Make America Mexico (again?)

Now you’ve seen the video which gives you an idea of what is going on.  But, then there is this silly slogan that popped up among protesters, obviously mocking Trump’s “Make America Great Again.”  It was called,”Make America Mexico Again.” We’ve seen what some of our Southern border towns look like and they are not great advertising for things to come.

So, here’s a couple of points to be consider before I rush to turn my country over to Mexico: Point #1 – Mexico is a polluted, poverty ridden, drug infested, crime lord corrupted, 3rd world garbage dump of a country, except for some palatial resorts made for the touristas.

Hey, living in idiotic leftwing California is bad enough, why would anyone want to trade what we have for the filth, poverty, crime and corruption that is 90% of Mexico? Mexico is a hole.  I want no part of it.  But, I’m not alone, obviously Mexico’s own citizens must feel that way too or they would not be pouring across the border by the millions.

Furthermore, and this would be point #2, America was never owned by Mexico! The couple of S/W states that were Mexican territory for 10 minutes and have now been solidly part of the United States of America for over 150 years.  We took it from a cactus strewn desert and made it into a modern marvel with all the amenities our hard working people (of many colors) could afford and we ain’t gonna give it back to Mexico.

This is America. We speak English in America.  We have our own rich customs,  our own border, history and a unique culture.  Without these things we wouldn’t have country, so don’t be surprised if we want to keep our border, language and culture secure.

As stated in our Constitution, we strongly embrace the concept of a great melting pot,  where diversity is melded into a strong nation.  Diversity unto itself is just diversity, a big nothing. Get it? So feel free keep your old world customs, I like Cinco de Mayo too, we enjoy lots of customs here, but don’t to try to [replace] ours for yours! It’s not going to happen.

If you are one of those folks determined to remain a Mexican, why come here and try to make this great country into a backwards, 3rd world country like Mexico?  We’re not that interested in living like the average Mexican citizen.

This is our country, with all it’s diversity, and ethnicities melded into one great American society and we like it that way.   It works for us!

You (illegals and their sympathizers) have done your best (worst) trying to remake parts of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas into Mexico with the poverty, gangs, crime, barrios and drugs, but it didn’t go over well.   We don’t like barrios esse, leave em Mexico!

Now because Donald Trump would like to stop this corruption of the American dream and deport you and your familia grande back to where you came from, you’re having a fit and so are our idiot liberals.  If you all love Mexico so much, why are you here?  Seriously, because we are not going to become Mexico…period.

Let me further clue you in, it is not okay to mess with our elections, beat us down, burn our flag, or raise the Mexican flag over ours.  This junk will not win approval for your  mission to make our country into Mexico.  It’s just not going down like that hombre.   Instead, you are going to be on your way back to Mexico soon.

So, adios amigo, don’t let the door hit you in the rear on your way out!  VOTE TRUMP.

Those idiot protesters need to realize they’re just recruiting more Trump supporters.

Never been a Trump supporter. The man, as I’ve said before, degust me. But, keep disrespecting my country’s flag and my country and they’re motivating me toward voting for him.

  2. bob says:

I am glad at least some of you gringos are beginning to understand this is the United States of Mexico. I suggest you all learn Mexican. You’re going to need it!

  3. Tina says:

Here’s one of many stories you’ve never heard about 200 stranded Marines and Trump:

When Corporal Ryan Stickney and 200 of his fellow Marines prepared to return to their families after Operation Desert Storm in 1991, a logistics error forced them to turn to a surprising source for a ride home: Donald J. Trump. Today, Stickney would like to say “thank you.” … “The way the story was told to us was that Mr. Trump found out about it and sent the airline down to take care of us. And that’s all we knew….I remember asking ‘Who is Donald Trump?’ I truly didn’t know anything about him,” the former Marine said.

Scroll down at the link for a photo.

There is more to this man than meets the eye.

  4. bob says:

This is America. We speak English in America.

