Hillary Emails: Putin Concerns

The Observer, “Vladimir Putin Has Everything He Needs to Blackmail Hillary Clinton – American intelligence officers are asking not ‘if’ but ‘when’ the Kremlin will dip into its arsenal of Clinton collateral” Now there’s a scary thought:

RUMINT (Rumor Intelligence) is rife with reports that Russian intelligence agencies are preparing to release emails “hacked” from Hillary Clinton’s rogue Internet email server.

Agreed, this sounds a bit like a blackmail plot in a 1940s radio detective thriller or a soap opera. Except it isn’t. We live in a world where blood gets spilled. …

… No one doubts that Clinton’s server could be hacked. Known facts indicate it was probed by hackers and likely hacked. On June 8 the Associated Press published an article summarizing information gleaned from released emails and discussing the likelihood that foreign intelligence services had hacked Clinton’s definitely not-approved off-the-record and therefore illegal system.

“…because both Clinton’s server and the State Department systems were vulnerable to hacking, the perpetrators could have those original emails, and now the publicly released, redacted versions showing exactly which sections refer to CIA personnel.

“Start with the entirely plausible view that foreign intelligence services discovered and rifled Hillary Clinton’s server,” said Stewart Baker, a Washington lawyer who spent more than three years as an assistant secretary of the Homeland Security Department and is former legal counsel for the National Security Agency. If so, those infiltrators would have copies of all her emails with the names not flagged as being linked to the agency.”

The names Baker refers to are those of U.S. intelligence officers. Read the report. He suggests they may have been compromised.

  1. Libby says:

And what did Pooty get on Trump from those hacked DNC servers?

Is this supposed to be some sort of diversion?

NPR did something after the hacking, pundits reminding us that while we’ve been diverted by China and the ME, Russia has never lost its fascination with us. They purportedly have more agents on the ground here than anywhere else. Don’t that make you feel special?

    • Tina says:

I see, you intend to spin like a top right along with Chris. For awhile there you were sounding like a curios open-minded citizen.

It was obviously just a ruse or a triffling for self-amusement.

  2. Tina says:

I was in such a hurry to post this wit the live stream for those interested that I forgot to include some vital info from the article on Putin:

Hillary Clinton doesn’t know what the Russians may or may not know—nor does Barack Obama. The FBI and CIA might have some good guesses, but they don’t know for certain. In the mirror world of intelligence, it is possible the Kremlin doesn’t know what it knows.

Russian blackmail classifies as a potential threat, and another reason I believe a full and complete investigation of Hillary Clinton’s national security crime requires a special prosecutor. By the way, on June 14 U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan referred to the FBI investigation as a “criminal investigation,” confirming what White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said June 9. The executive and judicial branches are now in agreement.

So. Will Vlad blackmail Hillary? Or, “When Will Vlad blackmail Hillary?” Sure, it’s speculation. It’s a scenario. It’s like a radio-era detective serial.

Stay tuned for the next episode.

The next episode should be a special prosecutor since Obama and his Justice Department are disqualified due to Obama’s endorsement of Hillary. Major conflict there! It should signal to the world in spades that Hillary Clinton buried her chances to become president when she chose to hide her work at State from the government, the President when she chose to, and the American people through Freedom of Information Act requests. We don’t need a covert liar who puts our nation and it’s allies at risk for her own selfish purposes.

Hillary Clinton should never be president of the United States.

  3. Libby says:

How do you find this stuff? It is, once again, opinion passed off as reporting. You couldn’t even call it an essay. Paragraph B has little to do with A, C nothing to do with B. Reminds me of the kind of flailing all over the road that you do.

And Pooty hacks secured and unsecured servers. Secured are only a little harder to break. And how does an instructor in Comp. Lit. in Texas propose to know what Pooty intends to do about anything?

    • Tina says:

Of course you say that, Libby, not knowing what is in those emails Hillary wanted to hide.

Where’s your inquiring mind? What might you do if you were an ex KGB agent opportunist with secret information that you know Hillary doesn’t want the world to know? What might he hold back in case she becomes President that you could use as an arm twister? Come on Libby, you’re sneaky enough to get it

      • Libby says:

Yes, Tina, we know you want this to happen. I’m asking what special knowledge a Comp. Lit. Instructor in Texas has of the matter?

Why would Pooty publicly expend such capital when it would only be written off as an effort to influence the election … and when such capital would be much more valuable after said election.

There is also to be considered that this intelligence thing is not a one-way street. I expect we know a thing or two Pooty would prefer did not become common knowledge.

Most definitely, however, any geopolitical blackmailing that may take place, we won’t hear about until 2066.

        • Tina says:

Libby I do wish you’d stop imagining that you know me and what I want.

“I’m asking what special knowledge a Comp. Lit. Instructor in Texas has of the matter?”

Austin Bay has considerable credentials to be speculating about such:

Austin Bay’s resume is manifold: Author and syndicated columnist, professor, developmental aid advocate, radio commentator, retired reserve soldier, war game designer, principal in a training simulations and technology consulting company. In 2014 Bay and his partners founded the Venture Connection and Innovation Network (VCIN). VCIN is a business education and business media company.

To date, Bay has co-authored five non-fiction books with James F. Dunnigan, three novels, and one pamphlet (Embrace the Suck) on language and military lingo. …

…The …Guide to War series, co-authored with James F. Dunnigan and published by Paladin Press, is an assessment of current and potential armed conflicts…Dunnigan and Bay not only include background on countries around the world and the political and renegade factions present in those countries, but also provide analysis of those factions and projections (common in war gaming) for what may occur in the near and far future. Several of their earlier editions’ predictions have been fulfilled. …

…His weekly syndicated column focuses on international issues–especially security and defense issues. …

…Bay, who has had two commercial wargames published, served for four years as a consultant in wargaming at the Pentagon. He holds the rank of Colonel (Armor), retired, in the U.S. Army Reserve. …

…He retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2003, but was recalled to active duty and served in Iraq in 2004. For this tour of duty in Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service.

