Another good NY Post story today! “American journalism is collapsing before our eyes,” by Michael Goodwin really smacks the big-wig journalists of today up side the head:
Donald Trump may or may not fix his campaign, and Hillary Clinton may or may not become the first female president. But something else happening before our eyes is almost as important: the complete collapse of American journalism as we know it.
The frenzy to bury Trump is not limited to the Clinton campaign and the Obama White House. They are working hand-in-hand with what was considered the cream of the nation’s news organizations.
The shameful display of naked partisanship by the elite media is unlike anything seen in modern America.
The largest broadcast networks — CBS, NBC and ABC — and major newspapers like The New York Times and Washington Post have jettisoned all pretense of fair play. Their fierce determination to keep Trump out of the Oval Office has no precedent.
Indeed, no foreign enemy, no terror group, no native criminal gang, suffers the daily beating that Trump does. The mad mullahs of Iran, who call America the Great Satan and vow to wipe Israel off the map, are treated gently by comparison. (continues)
Good to see some journalist are waking up to what some of us have witnessed for thirty or more years. the only difference is that their not pretending to be journalists anymore. They’re perfectly content to play cheerleader for progressive politics and policy.
Legacy media is losing audience share and advertising dollars. Some of it is due to new technology but they’ve been losing for some time now because at least half of the people notice their obscene bias. Not dead but definitely dying.
Proof can be found by just looking at how many have already switched to the internet and started their own media production companies. Leven, Shapiro, Attkisson, Rush and Beck, to name just a few. Some charge access fees and others don’t. Beck even started his own all inclusive media production studio in Texas where his radio and TV show is produced along with a full schedule of conservative shows. He’s producing documentaries and film makers like D’Souza use it for movies like “Hillary’s America.”
Beck said when he left Fox and opened his facility it was to get out from under the content control of those he was beholding to. He was warned to stop using the word “God” so much. He has reported that many CEOs and business owners including those from Silicon Valley have met with him on how to set up their own companies.
Based on Trump’s recent campaign hires it looks like he will be setting up a similar media production company whether he wins or loses.
The exposure of demagoguery is way, way, way high up on the fourth estate’s list of responsibilities in a democracy.
But we can see where fascists would not approve.
Phony!
Phony, nothing! You are actually complaining because the fourth estate reports what The ELE says and does. You are blaming the media because what he says and does runs the gamut from ridiculous to obscene.
Tough noogies. You picked him. Now live with the consequences.
And next time, pick better.
Follow the money as the saying goes.

It’s been known as the Clinton News Network since Billy was da prez, right Peggy?
I find it interesting when even liberals are beginning to notice.
Some Tina,……. but those liberals here at PS, well they conveniently seem to ignore the facts.
And given their outright admission of supporting $hrilLIARy, it’s become the Clinton Nonsense Network and have abandoned all right to use “News” in their name.
So right Tina. I have to admit I do watch Jake Tapper, because I find him to be a true journalist most of the time. I don’t always agree with him, but he has called out deceivers from both parties and will ask tough follow up questions.
Sheppard Smith on Fox is a hard core biased liberal who as a journalist makes it very clear where he stands personally on issues and the candidate he supports. He should be a commentator and not the head of their news programs.
Just can’t trust the news for the unbiased truth any more.