You ought to walk into FoodMax sometime.

Heck, even go to the 20th Street Mall. Half the people in there are speaking Mexican.

  5. bob says:

    This is America

Not any more. This country is being trashed by the policies the progressives have rammed down our throats and mark my words it will only get worse. You think the illegal alien problem is bad now.? Just wait until all the illegals from the Middle East get here. And by God they will. The politicians, Demonrats and Rethuglocons, will make sure of it, guaranteed.

And what’s going to be done about this? Not thing one. The people will sit back and take it. Heck, if something like the state of Jefferson has no hope of becoming reality how is any of this going to be stopped?

  6. Tina says:

Jack it’s amazing how some people sit around in their little corner of the country and assume that when it comes to open border policy on immigration, which is just about what we have, “it’s all good.” Nothing negative will happen in their airy fairy minds but as you point out it is already changing and changing fast and the direction is straight down the toilet.

THIS IS NOT COMPASSION…it is insanity.

(I thought we couldn’t embed video…did you do it the same way we used to do it?)

  7. Harold says:

“So, here’s a couple of points to be consider before I turn over my country over to Mexico: Point #1 – Mexico is a polluted, poverty ridden, drug infested, crime lord corrupted, 3rd world garbage dump of a country,

    Lets include disease as well,

Those who will not abide by our laws of immigration and just illegally cross borders also ignore heath issues. just another of the problems with illegals crossing southern borders.

But they make perfect self serving Liberals, because lets face it the liberal moto should be ‘Its all about me’

    • Tina says:

Excellent point Harold. The left points to the statue of liberty and the Emma Lazarus quote, ““Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” and pretends that America has always allowed anybody in. But it’s not true.

  8. Libby says:

Geez, did you people learn nothing in your schoolyards?

You hit people, you are going to get hit back. Trump, the very last word in schoolyard bully, is gonna learn it late, but he will learn it.

And should it come to pass that the Surenos merge with the Nortenos and launch their very own Jihad, you will have no one to blame for it but yourselves.

    • J. Soden says:

Here’s hoping the Trump supporters will keep their cool and hit back where it will hurt the most – at the ballot box!

    • Tina says:

Libby dear, America was hit, George Bush hit back, and all you did was criticize and complain. He left Obama with a relatively stable ME and a defeated al Qaeda…we had only to stay the course and “win” the peace. The incredibly arrogant Obama turned his back, made smug remarks, but has overseen the rise and spread of ISIS with several nations in utter chaos due to their rise, a completely destabilized ME, and thousand and thousands refugees flooding into Europe…and NOT A PEEP from you.

Is it only brown people and terrorists who are allowed to “hit back?” If so, you are a complete ignoramus! Recruit enough like yourself and it will be YOU who will learn her lesson “late.”

We KNOW who to blame for this insanity on a global scale…PC nut cases like you who think you can play nice and make friends with people who hit and aim to overrun and oppress.

      • Libby says:

“America was hit, George Bush hit back, ….”

Hussein attacked the homeland? You’d think I’d remember a thing like that.

Why are you provoking me to remind you that The Shrub’s war was proven totally groundless, and has in no small way exacerbated the current difficulties by 1) enhancing the street cred of AQ, and 2) spawning ISIS.

      • Chris says:

Tina, if the Iraq War was such a great idea, why are you voting for Trump, who has claimed (falsely) to have always opposed the Iraq War, and has even said the world would be a better place if Hussein were still in power?

        http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/25/politics/donald-trump-moammar-gadhafi-saddam-hussein/

        • Tina says:

Libby the actual facts about the Iraq strategy and war, including the plan to take out Saddam that was formulated prior to the Clinton administration, are well documented and have been posted by me here on PS many many times. YOU willfully choose to ignore it so you can play this silly scenario in your head. Al Qaeda was decimated and demoralized at the end of the Bush term BECAUSE he stood up to them, declared we would defeat them, pulled together a coalition of supporting nations, acquired the blessing of both the Congress and the UN and then oversaw the difficult task and brought it to completion. As I said, all Obama had to do was win the peace and remain on course. He weenied out on the whole deal and with the help of the incompetent Hillary Clinton made it possible for the Taliban to regain power in Afghanistan, ISIS to rise and spread, set fire to the nations of Libya, Syria, and Egypt, and got a lot of our kids killed for NOTHING!

