President Trump has the support and admiration of tens of millions of American when he takes bold action to stop the White House leaks. Anthony Scaramucci, President Trump’s new communications director, announced moments ago he was given the power to take whatever action may be necessary, up to and including firing his entire press relations staff, in order to stop the leaks to the media.
If there is one thing democrats and republicans will agree on, it’s that nobody likes a rat. With very few exceptions, anyone who sells out his boss and his team while claiming loyalty is no good. His/her actions undermine the best efforts of the team elected to serve the people, not to mention threatening the employment of many loyal and patriotic people. Such a person has no character and has to go!
I practically cheered when I heard, “I’m going to fire everybody — that’s how,” Mr. Scaramucci told reporters in the White House driveway, when asked how he planned to identify who had been leaking to the press and ensure that the disclosures stopped. He said he had authority directly from Mr. Trump to do so.
“You’re either going to stop leaking, or you’re going to get fired,” he said.
Why to you keep insisting that it’s the reporting of the behavior, rather than the behavior itself, that is the problem.
This does not make any moral sense at all.

… even though it is attributed to a “cabinet level official”. Now, if indiscretions are being blurted at so very high a level, don’t you think it’s the indiscretions, and not the blurting, that is the problem?
The problem here does have exceptions and that’s why I said so early in the article. If the leaker had some high moral calling it might be understandable, if he was right. But, he has to be right and so far I’ve not seen anything except leaks designed to only embarrass Trump and undermine his presidency. Trump has not done a thing that was illegal and therefore the leaker should have kept the information quiet. I know he’s not done anything illegal because if he had the democrats would have a lynch mob outside the White House. What he has done is make some minor mistakes, said some overly blunt things and improperly used that twitter account, but he’s far from being the crazy maniac trying to destroy America that the dems want us to believe. So, my feeling is the man is being picked on relentlessly and the leakers are a bunch of lowly partisan rats who should be exposed and fired.

Libby, I read your link and some parts were ok, but this part was very discomforting, “White nationalist Iowa Congressman Steve King tweeted that Trump’s agenda would be “crippled”without the AG.” White nationalist? What’s with the blatant racism and fake labeling at Slatest.com? This kind of thing undermines the authors credibility.
Jack, that statement seemed extreme to me as well at first, but after doing a Google search it seems the shoe fits. King has peddled blatant white nationalist catchphrases such as “demographics are destiny,” “We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies,” and worst of all, asked what non-whites have ever done to contribute to civilization. It is discomforting that there is a white nationalist in Congress, but that’s where we are in 2017.

I think it’s worth asking why there are so many leakers under Trump. Has any other president had this many people under his leadership who have anonymously badmouthed him to the media behind his back? If not, what does that say about Trump’s leadership? Wouldn’t a better leader inspire more loyalty than this?
Of course, we know from his treatment of Sessions, among many others, that Trump has no loyalty to anyone else, and will sell out even his earliest and most ardent supporters if they have the audacity to, say, recuse themselves from an investigation that they are legally required to recuse themselves from.
That he will attempt to publicly humiliate anyone he isn’t fully satisfied with is old news at this point–we all saw his disgusting treatment of Cruz (ugly wife and dad might have killed JFK), McCain (not a war hero), Jeb (has to like illegal immigrants because his wife is Mexican, Fiorina (ugly face) and all the other Republican candidates during the primary. So why should any of his underlings give him loyalty when they know that will never be returned? Usually it’s an honor to serve the president–any president, of any party. But anyone who goes to work for Trump, at this point, is a sucker, and they should start counting down the days until Trump throws them under the bus too.
There were leaks during the Bush administration. Some leaks were particularly bad because they put our soldiers lives at risk. The Bush administration called the NYT one time and begged them not to publish. Of course they did anyway.
