J Soden brought this to our attention.
If you recall the President issued an advisory to Louisiana residents as they struggled to survive and recover from severe flooding:
“Care must be taken to ensure that actions, both intentional and unintentional, do not exclude groups of people based on race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), religion, sex, or disability. …”
The folks in Louisiana were greatly insulted by Obama’s remarks, as well they should be! Where the heck does he get off making such assumptions about people? One fellow, Ben Husser, took it upon himself to post an open letter to the President to make his feeling known:
Dear Mr President,
I want to thank you for reminding us in South Louisiana not to discriminate against anyone based on race or religion. Had you not reminded us of this I don’t know what we would have done. See we rode around in a boat saving people and well race or religion never entered my mind. Not once. It didn’t enter my buddies mind or my wife’s. Just saving people.
I understand you may be miss informed because of all the race baiting that the media did a couple months ago here is South Louisiana. But I assure you that’s not what we stand for in South Louisiana. We love each other when the times get hard. We look out for our own. Now I know this doesn’t fit your agenda. But facts are facts. …
Once again our president missed an opportunity to build unity. Instead he fostered division and hatred based on ugly assumptions, attitudes, and resentments rather than facts and realities. His record on race will fall closer to George Wallace than Martin Luther King. What a waste!
As I’ve suggested time and again if you want to get an idea of the way races interact in America go to a ball game, a restaurant, or any other venue and you will find people of all races enjoying their leisure together. Visit most any school or workplace and you will find people of all races working together. It is incredibly thoughtless and cruel to insinuate, to express the expectation, that blocks of white people are racists.
I’m not at all surprised by the photo above or the sentiments expressed by Husser. He lives in Louisiana and knows his neighbors.
I expect a whole lot better from our leaders. Hillary continues to fly the “whites are racists” flag. She should never be president.

Precisely. Obama isn’t interested in building unity. His only interest for nearly eight years as POTUS has been to foster racial division. In fact, that has been the Choom meister’s life’s work. What a crappy POTUS and human being he is. Look at what he and his wife did for Chicago. Nothing except to exacerbate racism and crime. As POTUS he took it nation wide.
Both have blood on their hands.
Good call Pie!
