“Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.” — Thomas Jefferson
Militant activists and their subservient, venal troopers, continue in their determination to prevent citizens from peacefully assembling to hear Donald Trump speak. They went so far as to shut down a highway recently, blocking access to a rally site. The protesters parked trucks across a highway near Phoenix. One chained her neck to her truck making the removal of it by police officers more difficult, but trucks were removed and, as Jack pointed out, will cost a pretty penny to retrieve. The Gateway Pundit has the story originally broadcast by the local Fox station.
This uncivil behavior by civil dissidents means many Trump supporters, American citizens, were denied their rights as citizens to engage in the political process.
The media doesn’t seem to find this little breach of basic rights troubling.
In fact the media has helped to give protesters official justification for their brutish, lawlessness: Trump made you do it. As if out to prove the fact, in Salt Lake City yesterday Trump was hung in effigy and the effigy beheaded. And you, average citizen, are expected to believe these protesters were driven to outrageous behavior by Trumps words. Words!
Has Trump also been sending out marching order missives telepathically to incite violence? It just may be possible. Someone in Massachusetts was apparently so overcome by the incendiary power of Trump that he committed a felony threat against the Trump family. The poor victimized protest person was obviously helpless, under an evil spell, as he penned a scathing letter warning that unless Trump dropped out his children would be harmed. Can there be any doubt this guy watched in horror as his hand placed a white powdery substance into the envelope containing the letter he would then seal, stamp, and mail to Trump’s son Eric?
When they find that guy he may need years, yeeears of therapy.
Some protesters have sadly been confused as well as deluded or enraged by Trump’s words. They mistakenly disrupted a couple of Bernie Sanders rallies. The horror! (Hopefully they’ve been placed on suicide watch)
These Militant Agitators are a riot!
No, really!! Consider. Citizens have been physically confronted and threatened by organized leftist mobs over and over again in the last few years. Businesses have been looted and burned out, police officers have been shot, mobs have attacked and terrorized people in the “knock out” and “flash mob” games, cities have been beset by thousands of unruly filthy squatters, and citizens have been denied their speech and assembly rights. But none of this reached a level of outrage or disdain in our left praising, predictable, typical media type. The events are reported as curiosities, complete with the furrowed brows and tut tuts, “Oh my word!”…until they are finally justified, “Trump made them do it.” People with money just have no right to run for president, unless they run on the Democrat ticket. People who vote Republican have no legitimacy right to participate in America.
“FLASHBACK: Liberals Said There Would Be Riots IF OBAMA WASN’T ELECTED IN 2008”
Whaaat? (Impossible…never happened…it’s a rumor…okay they said it, but, riots would have been justified, Bush made them do it!)
There’s an explanation for all of this inanity. Lefties believe they are special people with special rights to operate outside of the political process, the law, and rules of common decency. Lefties believe they are entitled to do whatever they please, without consequence. Lefties believe that if they make a specious accusation it’s absolutely true (See specious accusations in photo at right). Lefties believe they are blameless. Lefties believe they are always right, always on the right side. Lefties believe that because of this special status only they should be allowed to speak, participate, assemble, or serve in positions of authority and power.
Lefties are the most intolerant people you’ll ever know.
When you believe in civil disobedience anything goes, so watch out ’cause, here it comes. Dubbed “Democracy Spring,” it’s bound to be a whopper. Leftist organizations, both radical and main stream, are organizing for a period of continuing civil disobedience moving toward the election. From the Breitbart link:
Despite the fact that many of the main groups endorsing Democracy Spring are funded by billionaire Soros, the group complains that “American elections are dominated by billionaires and big money interests who can spend unlimited sums of money on political campaigns to protect their special interests at the general expense.”
But if the status quo goes unchallenged, the 2016 election — already set to be the most billionaire-dominated, secret money-drenched, voter suppression-marred contest in modern American history — will likely yield a President and a Congress more bound to the masters of big money than ever before.
The stage is set for a bold intervention to turn the tinder of passive public frustration into a fire that transforms the political climate in America, that sparks a popular movement that can’t be stopped.
Now there’s some incendiary words for you…and from a movement that “can’t be stopped.” How democratic, or is it as tyrannical, as it gets!
Tactically they are even seeking support from any right wing anti-Trump zealot who’s crazy enough to buy into the mayhem being proposed to “stop Trump.” Joining with a Soros backed movement will NOT get the moneyed interests out, just the opposite!
Our nation was formed, and our Constitution written, by men who had lived under the tyranny of kings. The radical left, including
Socialists like Sanders, Hillary, and Soros believe in a controlling big federal government and eventually a world government. There’s a problem in their ideology, however. Big governments crush individual rights and invite collusion with big money interests. Big moneyed interests are not confined to business people or the rich alone. Big green energy, big education union, big technology, and big minority organizations also have used the system to further their interests and hold sway over politicians in exchange for their money and votes. If we really want to rid the system of corruption, we need to downsize the federal government. I don’t know that Donald Trump would help to move the country back toward a more limited federal government. But I do know that both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are in favor of federal government control over our lives. They will achieve this aim through higher federal tax rates, more regulation of industry, more regulations in healthcare and education, and the creation of new programs to redistribute our hard earned tax money. Protesters are being guided to destroy Trump as a means of electing Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. They align behind the Occupy Wall Street class warfare meme. What this means is they don’t believe Hillary or Bernie are electable through the normal process.
