Implied Consent Was Part of Every Scandal

by Jack

Washington can be a dangerous place for naive, reckless or incompetent people that wield great power.  There”s no end of things they can get into and cause trouble.   So it’s a given that if you are a democrat you are going to get in trouble, the trick is to avoid being caught.

aaaaa Anti-Obama MemeOne of the many secret compensating components for holding on to great power as a lackadaisical liberal is, only put your name on the dotted line when it’s absolutely necessary.  (Clinton’s Legacy, Page 112)   Instead, use implied consent.   This is derived from an overall policy that is made clear to your lieutenants.  They are told, it’s your call to manage your people, but you know what I want done.  (See Chicago Politics, page 236-242, C.Y.A. Chapter)

In a practical sense this avoids micromanaging, but it also provides shelter if the big “S” hits the fan, as it’s prone to do in Washington.  (See Politics 101, page 84, Plausible Deniability)   Success is derived from finding the proper balance between policy communication and your liberal supervision, assuming the policy itself is not flawed.  If it is flawed, then nothing good can be expected, you’re screwed.  (See Politics 101, page 164, Fruits of the Poisoned Tree and The Obama Memoirs, Red Press, 2012)

In the Obama Administration there has been a clear absence of cogent policy guidance and that has led to an excess of subordinates making those big decisions formerly made by the guy with sign on the desk that reads, “The Buck Stops Here.”  This still might be okay if such decision making was not being made based on assumptions due the lack of  presidential communication and his flawed policy.  (See Politics 101, page 19, Assumptions Make an Ass Out of You and Me and We’re All Screwed, Jay Carney, Random House, 2013)

Apparently President Obama has read very few books on politics, except those few translated from Cyrillic and this only compounds his lack of experience.  (See Lost in Translation, page 65 and  How to Be a Good Liberal Leader, by Joe Vissarionovich Stalin, Red Press, c1948, and How to be a By-stander as President, by Martin VanBuren, 1862)

Any Questions?

Look for the Dems to change their name to something else, since “Democrat” has become synonymous with lying, cheating, thievery, political payoffs, $pending like a drunken sailor(with apologies to sailors everywhere)and a total lack of ethical behavior.

Here’s a name that fit, how about changing them to the American Communist Party?

(Aside: Didn’t this blog once have a Preview button? If possible, bring it back. In the above, the word “communist” should have a strike through, but I have no idea if it will actually appear or not because there is no Preview function.)

  4. Libby says:

    “Any Questions?”

Yeah … what have you been smokin’, guy? I wouldn’t have thought crack was quite your thing.

  5. Pie Guevara says:

Hey, the strike through worked! Heh heh heh heh heeeee! 😀

WOW! These dirt bag IRS thugs have the same rights as common thugs! Funny how that works. Especially coming from an agency that practices the violation the basic Constitutional Rights of American citizens as standard operating procedure. (CAPITAL R Rights so as to distinguish true Rights from the morass of puerile pabulum rights spewed by the progressive left.)

Lerner should now come under intense examination and I hope a criminal case follows. This is disgusting behavior for a public servant.

I was watching a history show the other day and they were noting that JFK used the IRS to audit companies that were donating to his political opponents, thus discouraging their monitary contributions in exchange for the IRS backing off.

  6. Post Scripts says:

Libby, I guess you didn’t see any humor in my article?

Well, how about the reality parts? Too many people in the Obama Administration seem to know nothing or have a weak excuse why it’s not their fault? You deny that’s going on?

That’s all coming from their boss, that’s his gig. The by-stander president, I didn’t know, not my fault, never had any knowledge of that, I don’t remember, it’s not my responsibility, nobody told me, didn’t find out until later, it was the best information at the time, etc.

Libby, this guy is a fraud and you have been taken. I feel bad for you and every voter who believed in him. He’s not the guy you thought you were electing.

  7. Tina says:

Jack: “He’s not the guy you thought you were electing.”

Or is he? Good grief his popularity hasn’t dropped a single point with all of this going on, and why? Low info voters don’t associate Obama with any of it…ANY OF IT!

This man speaks with forked tongue, first he declares to the world that he’s the great (magical?) uniter, then he targets citizens in the opposing party as “the enemy” and sicks the IRS on Tea Partier’s and FOX News DC reporters who are simply engaging in journalism. (shock) Lofo voters don’t even notice. And the true believers and worshiping dupes nod their heads in approval,…“See how good he is!

When top secret information was about to be published by the New York Times under GWB the administration called them and asked that they not publish it because it would endanger the lives of local people who were helping us and our troops. Concern for the good guys; concern for the American people; doing his job courteously and without malice toward a newspaper that is not friendly to him. The NYT published anyway. GWB clenched his jaw, sucked it up, and left them alone…freedom of speech and the press.