While in Iraq on active duty, NPR Radio had Bay record a commentary via satellite phone. The piece, “Of Sandstorms and Guarded Hope in Baghdad,” can be heard here. …

…Additionally, Bay teaches a spring semester strategy and strategic theory course at the University of Texas for its Plan II Undergraduate Honors students.

Bay has a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. He is also a graduate of Rice University, the US Army Command and General Staff School, and the US Army War College.

“Why would Pooty publicly expend such capital when it would only be written off as an effort to influence the election…”

Oh I don’t know, maybe he doesn’t trust her and wants to influence the election. But the real concern is if she became president as Bay articulated:

Hillary Clinton doesn’t know what the Russians may or may not know—nor does Barack Obama. The FBI and CIA might have some good guesses, but they don’t know for certain. In the mirror world of intelligence, it is possible the Kremlin doesn’t know what it knows. … Russian blackmail classifies as a potential threat…

Yes, in your “trust me, Hillary knows what she’s doing everything will be fine world” you often shrug things off. And then we end up with people dead in Benghazi. No big deal right…at least not for the pigs that are more equal than others.

          • Libby says:

No I do not shrug them off. But I don’t make end-of-world scenarios out of them either. You keep forgetting that our own investigative agencies are busily ferreting through this email traffic and have come to know anything Pooty does.

You keep forgetting that there is, generally, a humongous lot of people out there taking care of business day in and day out. We hear about it when there’s a screw up, but mostly, things go ok.

Trump’s assertion that we’re on the road to ruin (a line Fox has been feeding you for many years and he merely exploits) simply isn’t true. We’re on the same wobbly road we’ve been on for 240 years.

  4. J. Soden says:

Putin doesn’t have to blackmail $hrilLIARy. Since she worships at the altar of the almighty dollar, all he has to do is come up with enough ca$h to get a Clinton to do whatever he wants.

  5. dewster says:

Bottom Line RW Propaganda spins and Tina Follows.

That said quite frankly Respectable Whistleblowers such as Drake, Binney and others are concerned. It is not just HRC’s emails it is those of the people before her as well. As we know even Colin Powell has admitted to this. GW so many of them.

Let us be real. Our people have made it easy to hack US for years. Obama came into office saying he was concerned. We have a whole division searching computer hardware for phishing by the Chinese before they are used by gov. WHy because we no longer produce computers. A HUGE PROBLEM.

Bottom Line Hillary is guilty with the info we have under the espionage act. So are many others. These people have been loose with security with an arrogance we see every day. They think that they are above the law. Democrats and Republicans are guilty.

We did not push to prosecute the GW admin and I doubt we will Indict Hillary. They get away with it because the people point fingers at their opposition while protecting their criminals. So BOO HOO

Until people cut this party crap and stand up for justice ?

Some of us are battling for justice not just pointing fingers and whining.

Neither Trump nor Hillary should be the choices. Find a candidate

    • Tina says:

“As we know even Colin Powell has admitted to this. GW so many of them.”

Get off it Dewey. Colin Powell sent a few messages, none of which threatened national security; ditto Rice, gW and “so may of them.” None of which set up a secret private server in their basement, None of which chose to decide which emails the government could keep and which they would “destroy”! The also weren’t caught lying about breaches of the public trust nor were they secretly seeking advice from someone the President refused to allow in her circle of advisors and underlings (Blumenthal).

“We did not push to prosecute the GW admin”

“Some of us are battling for justice not just pointing fingers and whining”

All you DO is point fingers and whine…read what you wrote!

      “Find a candidate”

      Good luck in fantasy land.

      Name the crime!

  6. dewster says:

BTW If you know anything about the Clinton’s Putin will not be able to Blackmail her. Hillary has outright challenged Putin and I disagree with her at this time. PBO is setting up her wars in Syria to which I may add is a Republican dream come true. She is a Republican.

Syria is a Proxy war bar None.

A No Fly Zone is taunting Putin.

World Wars change borders and the Banks & Elite are always behind them. That was documented and non debatable. War is Profit and Power.

That article is Pure election Fear Mongering

    • Tina says:

Dewey illustrates his brilliance by noticing what has been so from the beginning of time:

There are crooks and opportunists in the world

People like making money, sometimes in corrupt ways

Crooks aren’t always easy to catch and prosecute

Politics and politicians are often corrupt in collusion with monied people/companies

Special interest groups spend for political influence

Gosh…I’m so glad he let us know. Phew!

  7. Pie Guevara says:

Re Libbya : “How do you find this stuff?”

Post Scripts finds the “stuff” because Tina and Jack are intellectually curious, engaged, and interested. Whereas you are not.

    • Pie Guevara says:

Addenda — And Post Scripts pays attention to and credits RHT447 who has contributed far more to this forum than you ever have or ever will, Libbya troll.

  8. Chris says:

Luckily, there’s a candidate who doesn’t have to be blackmailed by Putin. Trump loves the guy, and would behave in a similar manner if he ever became president.

But he has no chance of ever winning a general election, of course.

I remember after 2012, Republicans were talking about reaching out more to women and minorities. The consensus was that Romney’s loss showed you couldn’t win without these groups.

    How’s that working for you?
