Bingo! Trump is President! (Duh-uh)

There are many attitudes and emotions that drive the left; this one is front and center. A very good read, just in case you missed it.

But this outta scare the bleep out of them: “Howard Root: Live from Duluth”

When I arrived at 4:00 p.m., the line for admission was at least a half mile long. People had been lining up since before 10:00 a.m., with the line snaking through a glass skyway where the afternoon sun had raised the temperature to over 100. I’ve seen shorter lines for Springsteen tickets, yet everyone was exceptionally polite.

I only saw one protester on the walk over. He was standing on the street corner with his two small children and yelling “F*** Trump” as everyone walked past. On the way back to the car after the event I only saw three scraggly protesters trying to incite the crowd, to no avail other than getting detained by the police officers. I never saw the protest march or talk with anyone who saw it.

At least 25 percent of the audience was under the age of 30, and around 40 percent were women. The senior citizen percentage was less than 10 percent — the lowest I’ve ever seen at a Republican event. Other than the hundred or so party leaders, this was a vastly different crowd from the Minnesota Republican Convention that I attended in Duluth three weeks ago. None of the attendees I spoke with in the concession line at the rally were politically active (other than voting) and none were born-and-bred Republicans.

The crowd was “10,000 strong.” I read elsewhere that the venue had to be upgraded to accommodate everyone who wanted to attend.

That was last night. Today, as you know, Trump temporarily altered the law requiring separation of children from their parents in certain circumstances at the border through an executive order. He’s asked the military for help make appropriate accommodations and, once again, reminded Congress of their obligation to fix the problem with legislation. Well…the media flipped out tripping all over themselves all day as they shifted the focus of their unrelenting attack. “End your zero tolerance policy,” they demanded, apparently unaware they were asking the President to operate in defiance of the law.

Unaware also that the one man they praised as brilliant and treated as compassionate, Barack Obama, had explained the situation to them at least 22 times. Let’s try number four:

“[T]here are those in the immigrants’ rights community who have argued passionately that we should simply provide those who are [here] illegally with legal status, or at least ignore the laws on the books and put an end to deportation until we have better laws. … I believe such an indiscriminate approach would be both unwise and unfair. It would suggest to those thinking about coming here illegally that there will be no repercussions for such a decision. And this could lead to a surge in more illegal immigration. And it would also ignore the millions of people around the world who are waiting in line to come here legally. Ultimately, our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable.”

Also gone from their memory banks is the You Tube Video featuring children with a poster that reads, “Obama don’t separate me from my Mommy.”

Trump is the president, a problem solver that the sore loser left just can’t abide. They want to force him to do things their way…such autocratic control freaks…acting like dictators. Good luck with that.

Trumps goals, once achieved, make life in America better. We all know that through our own experiences.
