HOW HARD when men have risen from lowly slave to NFL star…and more…Justice of the Supreme Court…President!
HOW HARD, when you consider everything America has suffered, endured, overcome, and accomplished over the course of her short history and in the name of equality and God given rights.
The first important step was made by the Founders who formally declared our independence with the intent to live under God’s command that all people are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
Heated debates in Congress and a bloody Civil War cost our nation dearly in blood, treasure and human suffering. Battles to overcome old prejudices pressed the people of this nation onward toward living by the standards of our founding. Opportunity opened in many parts of the country, the military took a stand, and more battles in Congress culminated in the Martin Luther King era that crushed the last vestiges of the KKK and the oppression of Southern Democrats and Northern elites.
Onward we forged as a nation and minorities found acceptance and inclusion in schools and universities, the work force, entertainment, sports, television, commercials and ads, in medicine, the law, banking, business…and in the field of creative entrepreneurship. Yes, minority Americans have pursued happiness and succeeded, some of them spectacularly!
America does live up to that moral standard created in The Declaration of Independence…and Americans are damn tired of being told we don’t!
Perfect we are not, nor will we ever be! People are not perfect beings. The divisive problems present today are social and individual problems. Many have been generated through social and political propaganda and promoted by activist groups whose mission is to create anger, division, and strife…to create chaos and a sense of hopelessness.
These problems can only be addressed by individuals and local communities.
Recently Nike brand chose to use as it’s spokesperson a disgruntled man that has declared his allegiance to activism, a man that denigrates and demeans our nation’s police officers, military, and flag. Last week certain credit card companies refused to process donations to the David Horowitz Freedom Center. This week Levi brand has teamed up with Bloomberg to fund anti-gun rights groups.
Lines are being drawn ever more brightly prior to the coming election cycle. The people, as always, will have the final word. It’s a free country, after all!

America is a wonderful country. Proud Americans believe in our country and the founding principles of equality, equal justice, and God given rights. You can make assertions all you want, it doesn’t make what you say true. Trump has demonstrated his management skills openly in meetings with leadership in Congress, with large and small business entities, with security officials and in international meetings. Presidents don’t “manage” the staff’s underlings…not his job.
Did you know that a NYT anonymously sourced story in the past was investigated? Guess what they discovered! An obscure intern was the so-called high level source of the leaked information.

You are trying to compare apples and oranges, Tina. Informing STAFF that they will be sacked if they leak confidential information is NOT the same as threatening to charge JOURNALISTS with treason and have them jailed.
These are two completely different categories. Staff, by accepting employment, agree to abide by company rules. A journalist’s job is to do no such thing. You know, you do this a lot.
It’s interesting, in fact, that the O-Man was able to enforce his strictures by the force of his character, but The Donald’s “character” motivates his staff to sneak around behind his back … big time.

We’ll never know what America would be today if the KKK, the Dem’s military army, hadn’t killed and intimidated black republicans and their supporters during Reconstruction.
If only our schools were teaching the truth about Blacks being suppressed by democrats the party would not exist today. And all Blacks would have continued to gain equality as many had after the Civil War, which was fought and won for them.

Also, a reminder to democrats, the first black elected and seated to congress was a republican. “In May 1874 he became the first African American representative to preside over a House session.”

Peggy education is one of the most important fronts in our battle to MAGA! Our kids have been poorly served and are all too often unprepared for adult life. Democratic SuperPAC Files ‘Perjury Charges’ Against Brett Kavanaugh. There’s Just One BIG Problem.
Well, okay, there are at least two big problems.
A group calling itself “The Democratic Coalition” “filed” what they called “perjury charges” with the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, Saturday, claiming that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh committed perjury in his Senate confirmation hearings.
They were very excited about the charges, and even added that they planned to take the case directly to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, where it would be heard by none other than former Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.
There are a few problems. For starters, one can’t simply “file” perjury charges: that’s the U.S. government’s job in cases where someone may have intentionally lied under oath in a federal hearing. The U.S. attorney general typically does not follow up on random complaints lodged with its fax machine during off hours and over weekends by issuing a warrant for the subject’s immediate arrest and detention.
Then, there’s the matter of Merrick Garland. He’s a court of appeals judge, which means he won’t be hearing an immediate plea to censure Kavanaugh for what The Democratic Coalition calls “ethical violations.” Those would need to be filed with the body that holds Kavanaugh’s law license, not a United States District Court, and certainly not a court that only takes cases up on appeal from an earlier judicial decision.
So, basically, The Democratic Coalition filed their groundbreaking perjury claim … with Twitter. Which … okay.
