lootings, arson and death.    This is something we should not forgive or forget.  They need to be identified and voted out of office.  These foolish people should be reminded of the harm they caused and they should be held accountable, but don’t count on the mainstream media to do their duty.  They would rather just move on as if nothing happened; as if they bear no responsibility for the businesses that were burned to the ground in Ferguson or for the random acts of revenge by Blacks incited to violence.   If the truth about “hands up don’t shoot” ever gets out on network news it will be but a blip on your TV screen, blink and you’ll miss it.huds55

NBC reported, “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” 61 times.  If they had any sense of fairness they would dedicate a primetime news segment to telling everyone this was a false narrative.  Other networks reported it almost as often, but don’t hold your breath waiting for an apology from them either.

The members of the Black Caucus apparently remain just as defiant as ever, because they have made  no retractions and shown no remorse for their complicity in one of this nations worst racial incident in decades.  And at the top of this racial divide is President Barrack Obama,.  He has set the example and in so doing he has demonstrated his own low bigotry.  This nation will be so much better off when he is gone.

I dont know anyone that thought the cop was guilty before all the facts were out. i know people who thought it, just not my friends. i wouldnt do that, but i am not black. i can see how they might have problems with the police. not saying they are right, just saying i can see how they might have some hate for police.

So the new mantra should become, because of their “prejudice”

‘Heads up your rear, and don’t think’

I have always thought that if race could not be injected into the Fergusson situation, it would have been just another justified shooting where a PO had to protect their life from a bad guy.

What was still happening though is the media was
still promoting older pleasant pictures of Brown and Martin as clean-cut youthful family members, and not the current pictures available showing their participation in the realm of criminal activity.

Harold a good point, if the dead guy had been white and the shooter was black, not a thing would have been said. Because any time, any where and for any reason, if a white cop shoots a black person its automatically an incident for the media.

Interesting but there is no reliable source on the net, have to read the report. I have it.

That being said The dept has a problem with racism.
Wilson did not fill out a proper report that night as well.

Much of the evidence was tainted and the police force was leaking info to the press to mess with the case,

They are however willing to dismantle the whole police force for their racist ways.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday the Justice Department would use its full authority to demand police reforms in Ferguson, Missouri, including possibly going so far as dismantling the department accused of racial bias.

“We are prepared to use all the power that we have … to ensure that the situation changes there.”

The latest on the case is the civil suit .

The St. Louis County grand juror, who is remaining anonymous, alleges that prosecutor Robert McCulloch’s “public characterization” of the grand jury does not reflect the juror’s own views.

The second-highest ranking commander in the beleaguered police department of Ferguson, Missouri, was one of two veteran officers to resign on Friday over racist emails uncovered by federal investigators.

Ferguson clerk fired over racist emails also accused of fixing traffic tickets

Wilson came from a disbanded police force. Disbanded for racism.

It use to be easy to find the police comments and their “code” but the net has been scrubbed since the DOJ investigation.

Look there are good cops and there are bad cops. Some cities have a major problem.

Here is a video of a STL cop punching a kid in handcuffs. There are many many videos out there. We have a problem in some of our police forces. here in Chico we do not see it.

Georgia, it’s not a perfect world is it? We agree on that if nothing else. There are good people and bad people and sometimes the roles reverse for no one is without sin.

The left likes to talk about situational ethics. But, that sword cuts both ways. Let me give you a sample of what I mean. Imagine for a moment that you’re a cop, you’re bringing in a suspected rapist. The guy is mouthy and threatening. He says knows where you live and he’s going to rape your daughter some day if it’s the last thing he does. You explode with anger and you punch him once, then quickly regain your composure. He smiles and cusses you over his bloody lips. You’ve been under stress for years dealing with all manner of evil that few of us could even imagine. Tonight’s shift was especially bad, on the call before this one you recovered the body of baby girl from a garbage can. Her parents were addicts, totally drugged out and they just threw away their dead baby…a baby they killed with malnutrition. You’re a good officer and you’ve been on the job for 15 years, you are even a soccer coach on the weekends. You have saved lived, you have reacted with great courage to more situations than you can count, and suddenly in a verbal provocation you made a mistake. You just punched this scumbag on video and now he owns you! He files a civil rights case against you and the FBI moves in to investigate. You are in big trouble.

When this case goes to court the defense can’t introduce your character, the defense can’t introduce the lives you saved. All the system is interested in is, did you really punch a handcuffed person for no good reason? The defense can’t even introduce the character of the handcuffed arrestee to show his prior arrests. And you are of course found guilty. You lose your job, you are sued and you are going to jail… you broke the law, has justice really been done?

  4. Georgia says:

I understand your point however disagree. Holding a public job should be no different than any other.

While I feel for the officer he is on the clock, and a public paid servant. Being a female I have ran into some very bad situations where I had to keep my cool. I call it zipping up in my positive shell and rising above.

If a Person was having a bad day at work and another person walked up to them and said the same thing he would be fired for loosing it.

So even though it is not fair, he signed up for the job, and has to follow the law himself. When we allow a policeman to determine his own justice we have a rash of problems. As you know anger management I am sure.

Georgia, your answer came way too easy and thought it might. I wish I could impart a few years of seeing life through my old cop eyes, but I can’t. It’s frustrating too, because I know you are missing some compassion and empathy for our human condition that only by experience could you possibly understand.
