I am truly shocked to see people of color walk off the Democrat plantation. If this keeps up what will massa gonna do?
I love it too Pie. Black people have been exploited far too long by the democrat party who offers them nothing but space on their plantation and victimhood.
The youth is our country’s lifeline to our Constitutional Republic’s survival. Thank God they are waking up to secure their freedom instead of servitude.
It’s Candace, actually.
1) That phrase is racist. You are comparing 95% of African-American voters, not just to slaves, but to willing slaves because they vote differently from you. You are claiming that most African-Americans are too ignorant or uneducated to vote the right way. And you wonder why they won’t vote for your party? It’s disrespectful stuff like this. 2) There is no Walk Away “movement.” It’s a hashtag used primarily by Russian bots. Some are real but they represent no noticeable societal shift towards minorities supporting Republicans. https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/17/opinions/russian-bots-2018-midterm-elections-opinion-love/index.html 3)Why would they? A huge talking point on the right these days is that we have to lower immigration to stop demographic change because non-whites was a group will never vote for Republicans. This isn’t just the fringe saying this, this is Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham and people working in the freaking White House. Republicans could do things to win these voters over; both African-Americans and Hispanics tend to be more religious and publicly anti-abortion than whites. Instead, conservatives have all but admitted that they have to restrict the freedom of movement and economic liberty of potential immigrants because Republicans can’t win them over in the battle of ideas. 4) Bobby Jindal offered a path forward to make the party more accommodating to people of color, and instead of following his advice the Republican party moved hard in the other direction, electing the most openly racist and xenophobic president in modern times. 5) The Walk Away movement offers no new ideas or policies geared to appeal to minorities, only insults about “Democrat plantations” and such. No wonder it isn’t reaching very many real people.
Via Chris: “A huge talking point on the right these days is that we have to lower immigration to stop demographic change because non-whites was a group will never vote for Republicans.”
That is not a talking point on the right, huge or otherwise!
It is a huge left wing propaganda point…still falling for the crap!
“Republicans could do things to win these voters over…”
And we are, in particular within the Trump administration. hence, the left wing sense of panic.
Black and Hispanic employment highest it’s ever been. Real wage growth at 4%. Empowerment zones being established in areas like Detroit and Chicago. Trump directed millions in grants for minorities and women to participate in STEM education programs and he inspired private companies to train employees in technical jobs on the job. Technical education and vocational studies, programs that are heavily utilized by minorities, have received $1.2 billion in funding. He’s engaged in prison reform . He’s lowered healthcare costs for minorities by eliminating Obamacares costly individual mandate and given access to Short-Term Limited-Duration plans. Premiums for these plans can be up to 80 percent lower than Obamacare healthcare plans and offer more affordable healthcare options for minorities. Housing and Urban development are a big part of Trumps agenda. He’s accomplishing a lot all with his own grit and mettle and his incredible leadership.
He could use some help from a do-nothing but impeach House…that sorry body is after blood and seeking revenge for the Clinton impeachment. They have no interest in working for minorities. Do you honestly think they aren’t noticing?
That is not a talking point on the right, huge or otherwise! Yes, it is. How can you deny this? Tucker Carlson: “That’s what it looks like when a hostile foreign power interferes in your democracy. They [meaning Mexico] don’t buy Facebook ads that nobody sees. Why would they? They try to change the demographics of your country. That works.” Laura Ingraham: “The America we know and love doesn’t exist anymore. Massive demographic changes have been foisted on the American people, and they are changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don’t like … this is related to both illegal and legal immigration” https://twitter.com/ndrew_lawrence/status/1027380439420420101?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1027380439420420101&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.huffpost.com%2Fentry%2Flaura-ingraham-immigration-rant_n_5b6bbfd7e4b0bdd0620646fa These comments are not atypical for them. And they are echoed in the links to white supremacist websites that were linked to in the Stephen Miller e-mails that were just released. Websites that have, on occasion, been linked to on this very blog. And we are, in particular within the Trump administration. hence, the left wing sense of panic. Insane. Trump is imprisoning minority children and separating them from their families over misdemeanors that were previously handled by giving them a court date. He suggested banning an entire religious group from immigrating. Most people of color continue to despise him, and rightly so. The employment stats follow trends that started under the Obama administration. You denied all positive economic news under Obama and now want to give Trump all the credit, as if the progress started with him when really a lot of that progress slowed. Wage growth, for instance, escalated far more quickly under Obama than Trump, as you can see in this graph: https://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/bls-average-weekly-earnings1.jpg But you don’t care for graphs and stats; your feelings tell you Trump is better, and that’s what you’ll go with.
Chris as always you are influenced by your own prejudices!
There is a concerted, planned effort to change America to favor socialism or communism! It’s been going on since the thirties. Open borders is just the latest ploy. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with political power.
Do you keep up with history at all?
Neither Carlson nor Ingraham agree with white supremacists. You try to tie them together because it fits your twisted sick narrative. Sad. You put up walls and prevent meaningful discussion.
Dear God you still believe that old lie!!
Trump has done nothing except follow the law…Obama did the same. The difference is media treatment.
There are some very good reasons to separate some children, they are being used by people who are not their family! It is potentially dangerous to house them with adults where they can be raped, battered, exploited.
“You denied all positive economic news under Obama and now want to give Trump all the credit”
Bottom line, Obama policies made it possible for the rich to get richer while the middle class was gutted and the numbers of poor increased. His policies failed miserably on the whole. What exactly do you suggest he be given credit?
“Wage growth, for instance, escalated far more quickly under Obama than Trump”
Political Insider reported in September that, “…incomes declined under Obama, bringing them down to where they were back in 2000, they’re finally trending up once again…According to CNBC, wages rose 2.9% in August (on an annualized basis), which marked the fastest level of growth since 2009.
In August 2019 Financial Review reported, “The typical American worker’s pay is finally growing more than 3 per cent a year, a level not seen since before the Great Recession. Similarly, consumer and business confidence surged after Trump’s election and has remained high, and manufacturing output (and jobs) also saw a noticeable jump in 2018…”
Fewer Americans are on food stamps and good manufacturing jobs have returned. Obama said manufacturing would never return to America. He didn’t now much about business or making America work for the people, he knew about organizing and agitating and turning this nation socialist. Obamacare is a great example.
It could get even better if Democrats governed for the people rather than power and control.
Chris you eed to look in the mirror. You think you’re talking about me but you’re not. I’ve always given you facts, charts, and statistics to make my points on the economy. I have also explained how things work under both Dem and Rep policies. You have yet to explain how raising taxes, piling on senseless regulations, and legislating government takeover in the private sector will make an economy grow. Hint, it won’t which is why you can’t really discuss or defend economic issues.
Amazing what Trump has done for the middle-class after just two and a half years compared to what Bush and Obama did, or should I say didn’t do after eight years.
Bush – $401
Obama – $1,043
Trump – $4,146 under Trump through July 2019
$6,000 with tax cut
Middle-Class Incomes Surging – Thanks to Trump Policies:
“The latest Census Bureau Current Population Survey data now show that middle-class incomes, after adjusting for inflation, have surged by $5,003 since Donald Trump became president in January 2017. Median household income has now reached $65,976 – an all-time high and up more than 8 percent in 2019 dollars under the Trump presidency.
This data was compiled by the statisticians at Sentier Research, an economic research group whose founders have more than 30 years of experience at the Census Bureau in analyzing the monthly income numbers.
I reported last week in the Wall Street Journal that real median family income had soared by $4,146 under Trump through July 2019. The just-released August numbers from Sentier show a huge monthly gain of $857 in income per household.