This is one of the most important elections in American history but even if we manage to rid ourselves of the American destroying candidates running in the Democrat Party we will still have socialist, anti-American groups to contend with and a long difficult battle to rid ourselves of the real monster…our engorged federal government.
Heed the wisdom of the founders, good citizen, please:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.” — James Madison, Federal No. 45, January 26, 1788
“The government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like state governments, whose powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” — James Madison, speech in the House of Representatives, January 10, 1794
“Democracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy; such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes and no man’s life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure, and every one of these will soon mould itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few.” — John Adams, An Essay on Man’s Lust for Power (1763)
“It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect his country from its government.” — Thomas Paine
“Resolved, that the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general government . . . whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force.” — Thomas Jefferson, /Draft Kentucky Resolutions/ [1798]
“To consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions [is] a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.” — Thomas Jefferson letter to William C. Jarvis, 1820.
“The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.” — Thomas Jefferson
“Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.” — Thomas Jefferson
Time to take away those vets benefits and social security checks right?
Time to take away all corporate subsidies right?
Man is being ruled by the elite who also are controlling this election.
Both parties, both sides. How can one pretend they are for self governance while taking money fro the elite which comes with strings attached?
The gov was supposed to be by the people for the pople. It is by the corporation by the corporation. Including one called “Trump”
Privatizing all assets to for profit scams is better why?
First of all no one has EVER suggested, “privatizing all assets to for profit scams.” That doesn’t even make sense. The only money that government has is what it TAKES from the citizens. The assets they have, buildings and such, were purchased by citizens taxes and are owned by the people.
Assets ARE personal property, Dewey. You live in America where the people are free to own property and accumulate assets. Assets don’t have to be “privatized” they are, by definition, privately owned.
We DO NOT live in a COLLECTIVE, where everyone works, the “profit” is taken by the government and then handed out to the people. That is a Marxist ideal, a form of socialism your Bernie embraces. It is authoritarian. It encourages Corporatism…and in a fascist form, it is Corporatism, where government controls, but does not own outright, the companies (Assets).
Private ownership, supported by the rule of law, is an important aspect of freedom. We in America are fortunate to be guaranteed the right to own property. It’s in the Constitution! The ability to own property and accumulate assets is the difference between most of us being beggars, forever with our hands out, and independent self-supporting citizens. Because Americans are fortunate we have also always been a very charitable nation also. I’m very concerned that this wonderful model is being destroyed…you should be concerned too.
We have paid into SS all our working lives. The government forced us to participate by imposing a tax. It’s automatically taken from our paychecks and matched with an imposed equal employer percentage. The government isn’t “giving” us this money. Workers earned the money that was “saved” for them as a retirement insurance against poverty! It’s been poorly managed and in need of reform for a long time.
It’s unfortunate that it was set up so badly. The same money placed in a safe investment package, like our congress persons and presidents have, would give the retiree much more at retirement. His money would work for him and his beneficiaries. People should be able to choose how THEIR money is invested for their own retirement years.
What would happen if veterans benefits and social security were “taken away” at the federal level Dewey? What would the people do? What would the state legislators propose? Would states have to be more responsible so that citizens wouldn’t move to another state that gives veterans better care?
What would happen if all federal programs ended? What would the states do? In which states would dependency bloom, while in others independence? Which states would impose higher taxes?
Which states would attract more Corporatism and corruption? Which states less…and why?
Where would choose to you live?
How much freer would we be if we had the ability to vote with our feet?
Given the opportunity, and the extra savings from low federal taxes, I would choose a state that created competition and choices for all citizens/patients/students/workers/retirees. I would choose a state that kept as much power as possible in the hands of the people.
I agree that the corporatism and corruption going on in Washington must be stopped…getting there is the challenge.re
We will never get there as long as our citizens believe the federal government exists to take from some citizens to give us stuff. That’s when the corruption starts. Think of all the groups with their demands. meeting those demands costs money…money to get reelected and money to administer the programs, subsidies and grants.
If the people are to be equal and free, then with respect to the citizens, our government must remain neutral, unbiased. We citizens must take responsibility upon our own shoulders.
George Soros is behind every aspect to take down America just like he’s done with other countries. He’s funded the activist in Ferguson, Baltimore and now has given $700,000 to Kasich to bring chaos to the convention where some are saying will be the end of the Republican party as we’ve know it.
Soros is a puppet master who is using Americans of both parties to achieve his plan of global control. Top down = gov’t oppression. Bottom up = people resistance. Inside out = revolution/chaos.
