Victims of the Fort Hood terror attack by Maj Nidal Hasan are suing the government for failing to prevent the attack due to preferential treatment due to his ethnicity and religion citing political correctness. One hundred forty-eight victims and relatives have joined the suit which asks for $750 million in compensation.
The U.S. Government characterized the attack, “workplace violence”.
Major Hasan faces 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in federal court where he has chosen to represent himself. He made the following statements to FOX News over the weekend:
I, Nidal Malik Hasan, am compelled to renounce any oaths of allegiances that require me to support/defend (any – sic) man made constitution (like the constitution of the United States) over the commandments mandated in Islam … I therefore formally renounce my oath of office … this includes my oath of U.S. citizenship.” …
‘My complicity was on behalf of a government that openly acknowledges that it would hate for the law of Almighty Allah to be the supreme law of the land,’ …
‘I would like to begin by repenting to Almighty Allah and apologize to the Mujahideen, the believers, and the innocent. … I ask for their forgiveness for participating in the illegal and immoral aggression against Muslims, their religion and their lands,’ he said in the statement.
Hasan also declared that Sharia Law and the U.S. Constitution are incompatible:
“There is an inherent and irreconcilable conflict. … in an American Democracy ‘we the people’ govern according to what ‘we the people’ think is right or wrong; even if it specifically goes against what All-Mighty God commands.”
The victims have been denied certain benefits and purple hearts because the shootings were designated as workplace violence a situation that many believe is not only shameful but entirely inappropriate.
Hasan’s trial begins Tuesday.
Good for them!!!
The fact that Hasan has yet to stand trial is an indictment of Obumble and his “workplace violence” decision by itself.
WAY past time for the victim’s families to see justice.
Let’s hope they have a strong case. The “work-place violence” stand does sound like the government failed to meet all employer’s requirement to provide a safe working environment.