Your own O’bummerman said ISIS was the JV team, remember? Turns out under his leadership the JV team wins the Jihad Olympics.

NO AMERICAN invented or inspired violent Islamist jihad; it springs from the founding.

You’d love to erase 71/2 years of absolute failure, but the notion just doesn’t fly. The job Obama signed up to do included defense of the nation. That included making sure the terrorists remained defeated…and our allies remained allies. Obama has failed spectacularly.

          • Chris says:

Tina, why do you keep falsely claiming that we had the backing of the UN to go into Iraq? This is a lie. Not only did we not have UN approval, the UN condemned our actions.

How can anyone take your position on the Iraq War seriously when you are misinformed on this basic, well known fact?

        • Tina says:

By now you should know the # one answer…the alternatives are worse. Two, I don’t have to agree completely to vote for a candidate because I’m not a lock step voter.

  9. Libby says:

” … because we are not going to become Mexico ….”

Indeed. So what has compelled you to write this? You people are really starting to scare me. That you would feel any compulsion to write this bespeaks a terror so wildly irrational as to be dangerous.

You have to get a grip.

Turn off the TV. Some fishing, hole up in the house and paint until November 3, and everything will be fine.

  10. Pie Guevara says:

The way Latino progressives attacked Trump supporters, it is more like MAKE AMERICA VENEZUELA.

You Venezuela cannot happen here? It has already started and the Democrats=progressives=socialists are working steadily to make it come true.

  11. Pie Guevara says:

I note that Chris has decided to keep his fat yap shut in this thread. Some joke, eh Chris?

  12. Chris says:

There’s nothing to say, Pie. There’s nothing of substance in the article–just xenophobic fearmongering.

Uh oh–I used one of your banned words! But the zapato fits.

  13. bob says:

I wonder if Chris and the rest of the liberals here would consider Muhammad Ali a racist, especially after this interview.

    https://www.lewrockwell.com/political-theatre/anti-pc-muhammad-ali/

    • Chris says:

Bob–of course Muhammad Ali’s segregationist views were racist. What’s your point? Who doesn’t know that Ali’s views on race were rather extreme? This view was actually more of its time than some of its others–polling data shows that a majority of Americans did not support interracial marriage until the early 90s. We can discuss why Ali had such a negative view of this and why he found it so important for members of his race to “stay together,” but that doesn’t make his statements any less racist. Don’t you agree?

      • bob says:

Do you think the government treat black racists the same as it treats white racists? Should the government treat hispanic racists the same as it treats white racists? Should the government give money to black or hispanic racist groups?

        • Chris says:

No, of course the government shouldn’t give money to any racist groups. Do you have any evidence they are doing so now?

          • bob says:

So do you think the government should give money to La Raza?

          • bob says:

The government is giving money to La Raza which BTW means The Race.

          • Chris says:

No, La Raza means “The People.”

What racist activities or rhetoric does La Raza engage in?

          • bob says:

La raza translates as the race. Learn your Mexican for crying out loud! (You’re gonna need it.) The Demonrats have funneled tens of millions of dollars to The Race.

Key among La Raza’s subsidiary groups is Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.

They have said “Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects the notion that w should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting pot.”

Their founding principles are contained in these words in “El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan” (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan) and include:

“For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing.”

But of course that’s not racism according to you (as long as a white person isn’t saying it).

