The following is the most recent data I could find on CA fiscal health. The last report we ranked 42nd out of 50 states for fiscal health. We would be in last place and bankrupt if it were not for the tax money generated by Silicon Valley. They can’t keep us afloat forever and we’re already the most taxed of all the other states…where can we go with that?
California owes more than it owns. |
California has a -$22,000 Taxpayer Burden.™ |
California is a Sinkhole State without enough assets to cover its debt. |
Elected officials have created a Taxpayer Burden™, which is each taxpayer’s share of state bills after its available assets have been tapped. |
TIA’s Taxpayer Burden™ measurement incorporates both assets and liabilities, not just pension debt. |
California only has $100.1 billion of assets available to pay bills totaling $369.9 billion. |
Because California doesn’t have enough money to pay its bills, it has a $269.9 billion financial hole. To fill it, each California taxpayer would have to send $22,000 to the state. |
California’s reported net position is inflated by $16.7 billion, largely because the state defers recognizing losses incurred when the net pension liability increases. |
Despite a recently implemented accounting standard meant to increase transparency, California still excludes $5.4 billion of pension debt from its balance sheet. In addition, the state is still hiding $58.4 billion of its retiree health care debt. A new accounting standard will be implemented in the 2018 fiscal year which will require states to report this debt on the balance sheet. |
The state’s financial report was released 264 days after its fiscal year end, which is considered untimely according to the 180 day standard. |
The direct result of Demwit control of the Lunkhead Legislature for decades. I see no real solution for Taxifornia – unfortunately for the residents!
Limbaugh: Here’s Why Trump Should Start Going To California:
https://www.dailywire.com/news/48286/limbaugh-heres-why-trump-should-start-going-james-barrett?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=dwbrand&fbclid=IwAR02byApG5nvTQn3Bk4I1Y1rV8t7wOvMELMOh-Eon-9AJvWW93nCXha4UkE
Peggy, I agree. The GOP should spend a lot of time here pointing out our problems to the rest of the nation, that this is what happens when democrats control everything. Look at CA people – you want to be like them?! Make it a documentary, tell everyone about the high taxes and the corruption. We should be show casing our crumbling bridges and potholed freeways for all to see. We should show the nation the piles of poop on the sidewalks and streets in San Francisco, the tens of thousands of vagrants there and across this state. The nation should see once thriving communities that are now ghettos, a gangland for thugs, show em the failing schools, the crime, this is should scare the H – – out of people elsewhere.
Funny you should mention sharing what’s going on here with those in other states. I’m friends on FB with people back east, Texas, Idaho, AZ, Nevada, etc. When a topic comes up I post what is going on here with our state and in Chico. The Butte county fire, crime and accident FB page is filled with everything from women walking down the street naked, guys pooping, stabbings, etc. Daily, there’s a never ending supply to share of the cesspool Dems have turned the Golden State into the Crap Filled state.
When you post things on someone else’s page all of the people who are friends with them see your post too. I get comments from people I don’t know from all over. One of my PA friends has hundred of friends. Sometimes even when they share my post I get a notice that they did. So, in a small way I’m getting the warring out there. If it helps, we’ll know in 2020.
Peggy, I try to get the word out that way too. PS gets 30,000 hits a month, so I know we’re getting noticed.
Alas …

… but should they have made a point of the hair? I suppose if we can torment the orange-haired one, we have to allow this.
Libs, but what are his major qualifications? Trumps got a fiscal track record now, but what’s Newsome got? Can’t point to the clean streets of San Francisco. Can’t run on his personal integrity. Can’t run on his homeless solutions. Can’t run on his military record. Can’t run on anything in CA government because he hasn’t done anything yet. So what’s left, hmmm…just the hair? Not enough, well, in CA it is, but outside this nut state it won’t be. Oh, oh, I know one…almost forgot! He’s going to sign into law a bill that prevents the removal those broken down old RV’s in your neighborhood, parked all over the street, taking up scarce parking, trashing the area, – no more 72 hour removal law. Guess that won’t impress national voters that much, will it? Does it impress you? Are ya happy there will be no forced removal of the old RV’s, currently home to junkies, bums and criminal types. When they dump the waste from their holding tanks into the gutter, can you smell it from your place? Just curious.
“Trumps got a fiscal track record now, ….”
Are you freakin’ insane !!!!! I keep forgetting how very limited is your field of vision:

If, and then … Trump will have a fiscal track record. Right now, he’s benefiting from somebody else’s work. It’s the story of the man’s life.
Geez !
Good read.
Orwell Explains How Socialists Alter Language to Alter History:

