NATO Nations Begin to Meet Defense Obligations After Trump Exposes Negligence

Posted by Tina

A least two nations, Canada and Romania, have announced they will increase their budgets for defense following firm and resolute comments by President Trump about negligence with respect to NATO agreements and obligations. This is a positive outcome. When nations experience being a true partner in the effort they will be more likely to participate with confidence and resolve.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said the following in a Rose Garden press conference with the President:

“I was in Brussels, and I met President Trump. I listened to his speech, and I liked it, because you see NATO is based on values, but it is ultimately military alliance,” the Romanian president said. A reporter asked whether Iohannis thought it was fair that Trump encouraged NATO members to pay but also countries, including Romania, who had not paid two percent in the past to make up for that difference.

“And you know, military spendings are complicated, and you need a lot of money, because NATO is the strongest alliance the earth ever saw, and we wa [Watch] nt to keep it that way, so we have to spend money for defense purposes,” Iohannis said. “And spending money means if you’re in alliance, everybody has to spend money. This is called burden-sharing, and I fully agree, Mr. President, to that.

President Trump has shown tremendous leadership in his diplomatic travels and so far the result has been positive, although met with disdain by his detractors and at times adolescent whispering and giggles behind his back by Europe’s leaders.

Sorry to change the subject but it’s hard to believe there has been no investigation on this by the authorities. But if you are associated with the Clintons…

Interesting that ABC would air this. Had it been FOX I’m sure it would have been immediately “discredited.”

Speaking of FOX…and Podesta…FOX exposed Podesta’s undisclosed ties to a Russian company, including a whopping amount of money ($38Mil), when he was advising Obama and Hillary but his failure to disclose was never questioned.

There’s a definite sleaze factor that runs through the radical left leadership. If the smoke in ABC report ever becomes fire a lot of people will be toast, at least politically. (We can hope) Putting them where they belong, in jail, is another thing altogether. This bunch operates like the Mafia, another criminal group that was hard to prosecute. The ties to Dennis Hastert are especially intriguing. Guilty Republicans take a fall every time…not so on the left.

While this is shocking I’m not surprised it hasn’t received the attention it should. This investigative reporter will soon find himself in the same situation as Sharyl Attkisson if he continues to try and report the news based on facts and not biased liberal approved agendas.

You’re right Peggy. He’ll either fold like a lawn chair or be forced out. He seems an eager beaver but may not have the confidence Atkisson has.

Amazing what a little extra publicity will do!
A good start, and kudos to TheDonald for taking it public!