  14. Tina says:

    “Hlary’s Goon Squad:

Think what you will of Donald Trump and the things he’s said … he’s only said things. Yet whenever he gathers with supporters to say things, an organized and well-funded progressive mob gathers outside to intimidate and attack people who simply want to hear the man speak. Their shirts may be all colors of the rainbow, but their actions are decidedly brown.

The Sturmabteilung, more commonly known as “Brownshirts,” were the fanatical enforcement wing of the Nazi Party during its rise to power. The Brownshirts intimidated opponents of Hitler into submission through threats and violence. Ultimately they were simply “useful idiots,” discarded (read: purged) after their usefulness had run its course. But the concept of a fanatical, violent mob to silence opposition lives on in the progressive movement.

You can deny the similarity but it’s there for anyone with an open mind to see.

    • Chris says:

But Tina, we’re not voting for a candidate’s supporters. We’re voting for a candidate. No candidate can be responsible for everything their supporters do, though they do have an obligation to condemn political violence that their supporters engage in. Clinton has done that; Trump hasn’t. And only Trump has expressly told his supporters to engage in violence. These are facts.

      • Tina says:

Clinton has done that; Trump hasn’t.”

Not true. Trump said after his supporter punched out a disrespectful protester: “The young man stuck his finger up in the air, and the other man sort of just had it,” the candidate said on “Meet the Press.” “But I still, I don’t condone violence.”

The reason you may not know this is that the left blogosphere/media mania to blame Trump for the violence of the Democrat protesters is sucking all the air out of the space. There is a frenzy of messaging to blame Trump for the violence performed by Democrat supporters! And you have become a full-throated brown shirt activist voice in that movement.

Barnie and Hillary make serious sounding speeches to denounce violence knowing full well the violence will continue. They cover their butts.

Trump says it like it is, including the very human response to want to hit back or “throw them out…get rid of them.” He also says he doesn’t “condone violence.”

Trump has no organized (paid) protesters out there. So who is really, authentically, against violence and who clearly is not? From my perspective the radicals that now own the Democrat party started out as activists, many of them violent activists. None of the violent activists have been denounced…they were kept in the closet but they are more visible now and still doing the work of undermining any opposition (As well as the founding vision of America).

Congrats Chris, you are a tool.

        • Chris says:

Tina: “Not true. Trump said after his supporter punched out a disrespectful protester: “The young man stuck his finger up in the air, and the other man sort of just had it,” the candidate said on “Meet the Press.” “But I still, I don’t condone violence.””

That’s what’s called a lie, Tina. Trump did condone violence on more than one occasion when he told his supporters to punch protesters. Clinton and Bernie have never done anything like this.

You continue to ignore the very real acts of violence committed by Trump supporters in order to pretend only lefties have done this.

          RedState provides numerous examples:

However, let’s not indulge the fantasy that Trump supporters are completely passive victims of a liberal conspiracy to physically intimidate them from exercising their constitutional rights. See, in a Democracy, people also have the right to peacefully protest Donald Trump rallies. That right includes the right to say things that are offensive to Trump supporters (just the same way that Trump’s comments offend the protesters). The right to free assembly and free speech is a two way street. And by far the largest share of the physical violence that has erupted during this campaign season has been instigated by Trump supporters and directed at nonviolent protesters.

For instance, a couple weeks ago in San Diego, before the ugly San Jose scene (for which the San Jose PD bears no small amount of blame), Trump supporters were caught on film pepper spraying non violent protesters. You can see from this video that the protester in question is exchanging words with a Trump supporter in a non violent fashion. The crowd shifts and the protester trips and falls to the ground. Two Trump supporters pull out their pepper spray and began indiscriminately pepper spraying everyone on the “protester” side of the line.