Orwell was a socialist.
Hi Chris
Good for George. Do you think he’d approve of California today?
I don’t know. I don’t care. The headline Peggy quoted was a lie, and I care about the truth. You do not.
I’ll make you a deal, teacher. You apologize for calling me a liar, and I won’t say anything about you being a card-carrying NEA hack in the business of corrupting another generation of students.
I didn’t call you a liar. I said you didn’t care about the truth, which you had just proven in your response.
Orwell was a socialist. He was not “explaining how socialists alter language,” because he was a socialist, and his enemies were fascists and communists, which are not the same thing. Peggy’s shared headline was a lie.
If you cared about the truth, you would not have deflected to an irrelevant question about California.
This is obvious, which is why instead of rebutting it, you once again tried to deflect to a personal attack on my teaching abilities, which you know nothing about.
Deflection is all you have.
Do better.
You can’t care about the truth when you don’t know what it is. The title I posted is accurate and validated by your comment and others educated by our failed and biased educational system.
Facts:
-Democrats were the party of slavery.
-The Civil War was fought because southern democrats to preserve slavery and northern republicans to free them.
-Not a single democrat voted to approve the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendment.
-KKK all members were democrats.
-Jim Crow laws written and approved by democrats.
-Segregation supported by democrats.
-George Wallace was a democrat.
-Eisenhower started desegregation in 1957.
-LBJ was a huge racist who used negros to gain votes resulting in the destruction of their families.
These are just a few example of your hate filled racist party. Rewriting of history doesn’t alter the facts. It just hides the truth to misinform voters to maintain power over them.
Executive Order 10730: Desegregation of Central High School (1957):
https://www.ourdocuments.gov/doc.php?flash=false&doc=89
The Democratic Party’s Two-Facedness of Race Relations:
“LBJ was an awful man. He only promoted and signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 1965 Voting Rights Act because he thought it was politically expedient. He disagreed violently and kept it a secret, something I think is unreservedly detestable. Or is it a common politician’s disease?
Let’s look at another quote attributed to “Great Society & Civil Rights Hero” LBJ:
“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don’t move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there’ll be no way of stopping them, we’ll lose the filibuster and there’ll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It’ll be Reconstruction all over again.”
Could this be the type of man — it was whispered — who had his boss killed to get his job?
Here are more devastating quotes from the ‘party that cares’ (or pretends to care, to deceive voters):
“Mr. President, the crime of lynching . . . is not of sufficient importance to justify this legislation.”
— Sen. Claude Pepper (D., Fla.), 1938, spoken during a six-hour speech against the anti-lynching bill
“I am a former Kleagle [recruiter] of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County . . . The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia. It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state in the union.”
— Robert C. Byrd, 1946, Democratic Senator from West Virginia, 1959-2010, Senate Majority Leader, 1977-80 and 1987-88, Senate President Pro Tempore, 1989-95, 2001-03, 2007-2010
President Truman’s civil rights program “is a farce and a sham—an effort to set up a police state in the guise of liberty. I am opposed to that program. I have voted against the so-called poll tax repeal bill … I have voted against the so-called anti-lynching bill.”
— Rep. Lyndon B. Johnson (D., Texas), 1948, U.S. Senator, 1949-61, Senate Majority Leader, 1955-61, President, 1963-69
“I did not lie awake at night worrying about the problems of Negroes.”
— Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, 1961.
(Kennedy later authorized wire-tapping the phones and bugging the hotel rooms of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.)
“Everybody likes to go to Geneva. I used to do it for the Law of the Sea conferences and you’d find these potentates from down in Africa, you know, rather than eating each other, they’d just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva.”
— Sen. Ernest F. Hollings (D., S.C.) 1993, Chairman, Commerce Committee, 1987-95 and 2001-03, candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, 1984
“I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Robert C. Byrd, a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter] that he would have been a great senator at any moment . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation.”
— Sen. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), 2004, Chairman, Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, 2008
To add insult to injury for African-Americans, Bill Clinton, the absurdly-titled, “First Black President,” was apparently not as big a supporter of black Americans as his esteemed title would imply. In his book, Ron Brown’s Body, Jack Cashill first refers to Clinton’s White House as a place where “minorities,” such as Brown, “were not only exploitable but expendable.”
My final quote on race hypocrisy comes from our current President, Barack Hussein Obama:
From Dreams of My Father: “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”
These quotes from Dems are why minority voters are starting to understand how they’ve been swindled into thinking that the Democratic Party best represents their interests. That’s worrisome for Democrats at large. The facts, coming home to roost, will create a major backlash against the Democratic Party.”

Orwell was right.
MSNBC ANCHOR IDENTIFIES SEGREGATIONIST SENATORS FROM BIDEN CONTROVERSY AS REPUBLICANS. THERE’S JUST ONE PROBLEM:
“MSNBC anchor Kasie Hunt incorrectly identified the two segregationist senators referred to by former Vice President Joe Biden Tuesday night as Republicans during a Wednesday afternoon broadcast.
Except, both James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia, both of whom were brought up by Biden as examples of “civility” at the Tuesday night New York City fundraiser, were Democrats.”