What does Obama do when a reporter asks questions and is given information by a source that the administration says is secret? They launch a secret investigation and snoop into his and his parents phone and email records and, in the justification to obtain a subpoena, make the absurd accusation that, “there is probable cause to believe” Mr. Rosen is ‘an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator.’”

The judge was, no doubt, a true believer/supporter of the administration…my opinion!

The Wall Street Journal noted today, “The Justice Department said in a statement that ‘no reporter has ever been charged by the Department of Justice simply for publishing information obtained through an illegal leak of classified information by a government official. At this time, we do not anticipate bringing any additional charges in this matter.'”

Right! Got it. You didn’t expect the left media to be outraged!

This administration is acting like the East German Stasi and LoMo Americans yawn…but true believer extraordinaire asks, “What have you been smokin guy?”

Interesting note on the Stasi from the link above:

During the 1970s and ’80s, the Stasi worked closely with the RAF and cooperated with Abū Niḍāl, Ilich Ramírez Sánchez (commonly known as Carlos, or “the Jackal”), and the Palestine Liberation Organization. The Stasi also allowed Libyan agents to use East Berlin as a base of operations for carrying out terrorist attacks in West Berlin. Following the bombing of a discotheque in West Berlin (April 1986) that killed two U.S. servicemen, the Stasi continued to allow Libyan agents to use East Berlin as both a base of operations and a safe haven.

Jay Carney characterizes his boss as America’s great defender who promises to get to the bottom of this…”So it will never happen again.”

Horsefeathers! Obama is the community organizer. His campaign and administration have been run just like other radical community organizations that have come under his tutelage.

Seems that her opening statement disqualified her from hiding behind the 5th amendment.
Lois will be recalled to Issa’s committee in hopes of some real answers since she blew it the first time.
    Go gettem, Issa!

  9. Libby says:

Well, Jack, there’s humor, and then there’s delusion. You’ve crossed the line … I’m afraid.

“This still might be okay if such decision making was not being made based on assumptions due the lack of presidential communication and his flawed policy.”

Dude. This don’t make no sense at all … and I could paste six others!

    • Post Scripts says:

Libby, alrighty then…let me get the crayons out. Ready for an example of what I meant?

      (1) Presidents Policy: Create more employment (a) There’s a Clear Objective. (b) Precise details: Reduce unemplyment from 11% to 8%. (c) Precise Timeline: Do it in 2 years.

This objective is assigned to Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Commerce. They in turn develop sub-goals along their own timeline in order to arrive at the desired objective set by the President. During the implementation phase the flow of communication must go up the ladder and down the ladder freely, so everyone operates from the same page. This avoids problems like redundancies and help everyone stay within an acceptable paradigm (operational plan).

In ideal situations this is how things get done and it’s what I was referring to when I said, “This still might be okay if such decision making was not being made based on assumptions due the lack of presidential communication and his flawed policy.”

Giving people (your supervisors or cabinet level people) free reign over their government fiefdoms could work! Yes. But, only if they have a clear understanding of your vision/objectives and this is married to your overall policy/ies and if that policy/ies is flawed, for example, I want to build a rocket to mars for under $50, then adding more details to it by your subordinates won’t help! It’s a stupid, unworkable idea.

Last point, any clear policy has enough information that making assumptions to fill in the gaps is unnecessary. Therefore the bosses vision must be stated clearly. Obama’s policies are confusing and full of mixed messages, they are therefor poorly excuted because they were poorly thought out. Adding details to them doesn’t salvage these bad ideas.

      Capche?

#8 Tina : Jack: “He’s not the guy you thought you were electing.”

Or is he? Good grief his popularity hasn’t dropped a single point with all of this going on, and why? Low info voters don’t associate Obama with any of it…ANY OF IT!

Tina I also think this is one of the most confusing things I have seen/or remembered in politics. It is Blatant obvious because of the past two weeks and by Obama own admission of not knowing whats happening in HIS administration, he is a loser and should be removed from office. (sadly that leaves Biden to finish the term off as well as America) Is Obama presidency based solely on the purchase power of welfare. Has America reach such a low point that Socialistic policies mean more than free enterprise. How did we get to this point, and so fast? Is Obama the pied piper of sloth and a large (welfare dependent) percentage of Americans have just gotten so use to big government entitlements we may never see see self-reliance as a solution to prosperity again? Should those of us that still think our future and goals in life are a reward of our own work and endeavor be considering alternatives to how we channel the income we earn. We still have 3 years plus of Obama and HIS administrations incompetency to live, through, I for one am willing to devote my tax dollars to continuous Congressional hearings that could keep Obama busy enough to prevent further destruction of American values.
Also , if Obama himself is always pleading ignorance about any knowledge of what is taking place, maybe we need to look to Michelle, In my opinion, she like Hillary has her own goals and willing to use Americas prosperity to achieve them. The pair of Obama’s really are Americas biggest problem, not withstanding all this other diversionary crap coming to light. However if I had just one issue to dwell on, it will be the four lives sacrificed by Obama’s administration and how it should be the sole catalyst to end Obamas (as well as who pulls his strings) destruction of American values.

