Challenging Maxine in CA

Posted by Tina

Looks like a Republican in California, Omar Navarro, is up to the task of challenging Maxine Waters for her House seat next year. Navarro has plenty of grass roots supporters but he’s also won the support of a number of high profile backers:

names like Roger Stone, who serves as Navarro’s campaign advisor; former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who calls him on a weekly basis; TV host Alex Jones; former Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones; former Presidential candidate Herman Cain; former Arizona Congressman Barry Goldwater, Jr.; singer and songwriter Joy Villa; “Swamp People” case member T-Roy Broussard; and American radio host Larry Elder, among others.

Navarro is running in a “…majority Latino and African-American district in southern Los Angeles.” The district is 60% Democrat. the question is how many of them have been poorly served over the past 37 years by Maxine Waters? How many have been embarassed by the ethics problems and policy failures by leaders of their party? How many have decided to give the other party a chance? What have they got to lose?

Maxine Waters is one of the most radical socialist in Congress. Her ethical record is pretty bad. The article in National Review counts the ways…a few highlights:

…Waters has spent 37 years in office — many of those years as head of the Congressional Black Caucus — promising to make life better for constituents in economically ravaged South Central Los Angeles. What do the denizens of her district have to show for it? Staggering levels of persistent unemployment, poverty, and gang violence

…she walked away with a slap on the wrist from the toothless House Ethics Committee in 2012 after being charged with multiple ethics violations related to her meddling in minority-owned OneUnited Bank … Her husband, Sidney, was an investor in one of the banks that merged into OneUnited. As stockholders, they profited handsomely from their relationship with the bank. It was a mutually beneficial relationship. After Waters’s office personally intervened and lobbied the Treasury Department in 2008, OneUnited received $12 million in federal TARP bailout money — despite another government agency concluding that the bank operated “without effective underwriting standards” and engaged “in speculative investment practices.” After the federal bailout of Fannie/Freddie, OneUnited’s stock in the government-sponsored enterprises plunged to a value estimated at less than $5 million. Only through Waters’s intervention was OneUnited able to secure an emergency meeting with the Treasury and then-Secretary Henry Paulson… (emphasis mine)

Waters was also deemed the “Most Corrupt member of Congress” five times (2005, 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2017) by the left-wing “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics” in Washington DC. Unseating her in the House would be a long overdue improvement.

Drain the swamp…I wish Mr. Navarro well in his challenge. We need new blood in our Congress.

Looks like because of Trump’s leadership and his willingness to fight back, unlike past republican presidents for the last 50 years, more republican warriors are willing to step forward and join the war to save our country.

Here’s today’s best article. War isn’t pretty, but sometime necessary.

    He Fights:

“My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” Here’s my answer:

We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same.

This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.

I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party. I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks. I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent. Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.”

Excellent article Peggy. We’ve been launching that balloon for years but this is the first time it seems like it has enough helium to give it lift!

I hate to say it but I think we’ve also been given a boost by radical feminist. Their plan to get rid of right wing news threats, and then Trump, is backfiring nicely.

Another big left media guy fell today, Matt Lauer. (see list at link)

Three straight quarters of growth at 3% or higher, and the jobs and prosperity that come with it, will ultimately beat all of this bad behavior.

I believe Trump supports who voted for him and those who converted to his side after the election see in him a fighter, unlike every republican candidate and president back to but not including Reagan. As the article’s writer points out the democrats have become experts of using Alinsky’s rules and don’t know how to deal with Trump when he turns the table and uses Alinsky’s rules right back at them.

They’ve used the womanizer, cheating on wives, misogynist against Herman Cain, Ted Cruz and even Mitt Romney with his “binder of women” that held resumes for possible employment positions. Yet, Bill Clinton with his little black books of women is an icon sharing the same pedestal with “Lion of the Senate” and unpunished murderer Ted Kennedy.

I believe the sexual harassment house of cards collapsing started with Trump fighting back against the allegations made by all of those women prior to the election, What ever happened to them all anyway? Why did they disappear and not pursue the claims against him? Weren’t the charges against a candidate not as important as those of a sitting president? A real mystery or was the con exposed?

Heard the last quarter’s GDP was raised today to 3.3% from 3%. Now that’s awesome news. Also read that Chico’s and Redding’s unemployment rate was at it’s lowest since 2000, with a 4.1% for one and I forget the other.

The democrats undoing will be they believe they are the smartest ones in the room and everyone else needs them to run their lives and tell them what to do. When the truth is the exact opposite. Adults do not like being treated like children and will revolt against those who try.

The saying, “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time,” comes to mind today. The gig is up for democrats.

Peggy, I like your analysis about the belief the democrats hold of themselves, However I would say Democrats are capable of intelligence, but only to the degree they only apply it toward their specific needs, and use it to manipulate that portion of voters that are Government dependent, generation after generation!

They seek out Government subsidized dependent voters and pander to those voters in a attempt to hold political power. I surmise they do this in a attempt to reverse Americas capitalist foundation to a multi-failed socialist system, (short of actual communist) to facilitate their goals. One where only a few truly benefit from rule.

Currently their use of any Alinsky strategy by digging in their heels (and they are) and becoming a useless party of defiance, useless in the sense they don’t provide any benefit of being in office for anyone ,including their core base.

As America recovers from the 8 years of decline caused by the Obama administration, where rising debt was a possible goal to bring down Americas world leadership, down to a level of other failed socialist counties, I feel Americans are seeing the benefits of leadership that comes from a different perspective. Leadership, that given a chance to work, (with all sides contributing) will reveal how overly privileged politicians are only in it for themselves and the rest of us can “kiss the royal behinds.

I.E. Do you or I have a private fund comprised of Tax dollars to cover our social mistakes, or are we held harmless for bad decisions, (In just California, Oroville dam speaks to lack of concern by politicians for people, by averting infrastructure and diverting tax funds for god knows what!) and what about providing themselves with a lifelong paycheck and benefits for basically doing nothing for the people, and just campaigning for office, (yes they do have a part time responsibility to be at their office, based on archaic needs)while building their own wealth by staying in office.

Trump is slowly exposing these faults in politics, and pouring salt on those wounds of public mistrust. He may not be the most polished President, but he is what America needed at this point, with his complete indifference to the current system of corruption, layered by years of self serving political office misuse.

It would be good if some of that Trumpiness could bleed into California…I’m dreaming, I know, but I have to believe that at some point a lot of the PC culture will be left behind. That in and of itself would create space for improvement.