…Or, a few weeks ago, when this protester, who you can clearly see is not using violence, threats, or intimidation at all, was attacked by Trump supporters at a Trump rally:

…Or this protester, peacefully holding up a protest sign (and actually leaving the venue) who was sucker punched and kicked by a Trump supporter:

…Or who can forget this Trump supporter who sucker punched a protester in the face while the protester was being escorted out of a North Carolina rally by police:

…Or when Trump supporters pushed this nonviolent protester to the ground, and punched and kicked him:

          http://www.redstate.com/leon_h_wolf/2016/06/06/trump-supporters-pepper-spray-non-violent-protesters-video/

“Trump says it like it is,”

What an interesting way to describe someone who lies as often as Trump.

          http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

“including the very human response to want to hit back or “throw them out…get rid of them.”””

          1) Presidents are supposed to be above such a response. Donald Trump does not have the temperament to be president.

          2) Violently assaulting someone who is not committing actual violence against you is not “hitting back.” It’s assault.

Your defense, as usual, is incoherent.

  15. Tina says:

“No, La Raza means ‘The People.”’

    Spanish Dictioanry: raza race

    Wikipedia:

The Spanish term La Raza translates as “the Race”, Spanish raza having the meaning of “race, ethnicity; breed, strain, lineage”. The term expresses ethnic or racial pride, and is used with somewhat different shades of meaning in Spain and in Hispanic America..

    Discover the Networks:

NCLR’s roots can be traced back to the early 1960s, when a group of young Mexican Americans in Washington, DC decided to form a coordinating body to bring existing Hispanic groups—which were generally small and isolated—together into a single united front, which they called the National Organization for Mexican American Services (NOMAS). Soon thereafter, NOMAS presented a funding proposal to the Ford Foundation, which in turn issued a large grant to finance a major, first-of-its-kind UCLA study of Mexican Americans and the major issues they faced.

Before long, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights began to hold a series of influential hearings on the status of Mexican Americans and, later, other Latino groups residing in the United States. In addition, the Ford Foundation initiated a second (though less academic) investigation of the same subject. To carry out that study, Ford hired three Mexican Americans—Dr. Julian Samora (a community activist who helped pioneer the field of Latino Studies; Dr. Ernesto Galarza (a professor who was widely considered “the dean of Chicano activism”); and Herman Gallegos (a San Francisco-based community organizer who had previously worked with his mentor, Saul Alinsky, to establish a Mexican-American political action group.[2] These three men traveled throughout the Southwest to meet with other Hispanic activists vis a vis policies and programs that could be developed to help Mexican Americans. These consultations resulted in the publication of two reports showing that Mexican Americans “faced numerous obstacles, especially with respect to poverty”; needed “more local, grassroots programmatic and advocacy organizations”; and could benefit from a sustained “national advocacy” campaign on their behalf.

To address these issues, Galarza, Samora, and Gallegos collaborated to co-found the Southwest Council of La Raza (SWCLR)—NCLR’s predecessor—in Phoenix, Arizona in February 1968. SWCLR’s major funding was provided by the Ford Foundation, the National Council of Churches, and the United Auto Workers union. Gallegos became SWCLR’s first executive director, while Galarza served as a consultant to the nascent organization. In the summer of 1968, SWCLR began to help establish and support barrio (community) groups committed to “promoting empowerment, voter registration, leadership development, and other forms of advocacy.”

At the end of 1972, SWCLR became a national organization and changed its name to the National Council of La Raza (NCLR, often simply called “La Raza”) “to reflect its commitment to represent and serve all Mexican Americans in all parts of the country.” The following year, the group relocated its headquarters from Phoenix to Washington, DC. Thanks in large measure to continued support from the Ford Foudation (totaling approximately $40 million in grants over the next four decades), NCLR would grow into a behemoth of the left-wing “civil rights” and “social justice” establishment.[3]

Controversy over the Name “La Raza”

The words “La Raza” (Spanish for “The Race”) in NCLR’s name have long been a source of considerable controversy. Critics claim that the name reflects an organizational commitment to racial separatism and race-based grievance mongering. By NCLR’s telling, however, such critics have mistranslated the word “Raza.” “The term ‘La Raza,’” says the organization, “has its origins in early 20th century Latin American literature and translates into English most closely as ‘the people’ or, according to some scholars, ‘the Hispanic people of the New World.’” According to NCLR, “the full term,” which was coined by the Mexican scholar José Vasconcelos, is “la raza cósmica,” meaning “the cosmic people.” NCLR describes this as “an inclusive concept” whose purpose is to express the fact that “Hispanics share with all other peoples of the world a common heritage and destiny.”

