“Iran on Tuesday summoned the Swiss ambassador, who handles U.S. interests in Tehran, to condemn a Supreme Court ruling that almost $2 billion in frozen Iranian assets must be turned over to U.S. families of those killed in attacks blamed on Tehran.
Denouncing the ruling as theft, Iran warned on Monday that it would seek to take the United States to the International Court of Justice at The Hague to prevent the distribution of the money.” AP
But, what about the 52 US embassy people captured and held hostage for 444 days? What did they ever get? Nothing. Iran should have been made to pay dearly for that one and had it been Ronald Reagan as president and not Jimmy Carter, they would have. Chances are good they would be without a no nuclear program now if we had gone to war over that embassy fiasco. We could have destroyed the confidence and will to wage war of all those Iranians that held up a fist to us, both then and now.
