Have we ever experienced another period in America when our citizens have felt the need to arm themselves? I don’t think so but then I don’t think there’s been another time that our government has tried so hard to overturn the Second Amendment one law at a time either. So the news that we’ve had six months of record gun sales:
The FBI’s National Instant Background Check System processed 1,976,759 firearms related checks in October. That is a 373,290 increase in checks over last year and a new record for the month. It also makes October the sixth consecutive month to see a record number of checks.
Government overreach may be the main reason for this happening but I think other considerations are also driving higher sales. What about you…why do you think gun sales are up?
A more sensible approach to reducing violent crime where a illegal gun is used is to enforce the current Gun laws as it pertains to criminals, not force a exposed public to arm and defend themselves against crime caused by people who should be locked up.
When the DOJ starts to enforce those existing gun laws, and actually sentencing criminals with guns, then you might see a stabilization in gun sales.
People are concerned, and they realize even if they could depend on a 5 minute response time by the over worked police departments that would be 4 minutes and 30 seconds to late when facing a armed criminal.
Once more, the primary purpose of Government is to protect the public, and Obama has failed miserably (if not caused some of the problems) and it looks and sounds like Hillary will just be more of the same.
Harold the time in big cities can run to the hours, not minutes. I wouldn’t want to live in a big city without personal protection.
The ONE thing Obumble has succeeded in doing for the country is arming more of our citizens.
And after the UC Merced stabbing, I expect he’ll call for registration of all knives.
Next will be screw drivers and ball point pens. We are surrounded by lethal weapons…and looney gun control nuts.
That kid in Merced…he was just mad at somebody…that’s why four people were wounded.
Dang, no wonder it has been so hard to find a Smith & Wesson 627 Pro 4″ (178014). Just discovered there may be some in Marysville.