NCLR’s interpretation of Vasconcelos’s explanation, however, is inaccurate. As Guillermo Lux and Maurilio Vigil (professors of history and political science, respectively, at New Mexico Highlands University) note in their 1991 book, Aztlan: Essays on the Chicano Homeland:

“The concept of La Raza can be traced to the ideas and writings of Jose Vasconcelos, the Mexican theorist who developed the theory of la raza cosmica (the cosmic or super race) at least partially as a minority reaction to the Nordic notions of racial superiority. Vasconelos developed a systematic theory which argued that climatic and geographic conditions and mixture of Spanish and Indian races created a superior race. The concept of La Raza connotes that the mestizo is a distinct race and not Caucasian, as is technically the case.”

In short, Vasconcelos was not promoting “an inclusive concept,” but rather, the notion of Hispanic racial superiority. …

…NCLR’s Wealth-Building (WB) program, lamenting that “Latino families own just nine cents for every dollar owned by White families,” features a Housing and Community Development component and a Wealth-Building Policy Project devoted to “helping low-income Latino households build wealth through tangible assets, such as homes, cars, and savings.” Specifically, the WB program seeks to help Latinos purchase their first home, avoid foreclosure, access their tax refunds, and make prudent financial decisions. It also lobbies for policy changes that would “hold banks and lenders more accountable to Latino families for their services, protect against deceptive lending practices, and increase access to financial products and decision-making tools.”

The foregoing objectives are rooted in the premise that lending institutions commonly try to exploit Latinos. As a logical outgrowth of that premise, NCLR has long pressured banks to lower their qualification standards for home loans to Hispanic borrowers. When large numbers of banks ultimately succumbed to such pressure (which was augmented by similar mandates from the federal government), there was a dramatic spike in the number of subprime loans that were issued to Hispanics (and, for the same reason, to African Americans). Thus the stage was set for the housing market crisis of 2008, which in turn caused Hispanics as a whole to lose fully two-thirds of their net worth.
(For details about the correlation between watered-down mortgage-lending standards and the housing-market crisis, click here.)
NCLR has also sought to partner with banks that conduct business with illegal aliens.

    Discover the Networks:

There are many immigrant groups joined in the overall “La Raza” movement. The most prominent and mainstream organization is the National Council de La Raza — the Council of “The Race”.

To most of the mainstream media, most members of Congress, and even many of their own members, the National Council of La Raza is no more than a Hispanic Rotary Club.

But the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions.

The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for “housing reform,” (ACORN ACtvity?) while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.

Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.

One of America’s greatest strengths has always been taking in immigrants from cultures around the world, and assimilating them into our country as Americans. By being citizens of the U.S. we are Americans first, and only, in our national loyalties.

This is totally opposed by MEChA for the hordes of illegal immigrants pouring across our borders, to whom they say:

“Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects the notion that we…should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting pot…Aztlan was the legendary homeland of the Aztecas … It became synonymous with the vast territories of the Southwest, brutally stolen from a Mexican people marginalized and betrayed by the hostile custodians of the Manifest Destiny.” (Statement on University of Oregon MEChA Website, Jan. 3, 2006)

MEChA isn’t at all shy about their goals, or their views of other races. Their founding principles are contained in these words in “El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan” (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan):

“In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal gringo invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny. … Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. … We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.”

That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all. It says: “For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing.”

