Jack Nailed It – Somethings Fishy About That Clock Story

Frank Gaffney over at Breitbart – Big Government says we’ve been “bamboozled” after doing some research into the Irving, Texas clock story. Outrage was supposed to accompany the story about a smart Muslim boy being treated unjustly by school officials and the police. As if to punctuate the situation president Obama pulled off his usual and invited the boy to the White House. It seems, however, that the incident may have been a set up:

The facts, however, suggest this may have been a provocation. For starters, building and bringing to school what sure looked like a trigger for an improvised briefcase bomb would predictably raise an alarm.

It appears, the “clock” Mohamed brought to school this week was not the first of his circuit boards to look ominously like an improvised explosive device trigger. In fact, a photograph of one circulated by the Dallas Morning News was virtually indistinguishable from a circuit board used in a commercially available device used to train law enforcement and military personnel regarding how to identify IEDs.

Gaffney reports the device looks like it may have been reverse engineered. This along with a few other facts make this all seem very suspicious. Ahmed was questioned about why he had brought the devise to school and whether he had brought anything else to school, “perhaps to include the other part of such a bomb: the explosive component.” Since the boy refused to tell school authorities and police anything he was taken into custody according to school protocols.

The photo we’ve all seen on the internet of Ahmed in handcuffs was staged by his father:

The photograph of him in handcuffs that has gone viral, however, was not taken as he was escorted from the high school. Rather, it was staged after his father insisted at the police station that the cuffs remain on so his sister could take the picture.

In very short order, the family was under management by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization established – ironically, in a federal prosecution conducted in nearby Richardson, Texas – to be a Muslim Brotherhood-associated fundraising and political warfare arm for the designated terrorist group, Hamas. Ahmed lawyered up and he and his family were no-shows for scheduled meetings with school officials and with the police chief and Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne.

The family held a press conference to announce their “beef wasn’t with the Irving school district or the police” but with the city’s “political leadership” and “Mayor Van Duyne” whose been accused, along with city officials of “inflammatory anti-Muslim rhetoric and creating a climate of fear.” Apparently last Spring she came out in opposition to the establishment of an Islamic tribunal in Irving. She expressed concerns that a separate legal system “would serve as its counterparts have elsewhere, notably in Britain – namely, as a vehicle for dispensing “justice” as defined, not by the laws of the land, but in accordance with the Islamic supremacist code called shariah.”

So the local government and Mayor of Irving have been targeted for some time. The case of the student and his “clock” seems to have been a ploy and the school used in the process. This incident has generated such extreme threats to the Mayor on her Twitter and Facebook accounts that she’s been placed under police protection.

Must we be reminded that the Tsarnaev brothers were young men when they blew several people to bits in the Boston Marathon attack? The school and that city are doing the right thing!

And as with Obumble’s Iran “deal.” the white house was suckered again!

Thanks J. S. another good reason not to visit Mexico. I know will be safe because I am boycotting Mexico until they stop the cartels and murders. So, I probably will not be visiting Mexico again in this life.

I have to admit I thought it was suspicious that the boy was taken into custody and that a photo of him in cuffs should appear on the media circuit. I figured something must have prompted this unusual action. I also thought it was suspicious that the family had retained an attorney so quickly.

The device itself was suspicious and I have seen others like it that were IED’s, but then again this is just my cynical cop side, if I were a typical liberal I would probably have seen nothing and done nothing. If I were President Obama, I would not have let the facts become known before invited the kid and his parents to the White House for a photo op, you know, just like Bowe Bergdahl’s parents were. Hugs to follow, no doubt.

You know, I just looked at about 30 photos of real IEDs and not one looked anything like the clock that kid made. If they are training the police to look for blinking red leds, the training isn’t very good.

Jim you either didn’t click on and read the link provided in the article, “reverse engineered,” or you didn’t stick with it long enough. Once you get passed the lengthy background and credentials of the blogger you get to the substance of his post. Here’s the link again, this time with the name of the blog: artvoice.com.

Today, even a budding beginner is going to get some computer aided assistance – in fact they’ll probably start there, learning by simulating designs before building them. You can even simulate or lay out a board with free apps on your phone or tablet. A modern hobbyist usually wouldn’t be bothered with the outdated design techniques. There’s also silk screening on the board. An “M” logo, “C-94” (probably, a part number – C might even stand for “clock”), and what looks like an American flag. More about that in a minute. Point for now being, a hobbyist wouldn’t silk screen logos and part numbers on their home made creation. It’s pretty safe to say already we’re looking at ’70s tech, mass produced in a factory.

So I turned to eBay, searching for vintage alarm clocks. It only took a minute to locate Ahmed’s clock. See this eBay listing, up at the time of this writing. Amhed’s clock was invented, and built, by Micronta, a Radio Shack subsidary. Catalog number 63 756. …

…So there you have it folks, Ahmed Mohamad did not invent, nor build a clock. He took apart an existing clock, and transplanted the guts into a pencil box, and claimed it was his own creation. It all seems really fishy to me.

I didn’t post the full explanation this blogger gave for saying the clock wasn’t Ahmed’s invention so you might want to read the whole article.

Absolutely the school and first responders did the right thing! They followed universal precautions when it comes to the safety of our children. First, they determined a real threat. Second, they evacuated the school. Third, they notified first responders. Finally, bomb squad took over and determined that it was indeed a clock. It’s that simple! Now everybody back to class.
