Deadly Murder in Texas Church – Heartless Opportunistic Democrats Immediately Politicize as More than Twenty Lay Dead and Others Are Wounded.

Posted by Tina

The shooter is described as a 26 year old white male wearing full body black tactical gear who fled the scene in his vehicle and was later killed, either by authorities who chased him down or by a self inflicted gunshot wound. It’s been reported that more than twenty people are dead and twenty more wounded, including children. The police have not attempted to speculate over motive as yet.

Just in…Texas Rangers: Armed Citizen ‘Engaged’ Killer, Ending Rampage – ‘A local resident grabbed his rifle and engaged that suspect’:

Freeman Martin, a major in the Texas Rangers and a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says the suspect dropped his rifle and fled after being confronted by a local man who had grabbed his rifle.

Even before the bodies had grown cold or the ambulances had taken the wounded to the hospital Democrats called for gun control, slammed the NRA, and acted the part of idiot agitator.

The killer is to blame…and it never hurts to remind that a culture that fails to respect morality and the rule of law has done nothing to positively support a growing young man to develop into a moral, law abiding citizen…just the opposite!

  1. Harold says:

‘The killer is to blame’ what a novel concept, put blame on the animal who perpetrate the crime not the tools used.

What else could have been done, drive a truck thru the Church or parking lot where people gather.
    or
Place a bomb in the church and remotely explode it?
    or
Just go wild with a edged weapon.
    however
to be stopped by a equally armed law abiding citizen and driving the killer away before more carnage, Yes ‘The killer is to blame’ and it all goes back to that person and their intentions to achieve this type of needleless carnage.

And now the anti gun control wailers are howling once more, but isn’t that what Chuck Schumer just a accused Trump of doing in politicizing a recent tragedy in New York, what a bunch of self serving hypocrites liberals support, much like Clinton and her cash.

Good points Harold! The church and everyone in it could have been destroyed for about $15 in explosives, so the method or the tool is not what matters most here, as Harold has told us. But, adding on to what Harold was saying, what does matter is our mental health system, the courts and police. How can we let them do the best job possible so they can reduce the number of potential killers?

The problem to be solved is not easy, but it’s painfully becoming necessary.

Liberals want to take the easy way out and ban guns, that’s the stock liberal answer to everything. Ban it! But, its not that simple. The real problem, the one that may be too hard for liberals to comprehend is, how do we flag dangerous mentally ill people…how do we intercede…how do we keep them away from weapons… before they commit a crime? How do we (healthcare pros and police) recognize the severely mentally ill that could be a grave danger to themselves and others and then take reasonable steps to insure our safety without trampling on the US Constitution?

Clearly, a law that forbids people who have been found mentally ill is a good start. But, we already have that law across the nation and it has barely done a thing. Why? Because without companion laws that allow police and medical professionals the ability to intercede when they come across a person that poses a danger, because of their current mental state, their past or present threats to do violence, etc, then we’ve only done half our work.

Let’s be real, even if we had every tool necessary to prevent crazy people from killing people we will never stop them all. They will use a gun, a bomb, a truck who knows what, but some of them will succeed. This is the high price of freedom. But, this is where you come in, the every day citizen. We all have some responsibility to our fellow man if we are caring, loving, sensible and courageous people. You the law abiding, you the perfectly sane person, you might have been that citizen in the right place at the right time and fully able to save lives, if you chose too! Let me explain…

Imagine Y-O-U are in the area of a violent assault on masses of innocent people. Now imagine you (a person with sound judgement) have a weapon, lets say a pistol. If you had the courage, you might have been able to stop the killer. You could have made a big difference if you had been authorized to carry a concealed weapon. Being authorized by law means you have had specialized training, been tested, backgrounded and deemed competent.

The liberals would rather you be unarmed, a helpless bi-stander or worse, a victim. In that case we’ll never know what you might have done because you will have been made helpless by the State.

  2. Pete says:

Hey! No discussions about guns or our obsession with them. Not until a reasonable amount of time has passed since the latest mass murders.

    • Post Scripts says:

      Pete… huh?

    • Tina says:

Pete, from where does the idea that Americans are “obsessed” with guns derive? Where is the evidence that there is an obsession?

This is one of those talking points that is never challenged or even given any serious thought.

I don’t see obsession. I do see passion. There is passion about defending the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. There is passion about the main purpose of that right which is to defend against tyrannical government. There is passion about having the means to defend ourselves and our homes. There is passion about the civic responsibility to defend our neighbors and associates if we have the tools and training to do so. There are people who passionately collect guns, build guns, or use guns as a hobby or to provide for the family. There is passion among those who are involved with the NRA to educate people about safety, handling, and storage.

I’d like to know why the left is so obsessed with removing guns from private hands. We know it doesn’t stop criminals from obtaining guns or killing if that’s what they are determined to do. Historically gun confiscation (and that’s the real aim) is not about preventing citizens from defending against killers but preventing citizens from defending their freedoms against an overbearing government. The first thing tyrants do is remove guns from the civilian population so that power and control cannot be challenged. Our founders knew first hand the importance of the citizens’ right to keep and bear arms.

It makes more sense to concentrate energies on the state of our culture and the ways in which we treat mental illness and instability. It makes more sense to concentrate “blame” on the person responsible rather than the inanimate object he chose to carry out his evil deed.

  3. J. Soden says:

Right off the bat Obumble came out with a statement in favor of more gun control – which was to be expected.
Until he gives up his armed Secret Service protection, his gun control comments are as worthless as he is.

  4. Pie Guevara says:

I am sure we could all count on drive-by “Pete” for a “reasonable discussion.”

(But I won’t hold my breath.)

  5. Pete says:

Okay, Americans aren’t obsessed with guns. We just like them a lot. I used to think that our country could solve any problem, but I’ve come to the conclusion that we don’t care about mass shootings so I guess there’s no problem. These weapons are doing exactly what they are designed to do and we like them. I feel as a gun owner, hunter, and target shooter that these high powered, multi round, rapid fire weapons have no place in a civilized society.

  6. Tina says:

So Pete, you’ve become a cynic?

I think that happens when people’s expectations are at impossible highs.

We humans are not perfect…none of us is perfect…not one (save, if you’re a Christian, Jesus). It’s an unreasonable expectation that terrible things can be prevented. It’s just not possible. When you accept that, the cynicism factor melts away.

Next, a society is only as civilized as it’s least civilized citizen. There are elements in our society that work against the things that help to keep societies civilized. They work against faith in God, they feed divisions, they deride traditional morality, they make rules up according to the latest trend, they celebrate depravity and deride self-discipline and civil comportment, they blame shift…they have no respect for the least among us, the unborn child.

Our society has been taking massive hits for several decades. Massive deaths can be attributed to drug abuse, domestic violence, drive by and gang violence, abortions, and senseless homelessness…these are the things that nobody seems to mind.

There is a place in our society for “high powered, multi round, rapid fire weapons.” It is that place written about when the founders were envisioning the Second Amendment:

…the Bill of Rights sought to balance not just political power, but also military power, between the people, the states and the nation, as Alexander Hamilton explained in 1788:

[I]f circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude[, ] that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little, if at all, inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow-citizens.

Our military is a formidable body and well armed on a moments notice. So today, “high powered, multi round, rapid fire weapons” are entirely appropriate for the defense of our freedoms…for the balance of power.

I don’t know how old you are Pete but it sure seems you’ve been deprived of adequate understanding of your Constitutional rights. Our educational system is failing us.
