It’s interesting that we hear very little about this (if anything at all) in the press. If a Republican had entered into this agreement only to have North Korea develop and threaten the world with nuclear weapons we would be overrun with news stories about the failure of a GOP policy. And, if the agreement with Iran was also made by a Republican there would a multitude of stories about how that agreement was going to lead to disaster just like the North Korea agreement. But since both of these agreements were the work product of Democrats there will be no stories.
I have great respect for investigative journalism. It is very honorable to dedicate yourself to the task of exposing the truth. However, the investigative journalists of today are not performing their job with this goal in mind. The truth is not the focus anymore. I’m sure there are good people working in investigative journalism that would love to refocus the goal and report on the real truth but today it seems that to do so would be professional suicide. Let’s hope the forces that are at work that have made ideology more important than the truth eventually fail. An ideology that can’t afford the truth is a corrupt ideology.
Off topic, the California State Assembly wants to punish you with jail time if you use the wrong pronoun. Check out this story (and others on the net) concerning SB 219.
While I find it despicable to do anything that would make life more difficult for someone that is a resident in a health facility I think the idea of jail time for such an act is also despicable. How anyone interacts with residents in a health facility should be based on the policy of the health facility. If someone refuses to act within the guidelines of the health facility policy they should be fired, not put in jail. It appears to me that this is just a first step in making it illegal to use the wrong pronoun in all situations in California.
Using a pronoun based on someone’s actual gender instead of the gender they want to be may or may not be offensive but it is still a 1st Amendment issue. Whether you find it offensive or not the State has no business in this issue. Is this really a problem? Are there enough victims of improper pronoun usage to require a law to address this? This appears to be an bill to promote ideology and create division rather than a bill to prevent abuse of someone’s chosen pronoun.
1) I positively concede that our Leg has more than the usual percentage of nut-bunnies.
2) However, the percentage is still not high, and there is not a rat’s-ass, chance-in-hell of the thing becoming law.
3) What we need to talk about is Breitbart’s concerted efforts to twist yer knickers. You enjoy this? Is that the thing? Maybe you should get another hobby.
You know why nobody’s is posting on this? Because what difference would it make? … that’s why. We are here, and it is now, and the failures of the past may be informative, but are otherwise irrelevant. They certainly DO NOT mitigate or excuse, or anything else, the failures of the present.
Common Sense I think the media isn’t reporting this because its Bill and they are co-liberals with an agenda that transcends relevancy and facts. However, I see it completely different and very much needed for all to see.
The BS this US president fed us for years, is the same BS Obama fed us for years and its why we are here today trying to drain the freaking swamp. This big lie by Clinton is why his wife didn’t get elected and why we have a non-politician as a president. This is why very few of us trust anything that comes out of a politicians mouth, especially a liberal’s.
Preventing a county, any country, from developing nuclear weapons is impossible. Well, unless we completely destroy their infrastructure needed to complete the task. But then, as the saying goes, “If you break it you bought it.”
I remember when Bubba did this, and there were warnings from the Conservatives about exactly what NK has done.
But as usual, the warnings were ignored in favor of wishful thinking.
Bubba really deserves that bird guano-covered statue!
Clinton was — and is — a fool. For that matter, so was Bush 42 and that idiot who followed him.
A toxic fool above posts “You know why nobody’s is posting on this? Because what difference would it make? … that’s why. We are here, and it is now…”

At least Trump is not repeating the stupid mistakes of 18 decades of bad decisions from three former presidents. Will it make a difference? Only time will tell. NK just launched again.
“[G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House.”
Gorka’s tenure at the White House was marked by unusually vociferous attacks against him and his family by left-leaning media organizations and the Democratic Party. This includes personal attacks against his wife, mother, and son.
God, if that is not the left I have come to know and love, I don’t know what is.
So the racist, birther, cruel Sherrif Joe who has had several people die in his jails and was found guilty of criminal contempt was pardoned by Trump today.
Don’t you people ever use the phrase “rule of law” when describing your side again.
“[G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House.”
And outside too. It is being whispered about that there are only six holdouts against impeachment in the Senate. Six. But I have great faith in The Trump’s ability to sway them in the coming months. For instance, I hear The Trump intends to fly his entourage to Dallas tomorrow. You know, … this is not helpful behavior on his part, and no one is praising him for it.
As to the MAGA promise, The Trump has very stupidly, and stubbornly, equated it with the cause of white supremacy. Outside that happy band of white supremacists we allow to exist in this country, there is really very little support for this position … in this country, or around the world.
So the “promise” needs a new, and more honest, acronym: MAWA.
Why Houston Flooding Isn’t a Sign of Climate Change:
August 28th, 2017 by Roy W. Spencer, Ph. D.
“[Editor’s note: Please continue to pray for the millions of people in Texas and elsewhere suffering seriously from the tremendous flooding brought by Hurricane Harvey. At the same time, don’t be led astray by claims that it’s caused by human-induced global warming. Cornwall Alliance Senior Fellow Dr. Roy W. Spencer, a NASA and University of Alabama climate scientist, explains why it isn’t in this article on our blog.]
In the context of climate change, is what we are seeing in Houston a new level of disaster which is becoming more common?
The flood disaster unfolding in Houston is certainly very unusual. But so are other natural weather disasters, which have always occurred and always will occur.
Floods aren’t just due to weather
Major floods are difficult to compare throughout history because of the ways in which we alter the landscape. For example, as cities like Houston expand over the years, soil is covered up by roads, parking lots, and buildings, with water rapidly draining off rather than soaking into the soil. The population of Houston is now ten times what it was in the 1920s. The Houston metroplex area has expanded greatly and the water drainage is basically in the direction of downtown Houston.
There have been many flood disasters in the Houston area, even dating to the mid-1800s when the population was very low. In December of 1935 a massive flood occurred in the downtown area as the water level height measured at Buffalo Bayou in Houston topped out at 54.4 feet.
By way of comparison, as of 6:30 a.m. this (Monday) morning, the water level in the same location is at 38 feet, which is still 16 feet lower than in 1935. I’m sure that will continue to rise.”
It’s interesting that we hear very little about this (if anything at all) in the press. If a Republican had entered into this agreement only to have North Korea develop and threaten the world with nuclear weapons we would be overrun with news stories about the failure of a GOP policy. Hi M’dear Libby, I have a question. When you said, “What difference would it make?” Were you just mocking Hillary’s famous Benghazi quote? lol

Jack, the media is not reporting it cause it happened 30 years ago.
The media isn’t reporting on it because it’s about Clinton, not because it was 30 years ago.
Nixon was president almost 45 years ago, and guess what, there are pages on the internet comparing him to Trump.

Maybe if the press was reporting on how much Clinton’s treaty with North Korea had failed we wouldn’t be making exactly the same mistake with Iran!

Clinton’s and Bush’s are part of this coup.
No respect for either family. Think about it this was designed to be another Bush or Clinton presidency. The people did not fall for it.