  11. Tina says:

Nicely said Harold. You are expressing a lot of us share the same sentiments; we are even hearing from a few Democrats that are appalled at the overreach and corruption we are witnessing.

The sheer number of abuses in different departments will take a long time to sort through. Our founders made the process slow and tedious but be assured, the process will illustrate the wisdom of their insistence that a limited federal government is the way to go:

    Thomas Jefferson:

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

    Alexander Hamilton:

If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare… The powers of Congress would subvert the very foundation, the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America.

    John Adams:

The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.

    James Madison:

As a man is said to have a right to his property, he may be equally said to have a property in his rights. Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions.

If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the General Welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one, possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one, subject to particular exceptions.

It is sufficiently obvious, that persons and property are the two great subjects on which Governments are to act; and that the rights of persons, and the rights of property, are the objects, for the protection of which Government was instituted. These rights cannot well be separated.

There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.

    George Washington:

No taxes can be devised which are not more or less inconvenient and unpleasant.

The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government. But the Constitution which at any time exists, ’till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People is sacredly obligatory upon all.

[W]e ought to deprecate the hazard attending ardent and susceptible minds, from being too strongly, and too early prepossessed in favor of other political systems, before they are capable of appreciating their own.

    Benjamin Franklin:

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

No nation was ever ruined by trade, even seemingly the most disadvantageous.

Kudos to Tax Lawyers Blog linked above for assembling and posting the quotes!

The Father of our country, George Washington also said: “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”

Time to return to our roots…see my latest post, “Time for Fundamental Transformation of Big Government”.

  12. Libby says:

“This avoiding problems like redundancies and staying within an acceptable paradigm.”

Jack … it’s not me who’s abusing the substances … if this is supposed to say something. Cause Dude … it don’t.

Except, of course, that you don’t like to be funding your government, which we already knew. But why? Because it’s operated by human beings?

I mean if your trying to tell us that the human beings that operate the government are in some way more malfeasant that any other group of human beings operating any other entity … these paragraphs have not done the job.

    Try again.

    • Post Scripts says:

“This avoids problems like redundancies and (helps) stay within an acceptable paradigm.” Does that sound any better Libs?

Libby, you make a good point. We’re all flawed people in some way. However, by the same token… “To whom much is given, much is expected.” Ever hear of that concept? “But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” Luke 12:48

So Libs I freely admit not a good typist or a writer. Of course I don’t get paid for this…so don’t expect much. I’ve also noticed that the older I get the worse I get. I’m approaching my obsolescence. However, despite my poor skills demonstrated here regularly, that’s still NO excuse for you NOT to hold our public servants accountable. It’s the best thing you can do for your country.

  13. Libby says:

I’ve said it before. The day you start to hold our public servants accountable for enacting legislation written by the nation’s corporate entities … it is the day I’ll lay off.

  14. Tina says:

Libby: “The day you start to hold our public servants accountable for enacting legislation written by the nation’s corporate entities…”

A smaller federal government with a simple tax code would solve this problem…and more.

Companies lobby Congress to keep laws friendly and workable for business. Deals are made because congressmen want donations and businessmen want to operate without outrageous restrictions and barriers. With a small federal government companies could redirect both time and money to better uses…like job creation!

Our politicians would just have to give up being unscrupulous money grubbing, man for hire legislation writers and find a different occupation back home.

Bonus: Unions and special interest groups that influence legislation as much, or more, than corporations would also be eliminated.greatly curtailed!

All of us would be jerked around a lot less.

    Wouldn’t it be great?

But beyond my own personal dream do you seriously think big healthcare insurance, pharma, unions, and organizations like AARP didn’t “write” Obamacare? You know the legislation written in order to force single payer…your hearts desire? Well put a sock in it Libby, you haven’t tried to discourage the practice at all when it buys something you want. It’s either bad practice or it isn’t; you can’t have it both ways.

It’s also hypocritical of you to try to nail Jack on this. Big Democrat Machine practically invented the practice.
