What Will Obama Do in DC?

Posted by Tina

According to information reported by the NY Post quite a lot of agitating…or rather, ahem, inspiring and directing a band of loyal activists:

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

He’s doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action. Normally you’d expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama’s OFA. Rather, it’s gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.

Since Donald Trump’s election, this little-known but well-funded protesting arm has beefed up staff and ramped up recruitment of young liberal activists, declaring on its website, “We’re not backing down.” Determined to salvage Obama’s legacy,”it’s drawing battle lines on immigration, ObamaCare, race relations and climate change.

Obama is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the group’s account. In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers following Trump’s upset victory.

“It is fine for everybody to feel stressed, sad, discouraged,” he said in a conference call from the White House. “But get over it.” He demanded they “move forward to protect what we’ve accomplished. … Now is the time for some organizing,” he said. “So don’t mope.”

OFA organized protests have occured all across the US and according to the article some turned into “riots.” OFA tax records show it is run by Obama’s aids and campaign workers with an army of 32,525 volunteers nationwide. OFA raised $40 million since “evolving from Obama’s campaign organization Obama for America in 2013.” Obama’s digs feature “a mansion, which he’s fortifying with construction of a tall brick perimeter…”

What? Obama is building a wall around the headquarters of his army?

Does anybody think this is unusual behavior for an ex-president?

Now that he is no longer constrained by the presidency, Obama will be flying his true colors. It has been said that Obama and his activism is the reason democrats have lost so may seats in government since the “historic” 2008 election. Will Obama get blowback from other Democrat leaders?

  1. dewster says:

Why in the world do you give 2 hoots about Obama?

fact is the majority of Americans are concerned about the Administration. It has nothing to do with his party.

fact is the an is unqualified and does not read what he signs. fact is he is doing business using the office. Melania as far as admitted she wanted to do the same.

    Party Politics is dead.

You can have your blinders on but I am sorry we have a major problem in the white house. His own staffers are leaking info. His mental stability is a serious question

So let’s get real. No one gets to dictate to the whole country.
party Politics is a futile proposition.
I will rail Obama if he continues corporatism, but also Trump when he is wrong.

    Talk Issues not identity politics.

Everybody who does not want to be dictated to by your ideology is an ememy to you?

We really need to separate the states. Let those who want to be dictated to by corporations live separate from those who want to be a gov for the people by the people.

This back and forth is the tool they use to take over the world.

Ant Democrat or Republican who follows the donors wishes over the general welfare of the people needs to go PERIOD

    • Tina says:

Define “the general welfare of the people.”

      He77, define “the people.”

As far as I can tell, from your perspective anyone who works on Wall Street, owns stocks or a pension, or has a business is disqualified. Anyone who owns or works at a big bank is disqualified. Anyone who associates with a political party is disqualified. In fact, anyone who doesn’t walk in lock step with your inane ramblings is disqualified.

But I’ll play, Mr. Smarty Pants…tell us, how are YOU going to fix the problem? What big ideas do you have?

Eliminating parties? What good would that do? Explain.

I say, “Ridiculous!” Within a few years we’d be right back where we started, with two main parties.

People have opinions about taxes, the economy, education, healthcare, the war, law and order, the border, crime, etc. They naturally associate with those who share their opinions. There are two basic ideas in American politics today. Do we want a big controlling bureaucracy in Washington that has control over everything in our lives or do we want a smaller, less intrusive, less costly federal government? Where you stand on these two basic ideas will impact and color how you think about all of the issues. There are two major choices…two major parties follow.

The states are already “separate.” It is conservatives that call for more power being vested in the people and the states and less in DC and yet you constantly, and wrongly, think of us as fascists! That ‘s just plain nuts!

What has been “dictated” that is a problem for you?

  2. J. Soden says:

Given the obstructionism in Clowngress by the Demwits, the absolute disarray of that party, I think Obumble narcissisticly sees himself as their “savior.”
The Demwits are STILL trying to find someone to blame for their stunning defeat last November since they are still behaving as they did BEFORE the election.
They haven’t learned a thing and continue to flail away at the voters who got sick and tired of their empty promises, lack of action and downright unethical and illegal behavior.

Anyone else wanna bet on the number of Demwit seats that will lose to a different party in 2018?

    • dewster says:

Obstruction? LOL They have not been united.

The obstruction the last 8 years started day 1.

At least the Demwits have said they will work with Trump.

LOL hypocrisy is the flavor here.

After 6 years of a Republican Congress obstructing everything you really think anyone will bite on this meme?

      • J. Soden says:

Poor Dewster. Living in a basement and being fed Moron Media talking points is not healthy. Perhaps you should come outta the basement and take a reality pill?
        Nah. Wouldn’t help.

Mr. Jack and Mrs. Tina, take a look at these gooberment scoolz debate champions…pretty awesome, huh?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmO-ziHU_D8

I wonder if Libby or Chryster (Chris, Bryan H. and Brewster) taught them these skills in their government school.

    • Tina says:

The topic was “Restricting the Presidents War Powers” and somehow N*66*s pain and suffering is relevant. Uh, uh,uh…say what?

      Participation trophy?

It’s not the kids fault. American schools are failing these kids! The local culture is failing these kids.

Parents need to demand better…and they need to remove those entrenched politicians that keep them in the dark and feed them the same ol’ BS.

  4. Peggy says:

The Organizer ex-Chief’s army is hitting all of the Republican’s town hall meetings and shutting them down with their protests chants. Jason Chaffetz left his meeting after an hour of not being able to answer a single question.

    Thought this was appropriate here.

    • Tina says:

      Good one Peggy!

Yep, Obama’s (and Hillary’s) minions will attempt all forms of agitation and bullying to prevent our side from exercising our rights of speech and assembly. I guess they think this makes them look good. Shouting people down has become their only avenue. They don’t have party unity anymore and they don’t have proposals on issues that the people want or care about most.

Enter Saul Alinsky and the smear and hate machine.

      • Peggy says:

Enter Barack Obama with his community organizing skills. He will use the Tea Party’s model of a grass roots movement by sending paid protestors to every Republican town hall meeting. They’re already appearing at different ones with their previous made signs to hand outs and leaders to shout down the Congress person.

Heard one upset guy on Hannity’s radio who had voted for Obama in 2008, not in 2012 when he became a Republican out of degust for the Dem party. The seats in the front of the meeting was filled with high school students. He said the language was so bad it was shocking. After he stood up to speak he was threatened and was verbally assaulted when he left the meeting. Now, he’s living in fear.

His major point was he’s mad as are the others who went to hear what their representative had to say. The Dems once again are out of touch with the people and their actions will be their undoing next election too.

All of those people who got involved during the Tea Party movement of 2009-2010 didn’t disappear when Obama turned the FBI loose on the different groups. The people were still there, they just went silent and underground. They didn’t respond to polls, but did show up at the voting booth to unseat over 1,000 Democrats nation wide.

With Obama’s help again Republicans could have a super majority in the House and Senate after the 2018 election. Let’s hope.

        • Tina says:

He will try to use our Tea Party model Peggy. the problem is he sees the Tea party through the hateful agitators eyes. that isn’t what the Tea Party was about. The Tea Party was made up of citizens that had a specific set of complaints that they wanted addressed. They willingly worked through the system and established opposition media.

Community organizers, as we’ve seen, are bent on destruction…personal destruction of the opposition leaders and spokespeople, destruction of property, destruction of civility and justice, destruction of the Constitution, and destruction of civility.

I doubt it will go over well in the long run, people are already fed up. I agree these destructive and violent acts will lead to greater gains for republicans in 2018.
