Talk show host Mark Levin has a grand idea and a new book, The Liberty Amendments, that he hopes will inspire grassroots activism at the state level. He calls on his 8.5 million listeners to organize a “we the people” effort to demand a convention of the states with the constitutionally backed aim to reign in the federal government:
The author of two New York Times bestsellers on the threats to the Constitution, Levin hopes his latest, “The Liberty Amendments,” out mid-August, will spark the state lawmakers to tap a rarely used Constitutional provision to institute measures that would brake President Obama’s use of executive orders, bar thousand-page laws and collar inventive judges.
As Mark so brilliantly conveys in all of his work, the federal government has grown well beyond its original purpose to become, “…the nation’s largest creditor, debtor, lender, employer, consumer, contractor, grantor, property owner, tenant, insurer, health-care provider, and pension guarantor. Moreover, with aggrandized police powers, what it does not control directly it bans or mandates by regulation.”
That astounding reality is absolutely absurd for a nation founded on freedom! Read more about his plan, and find links to purchase his books, at the Washington Examiner link above.
What a great way to
1. get a flat tax instead of what we have now
2. enact term limits
3. require a balanced budget – no budget=no pay or perks
4. get rid of Obumblecare
5. require photo voter ID
6. allow Clowngress to fire cabinet members caught lying under oath
All of which would never get through Clowngress – even if the polls showed 100% in favor.
J I haven’t read the book since it’s just out but from what I understand this doesn’t have anything to do with Clowngress. This is about constitutional power given to governors of the states. The right holds a majority of the governorships, if I’m not mistaken, so the timing is perfect for just such a we the people revolt.
I thought it was worth mentioning. Republican governors have already begun to revolt. Many of them have refused to create exchanges under Obumblecare. They are rejecting mandates and fighting back against gun laws. We just happen to live in one of the march i9nto hell states 🙁
Did you hear what’s happening in Georgia? And they opted out of the state exchange.
Levin’s timing may be right on.

Georgia insurance commissioner reviewing ObamaCare rates:
ATLANTA – If the example one Georgia insurance company offered is true of the others, coverage under the individual plans to be offered in October under federal health reform will be about 45 percent higher than what a middle-aged family of five could get today.
“I am very concerned that the full implementation of ObamaCare will drastically increase the price Georgians pay for health insurance,” said Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens.
But officials at the Georgia Department of Insurance aren’t ready to offer any public conclusions while independent actuaries evaluate the plans and premiums seven companies submitted in April. Hudgens has the power to reject rates he considers too high even though the federal government will operate Georgia’s online exchange where they’ll be sold in addition to private insurance agents.
“Insurers cannot expect to hide behind changes in federal law as a pretext for boosting their bottom line,” he said. “My first responsibility is to protect Georgia consumers, and as ObamaCare continues to unfold, I will do my best to fulfill that duty.”
One company, Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare Plan of Georgia, included an example of the cheapest option under the federally prescribed plans. For the middle-aged couple living in Albany and their three children – including one who smokes – the monthly premium is $1,605, which is higher than what the company offers now for the same family, at $1,100, according to Georgia Health Coverage Inc., an independent insurance agency.
