On the anniversary of the Brussels terrorist attack, a vehicle sped across Westminster bridge, striking a number of pedestrians, then it continued on to the gates of Parliament where it crashed and became disabled.
The sole occupant of the vehicle exited, armed with two long knives and attacked two unarmed police officers. One of the officers was stabbed to death and the second ran away to summon help from an armed officer.
A plainclothes officer responded quickly and shot the attacker dead with 3 shots to the chest. It was all over in a matter of minutes. The current death toll is 4, with at least 10 injured.
The man has not been identified, but he appears to be of Middle East decent. No further information is being released at this time by police, but informants say the man was a follower of Anton Chowdry, a radical Muslim cleric who has been imprisoned on terrorist related charges.
Serious bummer. Sometimes I wish the powers would warn us about these “anniversaries”, so we can keep an eye out. But I expect they are afraid that SOME of us will get hysterical, and shoot the milkman.
But Libby, if they were to warn us isn’t that really another form of prejudice against Muslims? Why single out Muslims when it comes to terrorist warnings? We must assume attacks could be coming from anyone, it could just as easily be a Pentecostal, a Shriner or a Girl Scout? I am disappointed in you Libs.

We could start with a July 1 Anniversary awareness alert of Kathryn Steinle who was randomly and needlessly slain in your sanctuary city by one of your protected criminals who also are illegal.

The figures I have are from June 2015: 48 people killed by white terrorists and 26 killed by radical Islamists.
“White terrorists” is a vague term.
Dylann Roof, for instance, expressed hatred of Jews and people of color. He shared the views of white supremacists. But as far as I know he had no ties to official groups or leaders of groups like the KKK or the skinheads. He was a very disturbed individual.
Your comparison is apples to oranges. I’m not saying these deaths are not as important. I am saying the way we address the problem of radical Islamic terrorism is different, it has to be different because of the intentions of the Islamists. If you were not so convinced that efforts to defeat this enemy derive from racism you might see things differently.

The question of the day? Why are so few, especially on the left, concerned about multiple murders in places like Chicago where the death toll on a weekly basis can be daunting? Surely people living in those neighborhoods feel terrorized on a constant basis. Most of the individuals involved in these murders ARE associated with organized groups, gangs. It seems to me that this would be closer to an apples to apples comparison.

Terrorism and holy war is nothing new in Islam, this has been going on for 14 centuries. Anyone who claims that radical Islam, terrorism, and violent jihadists are an aberration or perversion of Islam do not know what the hell they are talking about and are serving as useful idiots.
A peaceful interpretation of Islam and Jihad as an inner struggle is a modern phenomena that comes in one of two forms — sincere from those who truly seek Islamic reformation and a ruse from those who use gullible fools to further their ends.
