Broken: Obama’s Dumb Deal with Iran

Posted by Tina

We knew the Iran deal was a stupid move from the very beginning. The appeasers assured us this was the best way to get our enemies to be nicer. Fools! Take a gander: “Iran fires 2 missiles marked with ‘Israel must be wiped out’

The duplicitous nature of Iranian messaging exposes the fact that this nation cannot be trusted to keep it’s word. The firing of missiles despite UN resolutions against them shows they are not to be trusted.

An Iranian general:

“The reason we have designed these missiles with such a range — 2,000 kilometres — is to be able to hit our remote enemies, the Zionist regime,” said General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who heads the Revolutionary Guards’ aerospace wing, referring to Israel.

“But there is no need to fire missiles to destroy the Zionist regime as it will gradually collapse. Our main enemy is the US,” he said.

Climbing in bed with a sworn enemy? Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!

    From the linked article:

“The tests, however, don’t violate the accord. The landmark deal, which led to Iran dramatically scaling back its nuclear program, does not include provisions against missile launches.”

So it would appear the deal has not been “broken.”

Tina: “The appeasers assured us this was the best way to get our enemies to be nicer.”

Who are you talking about? Name one supporter of the deal who said that the purpose was to get Iran to be “nicer,” or stop resorting to silly strawman arguments.

“Climbing in bed with a sworn enemy?”

We didn’t “climb into bed” with Iran. We negotiated with them. Negotiating with enemies is what presidents have always done. Reagan did it. Nixon did it. It’s what adults do. Your anti-negotiation stance is not an adult policy. It’s not even a real policy, it’s a talking point designed for people who don’t think.

    • Tina says:

I suppose since you’re so very “adult” you may have forgotten…the Iranians are the #1 supporters of terrorism; we (supposedly) don’t “negotiate with terrorists.

So Yes, we did “get in bed” with this terrorist nation which openly states, “Our main enemy is the US.”

This is a nation that has been actively engaging in the support of violent sadistic murderous acts. This is a nation that shouts, “Death to America.” This is a nation that is responsible for the deaths of many Americans since 1979. This is not your average “enemy.”

Also, when “adults” negotiated with countries like the USSR and China they got something out of it. Obama gave Iran what they wanted and got nothing in return but vague (empty) promises.

During negotiations Obama’s explanation that “all options” were “on the table,” was openly mocked by the Iranian military:

“Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s pride and might has made the world’s biggest materialistic and military powers kneel down before the Islamic Republic’s might,” Jafari said.

“The military option that the westerners speak of constantly is ridiculous and they know that if the military option could have produced any result, they would have already used it many times, and today they have shifted their focus to other types of threats,” he added.

The Washington Post indicates how much Obama “caved” in the deal:

THE “KEY parameters” for an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program released Thursday fall well short of the goals originally set by the Obama administration. None of Iran’s nuclear facilities — including the Fordow center buried under a mountain — will be closed. Not one of the country’s 19,000 centrifuges will be dismantled. Tehran’s existing stockpile of enriched uranium will be “reduced” but not necessarily shipped out of the country. In effect, Iran’s nuclear infrastructure will remain intact, though some of it will be mothballed for 10 years. When the accord lapses, the Islamic republic will instantly become a threshold nuclear state.

That’s a long way from the standard set by President Obama in 2012 when he declared that “the deal we’ll accept” with Iran “is that they end their nuclear program” and “abide by the U.N. resolutions that have been in place.” Those resolutions call for Iran to suspend the enrichment of uranium. Instead, under the agreement announced Thursday, enrichment will continue with 5,000 centrifuges for a decade, and all restraints on it will end in 15 years.

And let’s not forget the lifted sanctions which will allow Iran to wage war in an already volatile situation more aggressively. Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!

If all of that doesn’t indicate the utter stupidity of negotiating with terrorist enablers maybe historical reminders will. This came out tonight; Obama had to know this:

Osama bin Laden relied on Iran as a conduit to replenish his terrorist army with money and fighters as he worked to keep al Qaeda in the killing business during his decade in hiding.

Details on the Iran-bin Laden strategic link come from the terrorist leader himself, who handwrote a steady stream of letters from various hideouts, including the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, where Navy SEALs killed him in May 2011. The SEALs seized reams of documents, and the government released a second declassified batch this month. …

…The bin Laden letters show the relationship ran deeper. While not an operational alliance, it was a logistical one. It underscores the reality that both Sunni Muslim al Qaeda and the Shiite Iranian regime shared one overriding emotion: an intense hatred of the United States.

Iran itself, and through surrogates such as Hezbollah, has been responsible for the killings of hundreds of Americans. It trained Iraqi Shiites in how to bomb and shell U.S. military personnel in Iraq. In that vein, Iran was an ally of al Qaeda in Iraq, which was targeting the same personnel. (continues)

      Ignoramus!

    Counter-point: Saudi Arabia.

Also, you’re wrong that Obama got nothing out of the deal but “promises,” but simply Googling the Iran deal would tell you that. I’ll come back to this issue when you are more informed.
