Who Was America’s First President that was almost certainly not a natural born citizen? Recently uncovered evidence confirms what many had suspected. Although at the time he was in office he was thought to be ineligible because he was not a native born citizen, this birther question never gained any traction. This President dismissed the birther claim as being ridiculous and offer only unsupportable information as to his own birth location and date.
Hint: Well, to be completely accurate, we didn’t actually elect him, he inherited the position. Does that help? Who could it be? I’m sure with all you clever people out here you will not have to resort to going to the Internet for the answer! lol

Questions of Chester A. Arthur’s eligibility for the nation’s highest office surfaced during the 1880 campaign. Arthur was the son of an Irishman who emigrated first to Canada and the then to the United States, and who finally became a naturalized United States citizen in 1843, fifteen years after his son Arthur’s birth in 1829. Arthur’s mother was a United States citizen born in Vermont but whose family emigrated to Canada where she met and married her husband. According to Canadian witness, they had a single son, born in 1829. His parents had moved back to Vermont, but Arthur would later claim he was born in 1830, a fact that could not proven.
If the latter story is true, then Arthur was technically foreign-born, and in 1829, citizenship in such cases passed to the child only if the father was a United States citizen, and, of course, at this point Arthur’s father was still a citizen of the British Empire.
The principal advocate of the “born in Canada” theory was Arthur’s fellow New York lawyer Arthur P. Hinman who was hired in 1880 by the Democratic Party to investigate Arthur’s ancestry. Hinman discovered acquaintances of the Arthur family in Canada who told him the story of Arthur’s accidental Canadian birth. Convinced that he now had proof of Arthur’s foreign citizenship, he published his findings in 1884 in a short book entitled, How a Subject of the British Empire Became President of the United States. Hinman’s book appeared near the end of Arthur’s presidency, and no official action was ever taken on the basic of his alleged evidence.
Current evidence found by researches in the Library of Congress strongly support Hinman’s theory that Arthur was indeed born in Canada in 1829 and not in the USA in 1830.
So … what?
Well for one thing, Libby, this historical news reminds us that historians will dig up whatever is there to be found.
Obama and his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, will have a sordid, ineffectual, damaging and criminal legacy making the birther issue merely a side show.
You wish. Obama has started us, finally, down the road to universal health coverage. And we will be going down in human history as quite backward in this regard. The idea that the richest nation on this planet cannot afford such a thing is the very last word in selfishness and greed on the part of our twenty-percent.
I hear that Paul Ryan is reconsidering his options. Halle-fuckin-lujah. And, you know, I think the ER might just let this pass.
” The idea that the richest nation on this planet cannot afford such a thing is the very last word in selfishness and greed”
Universal healthcare is not good healthcare or equal healthcare and the only entity that is selfish and greedy is the government that rakes in the tax dollars, uses it on pet projects, and writes IOU’s to pay the bills, masively raising our debt!
Lord you are stooopid!
We were a rich nation when the private sector businesses and caring Americans created abundance and looked out for each other rather than relying on the cold, distant, bureaucrats in DC!
Forcing students to pay a higher interest on their loans to help pay for ObamaCare is the last word in selfishness and greed.
College Loans Subsidize Obamacare
Abby Coleman
07/02/2013
“Recent speeches by Tennessee Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander highlight a connection that has yet to be reported in the media and is yet to be understood by the young people struggling with high interest rates in the hopes of financing their college education.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, $8.7 billion of the money collected in student loan interest payments actually goes to pay for ObamaCare. The CBO estimates that the interest rate on these loans could be reduced from 6.8 percent to only 5.3 percent were the funds not used to subsidize the healthcare reform law and other federal programs.
The profits from student loans are divided as follows: $8.7 billion goes to pay for ObamaCare; $10.3 billion goes to pay down the federal debt; and $36 billion goes to Pell Scholarship grants.
The 16 million American students who now have student loans are paying for ObamaCare out of their meagre incomes just at the point when they graduate from college and need funds to start their lives, buy their first homes and begin a family.
Politically, how did the Republicans miss this issue in the last election? It is well to speak of fines that will be imposed on young people who don’t buy health insurance, but these penalties are in the future and still seem abstract to people in their teens and twenties. But student loan payments are a daily present reality, standing in the way of the rest of their lives. They, alone among forms of debt, are not dischargeable in bankruptcy and stain their credit reports forever if they are not paid.”

As Johnny Carson would have once said, “I did not know that.”

Only question today for people is are you into the world fascist ruled gov or not.
Birther? Will be like a horse and buggy if they continue this destruction of America.
When’s the last time you saw a USDA Label on your meat? Do you know what country the meat you eat came from? What is really n it?
Oh yea Canada ad Mexico sued us because the could be potentially loosing profits by meat labels. So we can not label the country of origin anymore. Ya call that sovernighty?
All they needed to say was potentially they could be loosing profits. We are currently being sued by transCanada for “Potential profits”. TPP put this on steroids.
Ya see Profits for the robber barons is all that matters.
DId you know citizens in the United States do not have the right to vote written in the Constitution?
Lock er down boyz the Party is Over!
“When’s the last time you saw a USDA Label on your meat?”
I can’t eat a label but here’s what I know about US meat production. From the US Meat Institute:
North Dakota State University – Food Law:
A portion of a 2008 law states:
You, my friend, are a conspiracy nut with serious money issues. That’s not to say we don’t have some serious trade problems to deal with. On the other hand, if our tax rates were lower, at least some of those problems might not be as troubling. There’s one way to find out…vote for Trump.
Citizens DO have “the right to vote written in the Constitution,” Dewey. It’s called the Fifteenth Amendment, adopted in 1870, which “guarantees the right to vote regardless of race, color or previous condition of servitude.”
It took decades of hard fight to create the reality on the ground but that’s because of certain people who resisted the law. The civil rights movement grew strong because of that resistance and because the nation was founded on the notion that ALL men are created equal.
The party isn’t over until the last man falls. You can’t bully the human spirit forever.
The tug of war continues.
From another American President, words to live (and vote) by–
“In the century opening, the play of the infinitely far-reaching forces and tendencies which go to make up our social system bids fair to be even fiercer in its activity than in the century which has just closed. If during this century the men of high and fine moral sense show themselves weaklings; if they possess only that cloistered virtue which shrinks shuddering from contact with the raw facts of actual life; if they dare not go down into the hurly-burly where the men of might contend for the mastery; if they stand aside from the pressure and conflict; then as surely as the sun rises and sets, all of our great material progress, all the multiplication of the physical agencies which tend for our comfort and enjoyment, will go for naught, and our civilization will become a brutal sham and mockery.
If we are to do as I believe we shall and will do, if we are to advance in broad humanity, in kindliness, in the spirit of brotherhood, exactly as we advance in our conquest over the hidden forces of nature, it must be by developing strength in virtue and virtue in strength, by breeding and training men who shall be both good and strong, both gentle and valiant men who scorn wrongdoing, and who at the same time have both the courage and the strength to strive mightily for the right.”
Theodore Roosevelt in 1903 at Carnegie Hall in New York.
