We hear it all the time. Tolerance and appeasement are the anecdotes to address violent terror attacks. If that approach is promoted and practiced anywhere it’s in the progressive areas of California and it’s state run education centers. Their soft on terror posture excuses intolerant behavior of the ugliest kind. So it comes as no surprise that an Imam in Davis California preached that all Muslims would be called upon to “kill all of the Jews.” The Jerusalem Post reports:
In a July 21 lecture posted on the Davis Masjid YouTube channel, Muslim preacher Ammar Shahin spoke in English and Arabic about how all Muslims, not only Palestinians or Syrians, will be called upon to kill all the Jews on “the last day.”
In a video translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Shahin also stressed that the Hadith (oral tradition of sayings attributed to the prophet of Islam) does not say where the final battle will take place. “If it is in Palestine,” for example, “or another place,” hinting at the possibility that such a battle could happen in the United States or Europe as well. He also prayed that al-Aksa mosque be liberated from “the filth of the Jews.”
Progressives, including those who participate here, constantly rail against people they call “haters”…except when it comes to hateful Muslims…those who continuously and blatantly engage in hate both verbally and with violence and terror.
Explain please.
And you could have made this investigation yourself … but you did not.

Why did you not? … because irrational bigotry is more fun than reasoned inquiry?
Why should I. The Islamic Center memo says exactly what I would expect it to say. It includes lies…the same political lies that the left in America use when excusing violent acts against Israel and pretending terrorists organizations like Hamas, with their continuing hatred of Jews, aren’t responsible for the conflict.
Interfaith and community harmony…as long as Islam is considered the authority…the last word.
By what measure is Israel “occupying” Palestinian land?
By what measure does Israel have no authority concerning the Temple Mount? Times of Israel, “At the Temple Mount, it’s not about metal detectors, it’s about sovereignty – Abbas is calling for a return to the way things were before July 14’s deadly attack in which two Israeli cops were killed. The worshiper-protesters on the streets of the Old City have more ambitious goals”:
There has never been a nation called Palestine. During the Ottoman empire the land the Romans called Palestine was controlled by the Turks. But there is a religion called Islam and the people calling themselves Palestinians are taught that Jews are dogs that should be driven into the sea.
Breitbart is in Jerusalem and reports:
You are incredibly ignorant concerning Israel and the Jews, Libby, as are many American Jews (mostly secular) and leftist politicians. It is no secret that you align with enemies of America and Israel due to your progressive (commie) agenda. (This is one of the things that make the Russia Russia Russia witch hunt so hilarious). It’s no wonder you fall for these lame excuses and pretenses at apology.
You can bet that any Rabbi would be pilloried and condemned for saying anything similar. the double standard is obvious…the phony conviction of peace and tolerance is too.
“Interfaith and community harmony…as long as Islam is considered the authority…the last word.”
Tina, this is you reading into their communication something that is not there. You want it to be there, but it is not. This is you acting on prejudice, not fact, which would be your classic definition of bigotry.
In fact, by typing just 5 little letters into the Google I found:

One of your own … that four years ago reported just exactly what the beleaguered folk in Davis assert the organization is apparently still doing. But I could pull evidence till the moon went blue … you don’t see what’s on the page … you see what’s in your head.
“You want it to be there, but it is not.”
Really? So I am fabricating what comes out of their own mouths? “He also prayed that al-Aksa mosque be liberated from “the filth of the Jews.”
I repeat, “You can bet that any Rabbi would be pilloried and condemned for saying (praying) anything similar.”
If I talked about “the filth” of the Muslims you would have a point. As it is I simply post what has been said by some Muslims and you imagine I am “putting it there?”
You’re prejudiced, bigoted, and blind.
Games! You’re playing games, Libby. In this case it’s a very dangerous and stupid game. You deny things going on right under your nose…like the Germans did under Hitler. Europe is at it again:

Are you waiting for smoke from the ovens?
I inform you the lecture was 1) mistranslated and 2) quoted out of context … and you flatly refuse to consider it, just quote the mistranslated, out of context, stuff back at me.
That is not rational.
I inform you that the MEMRI has got a solid rep for that sort of thing, and you just quote the mistranslated, out of context, stuff back at me … and throw in a little hyperbole for good measure.
How can you think you are making any headway here?
You inform me?
No, you tell me what the radical, apologetic, appeasing left says. It’s not the same thing.
In fact it is only claimed that the content was mistranslated.
It is also a radical leftist claim that MEMRI mis-translates material and lies.
Saying it is not proof of it. This is what your side does when it can’t handle information that goes against your belief systems and agenda…you discredit the messenger. It’s automatic behavior.
“How can you think you are making any headway here?”
You’re right. I’m wasting my time with you. However…
You are not the only person who reads PS. I trust that our readers can decide for themselves. At least when I post the information they have a chance to consider both opinions and make more informed decisions.
Lets look at the evidence in terms of actual reputation. They are used by government around the world. Without groups like MEMRI, the West would be at a great disadvantage in meeting the challenges of hostilities and terror that radical Islam poses. They don’t wear uniforms or other identifying insignia…in fact they hide in plain sight. It’s up to us to weed the out.
Our readers will find information on the ongoing MEMRI programs here.
Also their board of directors and history illustrate how bigoted and biased opinions against them makes no sense at all:
Go head Libby, tell me how discredited this organization is now!
Remember when Obama appeased Osama bin Laden to death?
Tina, Libby is right. MEMRI is notorious for mistranslating Muslim officials.

You believe fake news.
No one denies that there are plenty of hateful imams in the world who use their holy book for violence, and when you pretend that your opponents deny this, it is only to create strawmen that are easier to knock down than our actual arguments. But given MEMRI’s history, there is absolutely no reason to believe their translation of this imam’s words. And no, his disagreement with Israeli policy is not enough to brand him an anti-Semite. You could be slandering an innocent person based on the words of noted liars, and you don’t even care.