If these morally sickening MEChA quotes were coming from some fringe website, Americans could at least console themselves that it was just a small group of nuts behind it. Nearly every racial and ethnic group has some shady characters and positions in its past and some unbalanced individuals today claiming racial superiority and demanding separatism. But this is coming straight from the official MEChA sites at Georgetown University, the University of Texas, UCLA, University of Michigan, University of Colorado, University of Oregon, and many other colleges and universities around the country.

MEChA was in fact reported to be one of the main organizers of those street demonstrations we witnessed over the past weeks. That helps explain why those hordes of illegal immigrants weren’t asking for amnesty — they were demanding an end to U.S. law, period. Unlike past waves of immigrants who sought to become responsible members of American society, these protesters reject American society altogether, because they have been taught that America rightfully belongs to them.

MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as “Aztlan” — a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to “La Raza” once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States will simply be extinguished.

This plan is what is referred to as the “Reconquista” or reconquest, of the Western U.S.

But it won’t end with territorial occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of “Aztlan.”

As Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge’s MEChA chapter has been quoted as saying: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled — opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power.”

Members of these radical, anti-American, racist organizations are frequently smoothly polished into public respectability by the National Council of La Raza.

Former MEChA members include Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who was officially endorsed by La Raza for mayor and was awarded La Raza’s Graciela Olivarez Award. Now we know why he refuses to condemn a sea of foreign flags in his city. California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is also a former MEChA member. He delivered the keynote address at La Raza’s 2002 Annual Convention.

The National Council of La Raza and its allies in public office make no repudiation of the radical MEChA and its positions. In fact, as recently as 2003, La Raza was actively funding MEChA, according to federal tax records.

Imagine Robert Byrd’s refusing to disavow the views of the KKK, or if Strom Thurmond had failed to admit segregation was wrong. Imagine Heritage or Brookings Foundation making grants to the American Nazi Party.

Is the National Council of La Raza itself a racist organization? Regardless of the organization’s suspect ties, the majority of its members are not. When one examines all the organization’s activities, they are commendable non-profit projects, such as education and housing programs.

But even these defensible efforts raise the question of whether education and housing programs funded with federal tax dollars should be used in programs specifically targeted to benefit just one ethnic group.

La Raza defenders usually respond by calling anyone making these allegations “a racist” for having called attention to La Raza’s racist links. All the groups and public officials with ties to the La Raza movement can take a big step towards disproving these allegations by simply following the examples of Senators Byrd and Thurmond and repenting of their past ways.

If they are unwilling to admit past misdeeds, they can at least state — unequivocally — that they officially oppose the racist and anti-American positions of MEChA, and any other groups that espouse similar views.

Through public appearances, written statements, and on their respective websites, La Raza groups and allies must:

    1. Denounce the motto “For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada,” as repugnant, racist, and totally incompatible with American society or citizenship.

    2. Acknowledge the right of all Americans to live wherever they choose in the U.S. without segregation.

    3. Commit to sponsorship of nationwide educational programs to combat racism and anti-Semitism in the Hispanic community.

    4. Denounce and sever all ties with MEChA and any other organizations with which they have ever been associated which held to the racist doctrines held by MEChA.

    5. Acknowledge the internationally recognized borders of the U.S., the right of the citizens of the U.S. to determine immigration policy through the democratic process, and the right of the U.S. to undertake any and all necessary steps to effectively enforce immigration law and defend its border against unauthorized entry.

    6. Repudiate all claims that current American territory rightfully belongs to Mexico.

If the National Council of La Raza, other La Raza groups, and local and national political leaders with past ties and associations with the radical elements of the La Raza movement can publicly issue such a statement and live by every one of these principles, they should be welcomed into the American public policy arena, with past sins — real or imaginary — forgiven.

If they cannot publicly and fully support these principles, Congress needs to take appropriate steps and immediately bar any group refusing to comply from receiving any future federal funds. Both the House and Senate should strike these groups from testifying before any committees, and the White House should sever all ties. Both political parties should disengage from any further contact with these groups and individuals. (continues)