These numbers contrast sharply with the 16 years prior to Trump’s presidency. In the eight years that George W. Bush was president, median income barely showed any gain, up just $401 thanks to the deep recession of 2008.
In the seven and a half years that Barack Obama was president, and not including the end of the recession, which Obama inherited, incomes inched up by $1,043 (June 2009 – January 2019). This means that in the 16 years before the Trump presidency, incomes rose by about $1,500 while in less than three years middle incomes have risen three times faster.
The contrast is even sharper when measured on a monthly basis. The monthly rise in incomes under Bush was $4. That number was $11 under Obama and $161 under Trump.
These income numbers are PRE-TAX, so they do NOT include the impact of the Trump tax cut. The Heritage Foundation estimates that the average household has saved $1,400 a year on their federal taxes from the 2017 Trump tax cut. This means many working-class families now have a $6,000 higher after-tax, and after-inflation paycheck today.”

Peggy, those numbers are not accurate. I recall fact-checking similar claims by Stephen Moore and Heritage a few months ago when you cited them, demonstrating how he misrepresented Sentier’s research as well as that of the Census Bureau. But here you go citing him again even though he’s doing the exact same thing.
Read the fact checks.

Ps. Stephen Moore was right.
Well said, Tina! Glad your back in form!!!!!
Democrats give away “free stuff.” Republicans offer freedom. True all of the way back to our Civil War.
Six Years Later, The Woman Who Thought Obama Would Pay For Her Gas And Mortgage Has Changed Her Tune:
“My, how far she’s come. Peggy Joseph made a name for herself shortly before the 2008 election, when she proudly proclaimed that if Obama was elected, her life would change in a drastic way.
I wouldn’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I wouldn’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know – if I help him, he’ll help me.
Well, despite all her help, she hasn’t felt the love from our Commander-in-Chief. In fact, her opinion of Obama has changed quite a bit.
As Washington Times reports, documentary filmmaker Joel Gilbert caught up with Joseph for his new film “There’s No Place Like Utopia.” And now, instead of giving him savior-like qualities, she’s more apt to compare him to a movie character: the Wizard of Oz.
“The little man behind the curtain, not who we thought or expected him to be.”
